Adolescent wizard-in-training Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts for another year of schooling and learns more about the dark past of the boy who grew up to become Lord Voldemort in this, the sixth installment of the film series that originated from the writings of author J.K. Rowling.

There was a time when Hogwarts was thought of as a safe haven, but thanks to Voldemort's tightening grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds, that simply isn't the case anymore.

Suspecting that the castle may even harbor an outright threat, Harry finds his investigation into the matter sidelined by Dumbledore's attempts to prepare him for the monumental battle looming ever closer on the horizon.

In order to discover the key to Voldemort's defenses, Dumbledore enlists the aid of resourceful yet unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, who may have a clue as to their enemy's Achilles' heel.

Meanwhile, teenage hormones cause the students at Hogwarts to lose focus on their true mission.

As Harry and Dean Thomas clash for the affections of the lovely Ginny, Romilda Vane attempts to woo Ron away from Lavender Brown with some particularly tasty chocolates.

Even Hermione isn't immune from the love bug, though she tries her hardest to suppress her growing jealousy and keep her emotions bottled up. But there is one student who remains completely aloof from the romance blossoming all around, and he intends to leave a dark impression on his classmates. With tragedy looming ever closer, it begins to appear as if peace will prove elusive in Hogwarts for some time to come.

Rolling Stones guitarist was released after being arrested

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was released on bail Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.

The 62-year-old was arrested near his home in southern England on Wednesday and spent the night in police custody before being released.

"I can confirm that there was an incident last night and that Ronnie Wood was arrested," a spokesman for the musician said, adding that he did not have any further details.

As the case is under investigation, police have said little. They have not stated who filed the assault complaint .

Wood will face police questioning again in January.

The assault charge follows Wood's highly publicized divorce last month from his wife of 24 years, Jo, on grounds of adultery. The divorce settlement set Wood back an estimated £6.5 million ($10.7 million). He and Jo have two children.

Wood has reportedly been dating a 20-year-old Russian cocktail waitress, Ekaterina Ivanova, for a year.

Tiger Woods : Sexual addicts are unable to manage their sexual behavior

An alleged 4th mistress, Jamie Jungers, and a 5th, Mindy Lawton, have now been named in the Tiger Woods infidelity story. According to the Associated Content, Ms. Jungers follows on the heals of three other women including Rachel Uchitel, Kalika Moquin, and Jamiee Grubbs, who have also been linked with the pro-golfer (photos below). The HuffingtonPost published Ms. Lawton's tale on a related blog. With more women coming out of the golf bag, Modern Love wonders if we may be dealing with a cat inclined towards sexual addiction, using money as the ultimate aphrodisiac. No doubt to many, money is sexy.

Of course, only time and a certified professional can answer those questions as they pertain to this unfolding story. In the meantime, Modern Love wants to explore the allure of money and sex, and how they can undermine even a seemingly strong marriage, particularly if one partner suffers from sexual addiction.

Real or fake?
Sexual addicts are unable to manage their sexual behavior. In some cases, they claim that the desire to sleep with as many people as they can, as often as they can, is a compulsive behavior (the ‘my penis made me do it’ camp), while others may be suffering from some other emotional imbalance (the ‘my heart made me do it’ camp).

No one yet knows whether sexual addiction is rooted in a propensity towards addiction, obsessive-compulsive behavior (OCD), or if it is a by-product of our highly sexualized society. Like most traits, the likelihood is that a bit of nature and a bit of nurture contribute to its manifestation. Whether or not the sexologists agree is besides the point to those who suffer from sexual addiction, or those who love them.

However real or fake, there are indeed women (and men) who wil also claim to have had relations with a celebrity for the sake of their 5 minutes of fame (infamy). Rumors along these lines are certain to be damaging in the short term, and long term, not just for the celebrity, but also for the alleged lover.

Money is sexy
For many, money (and its sidekicks, fame and recognition) is the ultimate aphrodisiac, even worth lying for. Trips, fancy dinners, elegant parties, penthouse suites in the finest hotels – the mating and dating rituals of the rich and famous can make ordinary life appear boring, pedantic even. Who wants to think about cooking dinner, paying the bills, or making sure little Johnny cleaned behind his ears when you can pay others to take care of the mundane?

Modern Love understands the allure of pleasure, sexual and otherwise. I’ve written many columns specifically to help ordinary couples increase intimacy in their lives, sexual and otherwise. Alas, the problem is that when money is falsely adored, replacing real intimacy, a relationship becomes a house of cards. With enough pressure, the slightest hint of a breeze or a scandal as is now unfolding, it can collapse.

Why? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to prove what social scientists have already discovered. Money may be sexy, but it doesn’t buy happiness (Women are sadder because deep down men are shallower). Oh, it can buy sexual favors, it can buy adoration, it can buy silence, and it can even buy you a wife, but money, in the long run, will not guarantee that elusive thing we call happiness. Need evidence?

Just take a look at the Woods family now. Whatever is going on behind their closed doors, we can be certain that it will take a lot of love, communication, and healing to put back together what rumors and allegations have torn asunder.

Donny Osmond was crowned the winner of Dancing with the Stars

Attention astronauts: If you see a huge beam of light coming from somewhere near Donny Osmond's house in Utah, be not afraid.

"I'm probably putting it on top of my house with a spotlight on it for all the world to see," Donny told us tonight of his shiny new disco ball trophy.

We hung out backstage after tonight's live season finale of Dancing with the Stars, where Donny was crowned the winner and was downright giddy.

"I'm so happy. I'm so happy. I'm so happy right now!" he sang out. "I'm on cloud nine!"

And he wasn't the only one beaming...

As we interviewed Donny and his partner Kym Johnson, Kelly Osborne proved she's an all-for-one-and-one-for-all kinda gal by jumping right in to smooch them and squee: "I'm so happy for you, I'm so happy for you!"

(And you know what? We believe her.)

So why was it a different tune for runner-up Mya? And why were the judges so surprised by Donny's win?

"We didn't know who was going to win right up until the moment that they announced it was Donny!" Carrie Ann Inaba revealed to us after the show. "I think we had Mya and Donny matched, but it was emotional, exciting. It was surprising. It was good."

Meanwhile, Mya, who has been a frontrunner all season long, was feeling some conflicting emotions. "There's so much. There's disappointment, dedication, passion and commitment…I've learned multiple amount of things. It's an experience that you'll never forget for the rest of your life and that you want to share with others."

Kelly O. said she has no regrets. "[Before the show], I was the definition of being sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I needed a change. I threw myself in and what I got out of this is priceless."

As the studio cleared out and the contestants were escorted back to their dressing rooms, Donny the Champ still looked shaken as he clutched his disco ball trophy. "I'm numb. I can't believe I'm holding this right now!"

V for Vendetta director James McTeigue re-teams with that film’s producers Larry and Andy Wachowski for this action-packed tale of a skilled assassin who was trained by a mythical secret society, and patiently awaits the day he will avenge the death of his best friend. Swept off the streets as a young boy, Raizo (Korean pop star Rain) is transformed into an unstoppable killing machine by a secret society known as the Ozunu Clan. The Ozunu Clan is so proficient at keeping their existence a secret that most people think they are only a myth, but the moment Ozuno assassins kill Raizo’s friend, their days in the shadows are numbered. In the aftermath of that killing, Raizo stages a daring escape, subsequently biding his time until the day he can take the entire Ozunu Clan down.

Later, in Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) discovers a money trail connecting multiple political murders to a mysterious network of elusive assassins from the Far East. While her superior Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles) orders Mika to back down and stop asking questions, she stealthily begins searching through classified agency files on a relentless mission to discover the truth about the murders. Singled out as a target as a direct result of her investigation, Mika is marked for death by lethal Ozunu assassin Takeshi (Rick Yune). Seemingly made to capitalize on a dubious CG innovation — namely, the slicing of bodies in half by whizzing five-pointed stars — “Ninja Assassin” has little else to recommend it, not even laughs. Working again with the Wachowski brothers as producers, director James McTeigue delivers a lower-brow, somewhat livelier work than the team’s “V for Vendetta.” But unless the viewer is easily delighted by ultraviolence for its own sake, this thinly plotted movie about a young ninja’s revenge against his cruel trainers will disappoint. Warner Bros.’ Nov. 25 release should nonetheless prove effective as holiday-season counterprogramming, at least in the short term.

Korean pop star Rain conjures only a mild drizzle as Raizo, a limber bone-snapper trained from a young age by a secret society of child-abducting killer-for-hire ninjas. Early flashbacks reveal Raizo to have been taken in as an orphan by the Ozunu Clan, which he defies by running away in the wake of his sweetheart’s murder by cold-blooded Lord Ozunu (Sho Kosugi).

The pic’s present-day action, set in Berlin, revolves around Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris), a gorgeous Europol agent whose latenight sleuthing uncovers a financial connection between recent political assassinations and the Ozunu. Naturally, the agent herself is targeted for assassination, as chief Ozunu baddie Takeshi (Rick Yune) and his blade-tossing ninja comrades come West to forcibly halt the investigation. As if possessed of psychic powers, Raizo, hiding out in Europe, senses a chance to save a lovely lady where he had failed in the same task years before.

Eventually the film leads to a Europol-led shootout and a pair of unmemorably acrobatic duels between Raizo and his two archrivals — “older brother” Takeshi and raspy-voiced “father” Ozunu.

Though “Ninja Assassin” is implausible on countless levels, Raizo’s training to feel nothing at least gels with Rain’s ability to emote nothing. Harris, a strong presence in Michael Mann’s “Miami Vice” feature, acquits herself capably here, reacting believably to the incessant carnage around her.

Of course, the film’s raison d’etre is precisely its blood-soaked combination of physical stunts and digital trickery, the latter favored to a fault. While not remotely on par with the Wachowskis’ “bullet time” f/x in “The Matrix,” the ridiculous torrent of flying blades and flayed flesh here does appear unique in technological terms, and certainly pushes the pic’s R rating to its limits.

Indeed, such is the film’s level of insinuated gore that the frustratingly dark texture of many fight-scene shots can perhaps be explained by a post-production bid to avoid an NC-17. Whatever the case, the shadowy action is too often incomprehensible, except in the general sense that heads, limbs and torsos are being severed in massive numbers.

If there’s a sick joke to be had from this sort of human meat-carving, it isn’t found by McTeigue and his key collaborators, including conventionally quick-cutting editors Gian Ganziano and Joseph Jett Sally.

Where the pic does excel is in its immersive sound design, as swords, chains and myriad other weapons seem to sail around the theater, at times helping to clarify the dimly lit action.

Review in a Hurry: Awkward-humor auteur Wes Anderson, Oscar-winner George Clooney, and Willy Wonka creator Roald Dahl come together for a stop-motion animated feature that doesn't seem like it should make any sense at all—but it totally does. Fantastic, indeed.

The Bigger Picture: Fantastic Mr. Fox is one-of-a-kind and one of the year's best, though it definitely has echoes of other themes that are currently prevalent.

Like Up, it has animals that speak English, yet can suddenly, abruptly revert to idiosyncratic animal behavior, usually to humorous effect.

Like Where the Wild Things Are, it takes a beloved children's book and stays mostly true to it, while at the same time being very much a piece with the director's unique style and way of looking at the world.

But unlike Wes Anderson's other attempts to branch out—the clunky attempts at action sequences in The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou come to mind—Fantastic Mr. Fox is a rollicking, kid-friendly animated adventure, albeit one full of ironic dialogue and bizarre non sequiturs that will fly over the young'uns' heads.

Our protagonists are anthropomorphic subterranean mammals who live much like people, wearing clothes, holding down jobs and so forth, but also behaving according to their nature, which is to say that Mr. Fox steals and kills chickens from nearby farms. Birds, it seems, aren't anthropomorphic in this world; they're food. And domesticated dogs simply act like dogs, not people. Plus, foxes and badgers speak and write in English that can be understood by humans. Yet it all works. Maybe not super logically under geek-level analysis, but instinctively, on a kid level, sure.

Mr. Fox is voiced by George Clooney, in a casting nod clearly designed to draw mileage from his Ocean's heist movies. Retired from the farm-raiding business after he inadvertently puts his wife (Meryl Streep) in danger, he writes a newspaper column that nobody reads. Hoping to improve his family's life, he stretches his finances to buy a large tree house, but the new place just so happens to be right next door to three of the richest and most nasty farmers in all of...England? It's hard to tell, since all the animals speak like Americans, while the evil farmers, led by a gun-toting bully coincidentally named Mr. Bean (Michael Gambon) remain solidly British.

The book was of course set in Dahl's native country, but the book was also relatively short. Anderson's film adds an entire new third act, as well as a subplot involving the rivalry between Fox's awkward son and his athletic cousin. The Dahl estate are usually control freaks about fealty to the text, so it's interesting (and cool) that they gave this a pass.

While absolutely an Anderson film, it's arguably his most commercial feature to date, and certainly his laugh-out-loud funniest. In many of his movies, the humor is such that you don't quite know if you're meant to laugh or not, while here there is no doubt.

But it does feature many familiar voices from his usual gang: Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, Jason Schwartzman and even Anderson himself does a little voice-acting.

TV Show Recap and Video: Dancing with the Stars Episode Monday, Nov. 23, 2009

The Season 9 finale of Dancing with the Stars is finally upon us. Mya, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne face off one final time with three dances: a freestyle, an unlearned dance and the Mega Mix, a medley comprised of three styles in which they will perform the same routine. Who raised their game? Find out below!

This is it, folks. Three final routines for the books. Yeah, yeah, the Mega Mix is new and all, but all eyes are on their freestyles. We all know the freestyle makes it or breaks it for everyone. It's the first final for Louis and Dmitry, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with against perennial bridesmaid Kym, now a three-time finalist.

Round 1: Unlearned Dance
Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel: Argentine Tango
Carrie Ann drops by rehearsals and makes Kelly uncomfortable with her advice to be more suggestive in the dance. Louis told me they may make out in this number or do something of the sort to stick it to Bruno, who wanted more romance from Kelly last week. There is no makeout session, but Kelly did an admirable job of upping the intimacy quotient. The problem is they have such a great chemistry as BFFs that it's kind of hard to picture them as something more here. Kelly's footwork isn't as sharp and precise as it needs to be, and the intensity seems to come and go. They do an amazing lift sequence. Yeah, I don't know what that's called, but it looked awesome. Ozzy likes it. Denise likes it. Len says she epitomizes what the show is about and thinks she "danced right up there." Bruno says her free hand was a little loose and wants a little more sensuality. Carrie Ann is "so proud" of her, especially after seeing their very un-intimate rehearsal.

Mya and Dmitry Chaplin: Paso Doble
Len visits Mya and Dima. Duh! Who else would? The curmudgeon felt their initial routine was too lackluster and "piddly" so he gives them a good ol' kick in the butt, metaphorically speaking, of course. This is the fastest version of "We Will Rock You" I've ever heard that wasn't sung by the Chipmunks. In any case, there's nothing "piddly" about this anymore. It's fast, spunky, aggressive and full of 'tude. Now onto more important matters: I covet Mya's boots. Jane Seymour likes it. Or maybe she wants her boots too. Bruno says the power of Mya was unleashed for all to admiyah! Carrie Ann calls her the queen of the paso doble. Coach Len says this is up there with his favorite paso of all seasons — Mel and Maks'.

Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson: Cha-cha
Bruno, with his strategically unbuttoned shirt, wants Donny to "stop doing Vegas." So, Donny is wearing the silver version of his purple samba outfit from last week. Recycling is good, kids. I'm not sure what Bruno did, but Donny suddenly has hips and is workin' it like it's his job. Well, I guess it is for now. There's rhythm and pop and such easygoing, fluid motion. The walking section in the middle kind of takes you out of the routine a bit, but overall it's a great little sassy number. Marie likes it, and so does Gilles. Carrie Ann says Donny's hips busted out, but points out a tiny flub with his hands. Len calls it a true cha-cha. Bruno gives Donny props for being a professional during their rehearsal time together.

Round 2: Mega Mix
Like with many things this season, this is a brand spankin' new segment. It's a medley with three dance styles choreographed by Nick Kosovich and Karina Smirnoff. Everyone will dance at the same time and perform the same routine so we can judge them side by side. Kelly gets overwhelmed and was resigned to second or third place at first. Kym points out that Mya and Kelly could be Donny's daughters. Kelly Osbourne Osmond? This is like a more cohesive version of the mambo marathon (which, yes, I know exists in real ballroom competitions), but I have no idea where to focus for the first 30 seconds. Kelly seems the most tentative out of everyone, and Louis has trouble ripping off her skirt as they go into the samba. Seeing her next to Mya, who is just doing what Mya does best, the disparity in skill level is clear. Since Donny's a guy, it's hard to compare him against Kelly and Mya, but he's looking pretty solid with his guy routine. There's nothing egregiously wrong, but nothing fantastic about it either. Len says it's too difficult to call and calls it a draw. Bruno says Mya can samba, loves Kelly's waltz and thought Donny was one of the pros at certain points. Carrie Ann is impressed at how Donny kept up with the pro guys, loves Mya's samba-ing hips and Kelly's grace.

Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel
Louis picked "I Will Survive" for their freestyle to symbolize Kelly's journey. Kelly's feet are still giving her trouble, and she scowls at doing a handstand because she'd look like a beached whale upside down. They forego the handstand, but that's probably a good thing considering the spill she took afer a spin cycle lift from Louis. She laughs it off and gets right back into it, which is nice to see, especially after Donny's breakdown last week. The disco-inspired routine is fun and peppy, but there's nothing technically challenging. Girl sure knows how to get the peeps behind her though. Bruno says she never looked more beautiful and loves that she captured the glitz and glamour of the era, where sometimes people fell on the floor. Carrie Ann calls her a true survivor for tripping and getting back up. Len thoroughly enjoyed watching her.

Mya and Dmitry Chaplin
Dima wants to take a page out of Hairspray; Mya suggests Vegas because she wants to take more risks and finds Hairspray too safe. They agree on Hairspray in the end, and Mya's surprised the routine is not as conservative as she first dismissed it to be. The routine may not be conservative in terms of technique, but it is in terms of flair. This feels like just a regular ol' midseason jitterbug or jive from Mya. She doesn't miss a beat throughout (no pun intended), but there's nothing spectacular about it. You keep waiting for some great to highlight all of her crazy skills and sultry self, but there was nada. Too safe, Dima. Is is the end of the road for Mya? Carrie Ann calls it high-energy, fun, but not outstanding. Len agrees with Carrie Ann, saying that there was a sameness throughout. Bruno, ditto.

Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson
Kym's styling a Broadway routine for Donny. Good call. Now's the time to put all the hamminess out there. Donny says he wants to take risks and win it because "if you had a sister named Marie and she was going to rub it in your face the rest of your life, you'd want to win it too." They start off at the top at the stairs in robes and come out totally razzle-dazzling. This the ultimate routine for the ultimate showman. It's not over-the-top astonishing, but it's a surefire crowd-pleaser and full of pizzazz and moxie. The routine is still relatively safe, but there's an extra little oomph there. Props goes to Kym too for crafting a great freestyle perfectly suited to her partner for the third time. Len loves it. Bruno calls it Mr. Showbusiness at his best. Carrie Ann welcomes Donny to the Dancing Freestyle Hall of Fame. Does that means Marie's is in the Hall of Shame?

I must say Donny and Kym's glee at their first perfect 30 is sweet to see. All the freestyles were flat compared to what we've been treated with in seasons past. Yeah, there's usually at least one dud, but there's also usually at least one total showstopper.

Overall, Mya's still on top with 87, but Donny's right on her heels with 85. Kelly brings up the rear with 76.

Adam Lambert, the American Idol kissed male keyboardist and no apologies

Adam Lambert is making no apologies for his racy performance during Sunday's American Music Awards.

While closing the show with his new single "For Your Entertainment," the American Idol alum, 27, simulated fellatio with a male dancer, kissed male keyboardist Tommy Ratliff, grabbed his crotch and flipped off the crowd. (According to Rolling Stone, Lambert didn't clear the kiss with anyone in advance; he told CNN the smooch happened "in the moment.")

His performance was edited for the west coast feed of the awards show.

"You know honestly, if I offended some people... it's apples and oranges. I'm not an artist that does things for every single person," he told Access Hollywood. "I believe in artistic freedom and expression, I believe in honoring the lyrics of a song, and those lyrics aren't really for everybody either."

He also said he considered editing his performance "discrimination."

"There's a big double standard, female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I'm a male, and I'll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem," he explained.

Added Lambert, "People are scared and it's really sad, I just wish people could open their minds up and enjoy things, it's all for a laugh, it's really not that big of a deal."

Still, some fans and celebs don't agree.

"Did Adam Lambert just grind some dude's head in his crotch... TO MY NIECE... GO TO BED NOW!" The View's Sherri Shepherd Twittered. "And did Adam Lambert slip the tongue to one of his dancers???? Whoa... Celibate woman here... turning off TV now..."

Supermodel Kate Moss : "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" had been misinterpreted

Eating disorder experts criticized Kate Moss on Thursday after the supermodel cited as her motto a phrase used on Web sites that encourage girls to avoid eating.

In an interview with the fashion Web site WWD, Moss said one of her mottos was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

The same slogan is posted on Web sites encouraging girls not to eat.

Mary George of British eating-disorder charity Beat called Moss's words "very unfortunate."

"Comments like this make it even more difficult" for young people struggling with an eating disorder," she said.

Model Katie Green, who is campaigning to stop the use of ultra-thin "size zero" models, told The Sun newspaper the comments were "shocking and irresponsible."

Moss, 35, is famous for her waif-like look, which helped spur a trend for super-thin models in the 1990s.

Moss's modeling agency, Storm, said her words had been misinterpreted.

"This was part of a longer answer Kate gave during a wider-ranging interview, which has unfortunately been taken out of context and completely misrepresented," the agency said in a statement. "For the record, Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice."

British clothing sizes are normally two sizes above clothing sold in the U.S., so a 'size zero' in the United States would be a size 4 in Britain.

The Oprah Winfrey Show will end in 2011 after 25 seasons

"The Oprah Winfrey Show," an iconic broadcast that began as a local Chicago talk show and grew over two decades into the foundation of a media empire worth billions, will end its run in 2011 after 25 seasons on the air, Winfrey's production company said Thursday night.

Winfrey, who from a seat on the couch of her set in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood became a billionaire and one of the most powerful women in entertainment, plans to announce the final date for her show during a live broadcast on Friday, said Harpo Productions Inc.

A Harpo spokeswoman declined to comment Thursday when asked if Oprah's decision to end the show meant she planned to retire, or would move her broadcasting efforts onto a long-rumored Oprah network.

Winfrey's 24th season opened earlier this year with a bang, as she drew more than 20,000 fans to the city's Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue for a Chicago block party with the Black Eyed Peas.

She followed up with a series of blockbuster interviews — Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, exclusives with singer Whitney Houston and ESPN's Erin Andrews, and just this week, former Alaska governor, GOP vice presidential candidate and best-selling author Sarah Palin. She found time between shows to lobby the International Olympic Committee in Denmark for Chicago's failed bid to host the 2016 Olympics.

Winfrey started her broadcasting career as a teenager in Nashville, Tenn., reading the news at WVOL. Two years later, Winfrey started co-anchoring news broadcasts on WTVF-TV in Nashville. In 1976 she moved to Baltimore to anchor newscasts at WJZ-TV before becoming host of the local talk show "People Are Talking."

In 1984, she relocated to Chicago to host WLS-TV's morning talk show "A.M. Chicago" — the show was became "The Oprah Winfrey Show" one year later. She set up Harpo the following year and her talk show went into syndication, rising to become one of the most successful in the history of broadcasting.

"I came from nothing," Winfrey wrote in the 1998 book "Journey to Beloved." "No power. No money. Not even my thoughts were my own. I had no free will. No voice. Now, I have the freedom, power, and will to speak to millions every day — having come from nowhere."

Megan Fox doesn't think she has much in common with another actress with a strikingly similar past pedigree.

"People compare me to Angelina Jolie, and she's so serious and stoic," Megan told the New York Times Magazine. "I'm the opposite. When I do interviews, I say things that I think are hysterical. But because we live in a world of sound bites, you're not allowed to have a sense of humor. Sarcasm doesn't translate in print at all. And neither does self-deprecating humor. I'm not a tigress like Angelina. Of course, people want me to be. But I want to be the contradiction of that."

While the "Transformers" franchise actress has offered plenty of quotes that would indicate she is in fact a "tigress," like once saying she would "eat" Zac Efron, the actress said sometimes the Megan people read about, is actually someone else entirely.

"When I sit down to talk to men's magazines, there's a certain character that I play," she told the mag. "She's not fully fleshed out -- she doesn't have her own name -- but she shows up to do men's magazine interviews. There's something so ridiculous about always being in your underwear in those magazines, and you know the interview is going to run opposite those pictures. So, there's a character that talks to all of them."

Megan said she also isn't the woman described in the anonymous "Transformers" crew letter, which surfaced after she compared director Michael Bay to "Hitler" in an interview, and which suggested she was "thankless, classless, graceless" and an "unfriendly b****."

"I know that the things they said about me in the crew letter were not true, but Bay is not happy with some of the things I've said about him," Megan said. "I was waiting for someone to defend me, to say, 'That's not accurate,' but nobody did. I think it's because I'm a girl. They left me out there to be bludgeoned to death."

Some of the comments that have got Megan headlines and into hot water have actually prompted the actress to consider heading online to sort things out.

"Sometimes I so desperately want to clarify. I recently had an urge to get a Twitter account to explain myself. But me contradicting a news story is not going to make my words fact. It will just create a new news story," she said. "There's no solving this: it's completely its own monster. You have to come up with clever ways of getting your control back."

And the actress is smart enough to know that if she had not made some of the comments she did over the years, that she wouldn't be getting the attention or roles she's getting now.

"If I had been a typical starlet and said all the right things, I wouldn't have escalated to this level," she said. "I sit down and do an interview and I talk like a person and that, for some reason, is shocking. All women in Hollywood are known as sex symbols. You're sold, and it's based on sex. That's O.K., if you know how to use it.

"It's been a crazy year," she continued. "I've learned that being a celebrity is like being a sacrificial lamb. At some point, no matter how high the pedestal that they put you on, they're going to tear you down. And I created a character as an offering for the sacrifice. I'm not willing to give my true self up. It's a testament to my real personality that I would go so far as to make up another personality to give to the world. The reality is, I'm hidden amongst all the insanity. Nobody can find me."

'New Moon' movie : "Pretty-boy vampires?"

The last issue of Vanity Fair is about the 'New Moon' movie, "Pretty-boy vampires?"

Time for a seismic shift in the Twilight heartthrob universe as a different type of sexy beast takes over when New Moon rises in theaters Nov. 20.

The scene that seals the deal arrives about a third of the way through the second gothic romance based on author Stephenie Meyer's cash machine of a supernatural soap opera.

GEOMETRY OF LOVE: Triangles through the years

Distraught teen heroine Bella (Kristen Stewart) has become quite the daredevil ever since bloodsucking beau Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) decided he was no good for her and ran away. Seeking an adrenaline rush, she ends up sprawled on the side of the road and bleeding after crashing her motorbike.

To the rescue is childhood friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), the sweet Native American lad who has bulked up into a buff Adonis ever since his werewolf urges started to kick in.

When he suddenly pulls off his T-shirt to tend to Bella's wounds, beefcake is definitely served.

"Did you know you're sort of beautiful?" she asks while dizzily gazing upon him with fresh eyes.

As Lautner, 17, speaks on the phone, you can practically feel him blushing. "It's kind of awkward for me and a little embarrassing," he says of exposing his new physique, the result of packing on 30 pounds of muscle to continue playing Jacob. "But it was what was required for the character."

Where once there were two, now there are three as a love triangle begins to form between Bella and her potential monster mates. And, despite the horror-flick trappings and inherent dangers, the conflict in the Twilight saga is as classic as anything found in Jane Austen's novels.

Edward is the first love, an obsession fueled by the flames of desire and the torture of heartache when he isn't near. Jacob is the loyal buddy, the guy you're at ease with and who knows you better than anyone, who slowly evolves into something much more.

Choosing teams

It's a fantasy that many find irresistible. "We want to be fought over," says relationship expert Gilda Carle. "It makes us feel more like a prize. And a suitor wants to fight over us, so he feels he has won a prize, something not so easily gotten. In real life, triangles are horrible. But by vicariously enjoying them in books and movies, we can deal with them more appropriately."

And more competitively, too. Ever since New Moon was published in 2006, fans have been declaring themselves members of either Team Edward or Team Jacob.

Attachments have only deepened now that Edward and Jacob have been made flesh on the big screen by attractive actors. "It's been amazing to watch this group of relative unknowns now on the front of magazines on a weekly basis," says TwilightMOMs media director Kirsten Starkweather, 40, of Clovis, Calif. "A lot of people who didn't care for Jacob in the book have changed their opinion of him because of how Taylor plays him. I do think this movie will bring Jacob and Taylor to the forefront."

There are pros and cons on both sides. Edward is an immortal who looks like a brooding male model, will never age even though he's over 100 years old, dresses like a rock-star poet and whose skin sparkles in the sun. Drawbacks: A "vegan" vampire who feeds on the blood of animals, he is no fun in restaurants. And he's icy to the touch.

Jacob is a blue-collar high schooler who will stop aging as he continues to shapeshift, has animal magnetism to spare, is half-naked most of the time since his body temperature is 108.9 degrees and is a gifted mechanic. Drawbacks: He has a nasty temper that causes him to change into a raging wolf the size of a horse. And he isn't Edward.

"New Moon is really a lay-up to the triangle," says Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for all the films based on the book franchise so far, including next summer's Eclipse. "Edward is the ultimate guy in Twilight, and there is a massive following for him. The challenge of New Moon is to set up the third leg of the triangle, with Jacob being strong enough competition for him. That way, Bella's choice in Eclipse is an actual dilemma. But in New Moon, it's the audience who is torn."

Pattinson, 23, the bed-headed Brit who plays Edward, jumped out early in the cover-boy sweepstakes after the first film took a nearly $400 million bite out of the worldwide box office. Jacob, a mere human then, had only a couple of scenes. But Lautner is already catching up, especially after his maybe-girlfriend, country cutie Taylor Swift, blew him a kiss and mouthed his name while hosting Saturday Night Live.

Growing charms

In New Moon, "Edward does make a stupid mistake by leaving Bella, and that allows Jacob in," says director Chris Weitz. "You can understand why Bella starts to develop feelings for him. He's the right man at a frightening time for her, and his devotion is touching. Even die-hard Edward people will understand."

Stewart, 19, certainly enjoyed the change of pace on camera. "Both of them make me feel completely different," she says of her co-stars. "Taylor is an impulsive actor, not Method at all. It's very easy to smile with him. With Rob, we both tend to worry and over-analyze everything."

As for any rivalry between the two male leads, "I think Rob enjoyed teasing Taylor about his exercise regimen," Weitz says. But Pattinson appears more than ready to share the paparazzi-propelled burden of Twilight mania. "Rob would like me to say, 'This is Taylor's film. Rob isn't in it at all.' But subtraction equals multiplication in this case. It will create more hysteria, not less."

Lautner says there is only one team when it comes to making the movies. "We all get along great and we're in this together. Rob did a terrific job of bringing Edward alive. I just hope fans believe I did the same for Jacob."

Even Twilight's creator isn't above playing favorites, however.

While she was bringing Jacob to life on the page, Meyer herself couldn't help but fall for his charms. The character initially existed in the first book as a device to explain the tense relationship between his Quileute tribe and the Cullen clan to Bella, a newcomer to Forks, Wash. He grew into a central character, however, in New Moon, and Meyer even went back and put more of him and his father in Twilight while it was in the editing stage.

As she wrote on her website: "Jacob was my first experience with a character taking over – a minor character developing such roundness and life that I couldn't keep him locked inside a tiny role. ... Even when Jacob only appeared in Chapter 6 of Twilight, he was so alive. I liked him. More than I should for such a small part."

Casting drama

Still, the werewolf has been the underdog from the start, even if Bella would have to make the sacrifice of becoming a vampire herself to stay with Edward.

"I became Team Jacob in early 2007, and back then, it wasn't as easy to find a fellow Jacobian," says Kat Johnson, 39, of Phoenix, who oversees the almost month-old QuileuteWolfPack.com. "When we did find each other, we clung to one another for support, steadfast in the belief that Jacob is a better and healthier choice for Bella. There is a satisfaction that comes from rooting for the character who is up against all odds, for his victory is that much sweeter."

Adding to that feeling is how Lautner was almost dropped from the New Moon cast because Weitz, who took over for Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, didn't think he could fill out Jacob's superhuman dimensions.

"When Taylor was first cast, there were a few who wondered whether he would deliver," Johnson says. But, in the end, "he convinced us he could be the Jacob we grew to love from the book."

So much so that there was outrage when it appeared he might be replaced in New Moon. Instead, Lautner locked himself in the gym and proved his worthiness. "He completely became Jacob in that his discipline and persistence was so like Jacob."

Ultimately, the love triangle is about more than picking a team. It's about the need for a young girl to check out what else is available before she settles down.

"For me, as an adult, it would not be believable if Bella fell in love with one guy and devoted her entire eternity to him by giving up her humanity," says Lori Joffs, 35, from the Nashville area and creator of Twilight Lexicon. "It's better if she has another option and can see what a future with Jacob would be like. That way she would know she couldn't live without Edward."

Screenwriter Rosenberg agrees. "It's not just about which boy do I want. It's a lifestyle choice. With Jacob, you'd have an earthbound life, a normal life in some ways with family and children. Edward represents the ethereal, fantastical life. That makes for a strong triangle. Frankly, just choosing which boy or girl you want is a little shallow.

"For Bella, it's a matter of life or death. Literally."

The party-loving Harry Potter idol, a spliff between his fingers, could barely stop chuckling as the girl daubed his face at the house bash.

Fellow reveller Wadia Tazi, 26, said: Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. But he didnt really look like he knew what was going on.

The screen idol, 20, earlier lit up the joint in front of guests and repeatedly took deep drags. He also walked around the flat blurting out: I love weed.

Wadia said: I was surprised by his behaviour.

Just last year the s30million actor insisted: Ive been around some amazing people and still managed to keep a real childlike view of the world. Im not into drugs.

The get-together, at a high-rise in Camden, North London, was thrown by a friend of his on-off actress girlfriend Laura OToole.

Wadia and one of his pals arrived at around 1am to find just eight guests as festivities wound down. He said Daniel already seemed in high spirits but keen that the newcomers did not twig who he was.

Wadia said: Most of the beer had already gone and people were tucking into pizzas.

Daniel looked spaced out and away with the fairies. He didnt want us to recognise him. When I said he looked like that actor in Lord of the Rings [Elijah Wood], he got a bit funny and said, No, thats not me. He looked pretty uncomfortable.

I didnt recognise him as he looked so different to what I expected from the films. When my friend told me who he was, I was shocked.

Within minutes of arriving at the do, Wadia, his pal and the star were alone in the kitchen and Daniel began puffing on a joint.

Wadia said: He was really friendly and talking about his dad a bit.

Then he pulled out a huge joint and lit up. Daniel said he loved it. He seemed happy that neither of us knew who he was.

At one point a girl dragged him away, saying, Come on Daniel, follow me. You dont trust me, do you?

She pulled him into the toilet and started drawing a huge comedy beard on his face.

The mood almost turned sour when a man called Sam believed to be the stars minder and Laura confronted Wadia over footage they believed he had shot on his phone. They found none.

Wadia said: Laura was very protective. She said Daniel had a reputation to protect and couldnt ruin it. I presume she meant by being seen smoking. I said I didnt know what she was talking about.

But almost immediately afterwards she and Daniel left.

Last year Daniel now filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I revealed that this years Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince contained subtle drug references.

He said: There are a few drug metaphors in the film. I think any film marketed in the main for children still has humour that works on one level for them and on another level for adults.

Jessica Alba, 28-year-old actress, never feel sexy. She's one of Hollywood's hottest moms, but that doesn't mean Jessica Alba thinks so.

"I never feel sexy," the starlet, 28, confessed at last night's party for celeb photographer Mark Liddell's new book, Exposed: 10 years in Hollywood. "I never do, and that's the truth."

Not even during a glam-squad-covered photo shoot?

"I'm always wondering when my next break is," Alba said. "I want to call home and talk to my hubby or talk to my friends or check on my daughter. I'm never thinking I'm sexy."

(As for the sexiness of the provocative scene from her upcoming movie The Killer Inside Me currently making its way around the web, we'll let you be the judge.)

Alba says she has her fingers crossed that Honor, her daughter with husband Cash Warren, will not follow in her show-business footsteps.

"I definitely don't want her to do that," she said. "Anything but that!"

"Star Trek: The Art of the Film" exclusive photos

"Star Trek" director J.J. Abrams reimagined take on "Star Trek" was this summer's "Dark Knight." They're both releases which transcended their geeky followings to deliver universally enjoyable movie-going experiences for one and all. Next week, the theatrical release finally comes home to DVD and Blu-ray for viewers to enjoy, along with all manner of other behind-the-scenes material.

Chief among those is Titan Entertainment's hardcover coffee table book, "Star Trek: The Art of the Film." Featuring a mixture of concept art, behind-the-scenes photos and movie stills, the book gives fans a look into the process of how the classic, decades-old franchise was translated to hold an appeal for modern audiences. After the jump, check out three exclusive design sketches of what eventually became the beast that pursued James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) during his stay on the ice planet Delta Vega. And you'll have a chance to see plenty more when "Star Trek: The Art of the Film" from Titan Books hits stores on November 17.

Abrams asked [Neville] Page to design a Delta Vega creature with red skin, multiple eyes, and a “disgusting mouth,” for which the designer took his cue from the medical condition of “rectal prolapse.” “The inside of the mouth was a whole new level of obscene,” Page sheepishly admitted of the creature affectionately known as “Big Red.” “…But a good creature design has to have some amount of within-our-universe parameters to keep it grounded in a plausible state.”
