Okay, we’ve been MIA.  We admit it. Shhh…our secret undertakings while being off grid were totally worth it!We going on the road and first stop is Midway Swiss Days! But seriously, our Tirli Wirli by No Fuss Fabulous booth is serious.  It is too cute to spook.  It is bright and fun and a party under a white canopy of tulle and tissy. Yeah, I don’t know what a tissy is but it’s making this tent a a booth to remember.  Any thing we have made and feature here is available for purchase – just send us an email! But this weekend we are booked at the Swiss fair in the foothills of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains!!!  We will be selling Halloween Haunted Mansions that will shimmer in the sunlight and spook at night from your front windows. We also will have witches and pumpkins and owls and all sorts of Halloween silhouettes to add a sparkle to your upcoming boo-tiful holiday!  We will have reindeer stick horses, hand sewn styling Halloween birds and statuesque witch collectible dolls. Banner and bunting!!!  Basically too much fun. So, to our Utah fan base,  if you are in the area: Come say “Hi!”

A few days ago, I showed a sneak peek of my Fancy Nancy inspired invitations and party items from my Loralee Lewis & Co. .  I was creating the items for a very fancy four year old’s birthday soirée, Miss Jessie Ann!  This weekend was her fabulous event and my little diva got to go!  Here are a few photos of event!

Ordinary cupcake toppers simply wouldn’t do!  Ours had to have tulle and marabou!

 Of course, I forgot my camera, but luckily Jessie’s mom emailed me the below shots.   Here are a few things that were or were not photographed that I thought were oh-so-tres-chic.   

1) Jessie’s mom created a little table with crystal dishes on it filled with colorful beads.  Each of the girls made their very own necklaces.   I created little signs for each color of beads that said things like: 
Aquarmarine 
(That’s a fancy shade of blue!) 
or
Buttercup
(That’s a fancy way of saying yellow!)

The girls thought this was very grown up.

2) Each girl got a little black favor purse filled with a mini nail polish and stick on earrings.  I blinged out the handbags with tulle, stick on jewels, and a label that said Merci Beaucoup. 

3)  Jessie’s mom came up with the idea of having a banner that said Fancy Four!  So we whipped one up and hung it with a boa.

4) Due to peanut allergies of some of the pint-sized guests, Jessie’s mom kept the food easy.  Instead of doing fancy cucumber sandwhiches which would have made three and four year olds tongue curl, she ordered pizza!  I thought this was adorable because it was perfect for a little girl birthday and wasn’t trying so hard!  The girls loved it.

 5) We blinged out the water bottles with glitz ribbon and stick on jewels telling the girls it was fresh spring water – which is fancier than water jsut from the tap.

6) Ring pops were used as napkin rings!

7) I created oversized place cards for each girl with “fancy” by their name.  This helped to eliminate fighting over seats!   It’s funny how even  at 3 and 4, girls love to know where they are sitting!

And just in case you were worried about the succes of the event, here is a photo of my three-year-old Miss V in her car seat on the way home.  I think it’s safe to say, she felt pretty good about herself and very fancy!  Thanks, Miss Jessie for letting us be a part of your very fancy soirée.  It was spelidferous!

And it’s just not their selection of great little black dresses.  I love their patterns and color selection too.  In fact, Annie recently purchased this.  And trust me, I am checking every day to see when it’s back available in the camel in my size. (Luckily, I’m not an XL but unfortunately I am not an XXS either.) I’m just waiting for it to come in.

But the Texas heat has me dreaming of some other things as well…one of these things being ice molds! I have been OBSESSED lately with Fred & Friends adorable ice molds and chiller straws! They are so cute!  I’ve been staring at them in my office while the fan blows my hair (and sweat) from my face!

Where were these adorable Ice Princess straws two years ago when I had Miss V’s Pixie Princess Party?!?

They would be fun for a ice princess party too! Fred and Friend’s  ice palace was also adorable for little princesses. The dinosaur bones were a little too much for me tonight, but  let’s be honest – boys would literally eat them up.

Of course, I fell in love with the cool jewels .  They would be perfection at a diamond themed bachelorette party or my Fancy Nancy inspired affair I’m working on now.

I think I would just die to have these bone chillers at my Halloween bash?!? (All puns completely intended.)

As you can see, when she asked me to help her with Miss Jessie Ann’s upcoming fourth birthday, we both knew a Fancy Nancy inspired birthday was really the only option.  She really is the living breathing Fancy Nancy.

A party where I HAVE to use extreme amounts of tulle, glitter, rhinestones, and feathers!?!

The Tablescape.

To save time, I purchased Ethan’s cupcakes from The Cupcakery here in Dallas.
In the past, I have replicated some of their decorating genius in my own cupcake making.
I have learned that you can replicate the cupcake,
but not the ease of walking in and just buying your cupcakes!!
When I am more busy than usual (like this summertime filled with parties),
it’s worth it to me to purchase my cupcakes.

And let’s be honest, aren’t these just the cutest?
I stuck the umberellas in and was done!
Love that.

I’d be lying if I said the cupcake frosting was heat-resistant against the Texas sun.
But is that what we are really looking for in a cupcake? Heat-resistant frosting?

In order to feed the swarms of small ones with a budget smaller than the White House’s,
I purchased corn dogs from the freezer section of my local grocer and baked them at home.

I placed them in a colorful box lined with styrofoam to keep them upright and straight. 
It worked like a charm.  
The kiddos loved how they could help themselves…
and so did the hostess!

Drinks for the “Big Kids!”

I told you. I love labels.

In order to keep wet hands from diving into bowls of chips and cheetoes,
I designed single self-serve treat holders for each side item at the party.

I then labeled each of the three items using vintage surf lingo: 
The Big Cheese Daddy, Bahama Mama Mix, and Beach Bunny Bites.
I thought I was ingenious!
In order for the single-serves not to blow away with the occasional wind,
I place a 1/4 cup of sugar in a bag at the bottom of each item.

For the favors, I placed the popular cookies, Pecan Sandies, in small sandbuckets with labeled water bottles.
