The place where God needs your genius is NEVER saturated

Today I will be sharing a single paragraph because thats all you need.

There will never be saturation where he has called you. Your genius is what gives your voice meaning in rooms that you haven’t even dreamt of. Desire to let your genius lead, and do so unapologetically. The place where God needs your genius is NEVER saturated. And in all wins and losses, remember that all Glory, Honor, Praise and Adoration belongs to the one who called you. ❤️

Chase your dreams fiercely and confidently. Remind your children and loved ones about the truth in this unapologetically. Remind them about the greatness that no one can take from them. You can do this by exhibiting confidence in whatever you choose to do.

Children learn what they live.

Up Close & Personal with your GIFT

Even though I have not been sharing as I should, I do write everyday. Every single day, even if its a paragraph. Thats one of the ways I deal with stress. I often write about something to work on personally or thoughts pouring from the holy spirit. Sometimes I write to my husband, other times my siblings get it, somedays I share with close friends. Writing every single day has birthed visions personally and around me.

Today I will like to share about my revelation this morning- Providing favors, Services or False hope! If you are an entrepreneur like me please by all means make sure you take a moment to meditate on the aforementioned.
What are you providing?
Services?
Favors?
Or False hopes?
Do you understand that your gift is YOUR GIFT?
Today I am sharing with entrepreneurs or whoever needs this. This season I declined a lot events (for the sake of our new readers- I am an event planner by profession and own several businesses which I will share more on as time goes by) because they did not represent my brand as I would have preferred. Even though that hurt my bottom line in the physical the Lord comforted me this morning. He reminded me that he has provided me with KNOWLEDGE to provide impeccable services which will not just allow me to cash checks but build nations. I must build in all I do. I have to operate a business that provides services (add on) and not just favors. Bless the Lord oh my soul. If you are an entrepreneur that needs a reminder that you are called and appointed to bring change wherever you set foot here is your reminder. You don’t need to be anyone else but your darn self boo. You don’t need to promise false dreams, you don’t need to trend, you don’t need an in crowd. You have been called to this position. Let the Lord order your steps.

Work on you, your craft, and do not loose sight of your WHY! Your gift will not always be everyone’s cup of tea. As a matter of fact, your gift will make a lot of people uncomfortable. Not everyone is ready to embrace your gifting especially if it gets in the way of them being ordinary. Some people are afraid of your greatness. You might be intimidating or seem overly confident in that which you do. Others may find it as being pompous or call you a show off. The simply truth is that confidence is scary to those who are not there yet. However, that has nothing to do with you. You must remain aware of what you carry. You must be confident in your story and the call over your life. You must not get out of character when faced with adversity. You must be assertive. You should also remain a bridge for anyone who needs help getting over. Don’t strip the bridge off. You can help people without being in active relationships with them. You can also show love without making anyone feel less than.

Your gift, that very rare thing that only you carries will not always be everyone’s cup of tea and that is absolutely ok. You are called to work for the gifter and not the audience.
Keep soaring! Honor your children’s gifts by celebrating their wins and comforting them in their losses.

I will always honor my parents for as long as I live. My parents happen to be the
biggest cheerleaders in my life. My gift is honored in their presence.

We all know how great reading is. Not just for the kids but for everyone. Your kids reading lots of books should not be a luxury. Keep them reading.

So I happen to he raising avid readers. My People read as much as I write. Well let me say that again, 20times more. My 11 year old son goes through a book a day. Trips to the salvation army book section make my kids happy. For $100 on this trip, I got a box of books that can stay in my library. My 11 year old son reads in collections and recently doesn’t want to get books from the library because he re-reads them. Well to cut a long story short replace electronics with books. It works wonders for your kids. They used to also read books on their iPads/tablets but recently we cut that out completely as we are working on less screen time. Give your kids more books. It increases vocabulary, imagination, creativity, helps with math, and keeps them focused. I know we have a ton of free resources and free books so please do well to share in the comment section so we can all benefit from the awesomeness.

Try thrift store book shopping with your kids. You spend quality time, and you are not spending a ton of money. Also, create relationships that allow you to book swap with other kids. The next time you buy a gift for a kids birthday- please buy a book. Give a book.

Your Sanity remains your wealth

Take care of yourselves ladies. if you drop dead, your spouses will marry another woman sooo fast, you won’t believe your eyes as you look from the grave, unable to do anything about it. Take care of your sanity. No human is worth your life. Your children need a sane mother. When you tell yourself you are staying for the kids, they are crying on the inside. Your kids live off of your energy. They know when things are not ok. Don’t loose your minds over relationships that are not sustainable. If you don’t feel safe at home, seek help and run for your life. Same with friendships and even your work spaces. Protect your peace! This will happen with financial freedom. Find a source of income even if you can’t use it in childbearing years. Let it be yours to keep. Same goes for you men. No one should remain in a relationship that rids them of themselves. Domestic abuse is not ok! As a matter of fact, no form of abuse is ok.

As you seek help, please speak life and positivity over yourself. Restoration in Christ is possible.
Say this;
This is my Season of complete RESTORATION. when God restores, it is permanent. There is nothing lost in Christ, count it all Joy. The things that the naked eye cannot see, those things that man can’t comprehend, those are the things I am interested in. May they manifest over me and mines in Jesus name. May miracles be our way of life, may we not excite over the gift and forget the “gifter”/giver. All the desires of my heart must come to pass according to the word of God over my life in Jesus name. As I walk the earth, Christ will be manifested in my life- in word and deed. This is my season of complete restoration. My testimony is upon my lips. May this be my portion and anyone desiring these things around me in Jesus name.

Ecclesiastes 3:14:
I know that everything God does will last forever; there is no adding to it or taking from it. God works so that people will be in awe of him.
1 Peter 5:10:
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Last but not least. When your friends share their demise with you, its not for you to make light of their unfortunate circumstances. A lot of people remain stuck because they have no one to talk to or they have shared and some of us have verbal diarrhea. I pray we can address abuse in our immediate communities without passing judgement of the victims.
The victim is VICTIM! Be a great friend or shut up.

Together we can be fully restored.

Gratitude...

I know its been ages. I have no excuses. Please hang in there with me as I do my best to share what I owe all of you wonderful people who have stuck with me all these years. For some reason the conversations were moved to my Facebook page because we were able to get a better thread going. However, I trust that we can do the same here. Now lets talk about gratitude or the lack there of.

Teach your children gratitude by demonstrating behavior that screams GRATITUDE.
It won’t happen by chance. We must raise a generation that is not swimming in entitlement. It starts by not spoiling your children as overcompensation for being too busy. Gratitude at all times is MUST.
Apart from saying the regular THANK YOU in my house I insist on actionable gratitude and more from the heart. (Well they may not really have a choice all the time, but here with some of the things we do). In my home, GRATITUDE IS NON NEGOTIABLE! Especially to GOD.

1. We send thank you Videos(we basically make videos for almost everything. Videos need time and effort so that its not done just to fulfill being “done”.
2. We write down our appreciation.Thank you notes etc.
3. If you are not treating something of value with care I confiscate it.
4. If you display entitled behavior, we each share in a conversation why that is wrong behavior, plus consequences.
5. We as parents DISPLAY GRATITUDE towards each other.
6. I make sure my children listen in as I offer thank you’s and appreciation each time I can get them around.
7. I take my children to age and environment appropriate FAMILY functions so that they are not being raised on an island and display spoilt rotten behavior. They must interact and tolerate other children/humans. (Remember Family is what you make it. Don’t tell me you don’t have any family around).
8. And more... I will chime in the comments as we discuss.. Are you demonstrating GRATITUDE? No one owes you anything.

I know its been ages. We didn’t have another baby I promise. Hahaha

This mothers day, let's choose to love on purpose.

Love and respect women enough to not suggest they have children at a certain age. Leave their wombs alone.

Mothers, Love ALL your children equally, regardless of what you term success.

Mothers, respect, honor, and forgive your own mother's.We are all a work in progress.

Mothers, love and appreciate those who sacrifice their time and resources to be part of your village.

This mothers day, Love each other on purpose. Love a woman today, regardless of their WOMB choice.

Show compassion to those dealing with infertility.

Show compassion and love to those who are expectant of the miracle of conception, adoption and or surrogacy.

Last but not least, say a prayer for those who cannot send their mothers and loved ones mothers day wishes. Also say a prayer for those who have had to bury their children and or endure miscarriages. May they be comforted in the Lord.

This mothers day, choose to love on purpose. Love yourself on purpose.When you love you, loving everyone else comes easier.
There is power in love.

Children LIVE what they LEARN

The busiest time in my household is “Get ready time” especially for school or impromptu outings. As a mother of four children, I am constantly looking for ways to make life easier. I have one in middle school, two in elementary school and a preschooler. I absolutely need a plan that works efficiently. My oldest has recently started Basketball and Volleyball. I run several business, and an unending lists of responsibilities. Do you need to hear more? Being extremely organized keeps us all sane. Remember that the plan and schedule must be realistic, and it must work for both you and the kids. Do not place unrealistic expectations on yourself and the kids or those that are part of your village. Create a schedule that is direct and easy to follow. Another important point is to make sure you are not over consumed by being a perfect parent that you miss the part of parenting that involves children making mistakes and you both working at getting better daily on your executive functions skills. Talk to your children and village. Do well to let them understand that the purpose of better executive function strategies are to make life easier for everyone.

Tips you can use right now:

DE-CLUTTER. Get rid of clutter TODAY!
Shop with school clothes in mind.
Buy a set of khaki bottoms and polo shirts.
Keep socks in the same color range to ease the pain of looking for pairs.
Discuss and agree on school clothes/church clothes/play clothes and use separate storage bins.

SAMPLE WEEKDAY CLOTHES (DO NOT DISCARD EMPTY BAGS)

Immediately after laundry, place a top, bottom, underwear, inner shirt and matching socks for the day in a plastic bag. Or uniforms, pack as desired. (20 bags total for the month). Store in a plastic bin.
Pre-match all outing clothes and hang them up ready to go. (Preferably out of sight)

Have each child pick their favorite color. Shop for each child based on their color of choice (toothbrushes, towels, washcloths, toilet bags, indoor slippers, etc.). With this color system you can quickly tell whose plate is in the sink or whose towel is on the floor for accountability. This also encourages the children to take ownership of their belongings and it gives them a sense of pride.

Here with a sample schedule created by my sister Fri-Maikah and I. Fri is an essential part of my village not just because she is an educator by profession, but also because she is the support system I can trust and rely on at any time. You cannot raise children without a village. Schedules will only work when trust and love exist amongst the villagers and the child. I had shared a sample schedule on my Facebook timeline and blog ages ago that got a lot of feedback from parents and caregivers so I thought I will share again as it has been updated. You must create effective schedules and routines that help your children create positive habits. Do not wing it. Children live what they learn. Talk the schedule out with them for input. Do not schedule chores based on gender, let all children participate. You can change chores around monthly or weekly. Do not make the mistake of teaching your children that chores need to be rewarded. Taking care of their space, and keeping the house clean is a responsibility and needs no rewards. let them understand that there is dignity in hard work. Most importantly give yourself that 20 minutes to talk with them after school. And last but not least, limit electronics and screen time. Replace electronics during school days with books. If you are in need of an activity that gives you an opportunity to all participate try BRAIN GAMES (on national geographic channel or YouTube-THIS IS NOT AN AD). Our children introduced us to this show/activity, It is family friendly and it gives you the opportunity to slide in positive re-enforcement. It is our responsibility as parents to provide a chaos free environment for our children. Ditch the excuses! 40 But everything must be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40

It has been ages and I have missed you all real bad. Lets start by welcoming our first time readers. This is the NOMAMIPIKINLEFTBEHIND blog ( "No mother will be left back" A Brand known for its sophistication and apt to inspire, empower, promote and equip the modern day woman/mother with the necessary tools to savor life in all its splendor). Welcome to the most authentic blog/conversation you will ever get online. We started writing for mothers and grew an incredible audience of ambassadors worldwide that has allowed us to speak to everyone. My name is Eurykah. Some 6 years ago, this blog was born from a place of love, authenticity, imperfection and transparency. I am the torchbearer and microphone for every woman who needs a sister, a voice, a hug, and a dance partner. I am a mother of 4 and Godmother to many. Married the Love of my life and we are currently raising 4 extremely diverse children in Germantown, MD. I am an event planner/space designer by day and by night... ooops my mom and dad read this blog 👀. I might want to keep everything PG😄. Anyhow, enough about me. Oh! my siblings read too. I have a host of siblings who are super supportive and will let me get it if I don't mention them in this reintroduction 👀. last but certainly not least, I have the most amazing sister-friends who keep me on my feet. Some of them are the very reason you can read another blog post from me today.

I have soooooo much to say, I cant figure out where to start. When I am happy I write for most of us, if I am sad, I write for me definitely. Today I am elated, so this is definitely for US! Before it gets a little too serious this week, I will like to talk about the possibility of betting on yourself. Yes! BETTING ON YOU!

As a little girl all I ever wanted to do was get people together and make sure they were taken care of. Yes, at a young age my purpose was loud, strong and very present. At 10 years old, I will write down pages of event plans (what I now understand to be event day timelines) on how events should run. My mother took me to a ton of weddings and half of the time, I was restructuring the room in my head or making sure I volunteered to help as much as possible. If you seat with me in any space our conversation must leave you uplifted. My eyes search around every room I am in and my heart is always drawn to a woman in need of a hug and sometimes a prayer. I cannot help it. I am also a mother at heart. I am pro-family and will give anything to take care of me and mines. I say all this to tell you that; who you are is inborn. Nothing you are is out of place. The person you choose to be is up to you. How you execute your inborn gifts is up to you. You are in charge of your sanity. You must be intentional about living in your purpose. Your ability to bet on yourself is not controlled by your financial capabilities. You should bet on you because what is written concerning you must come to pass.You should bet on you because, you refuse to accept mans mediocre idea of who you should be. This is especially true for women and mothers. Bet on you and stop complaining about your children limiting your ability to soar. Your children are a plus to your ambitions and not a minus. As a mother and manager of a consistently busy home, my number one chore is keeping order in my home. You must be able to maintain, establish, and restore order in your life. You should be in charge of you. You are your biggest and most important project. You are allowed to reset, refocus, redo and most especially evolve.

Your PURPOSE/GIFT is an active part of your daily life. Understand what it is that makes you unique. Understand who people meet when they are around your greatness. Refrain from getting in and out of character. People should meet the same person each time they are around you. You don’t “act” out your purpose (unless it is indeed "acting"). The things that manifest in the physical are a direct reflection of what has been deposited in you from conception and in your walk with Christ. Do not be afraid to walk in BOLDNESS. Your GIFT is given TO MAKE ROOM FOR YOU. Your gift saves you first. It shouldn’t get in the way or need a “costumier”. We have power over what we already possess. Whats in your store house is valuable. Shop from within. Let no mans gift be more appealing to you than yours is. What is within us or in our possession is ours. It does not matter if it looks or feels different over time, it is still yours and you have authority over it. Use your authority accordingly.

All good and perfect gifts come from GOD. All that was given to you by GOD is good and PERFECT. Let #Nomamipikinbeleftbehind in this season of being authentic. Let #Nomamipikinbeleftbehind in this season of placing a high bet on themselves! Remember, Its your own personal BET ON YOU! Be encouraged and bet on you.

It has been about 9 months since I shared on this platform. I missed you all dearly. I have been writing, but not sharing on here as I am onto my third book. Anyhow that is a story for another post. Before we continue, can I just take a moment to applaud those who send me messages daily asking when the blog will be back up. Round of applause to you all. Thank you for keeping me in check.

Every woman is an engineer! Yes of course. What is the definition of an engineer? An engineer is a skillful contriver or an originator of something. They are capable of modifying and building a structure. I bet you did not know that every woman is an engineer! You are an engineer in your homes and in your life. You are constantly building a structure and making sure that the structure meets the need of all users always. You come up with ways to do things easier, faster, and more efficiently. We are constantly working on a project as women. It could be relationships, careers, businesses, personal development, child development, etc. As engineers we need to constantly make sure the system we have in place works. You need to stop everything and evaluate periodically to see if the system you have in place is working for you. Is the system working to your advantage? Is it meeting your needs? This helps you update and redesign the system to keep it fully functional. When systems malfunction we go into depression, anxiety and a lot more. Your goal in life is to make sure that as an engineer you do not shut down or ruin the engine. Sometimes a simple reboot will save the system from completely malfunctioning. Reboots for me are retreats, women empowerment conferences, vacations, well planned breaks and elimination of self-sabotage. These are necessary tune ups and oil changes for my system. You cannot be an engineer who is working with an old module or who fails to inspect the engine and attend to parts of the engine which require tuning or apply a patch where necessary. As an engineer you must figure out what your GIFT/BRAND/DNA is so that the entire system is not flawed.
Your system longs for you the engineer to make sure it’s meeting every need. As an engineer your job is to keep building, molding and modifying your systems.Some jobs are a bridge to your purpose, while others are your purpose. When the Creator puts you in a certain position, sometimes it’s just a bridge and we decide to live on it. No one should live on a bridge. Bridges are created to help you get to the other side. No matter how fancy it is you can’t move in and live on it.

Happy New year Mamipikins!
I definitely owe you all an apology for being MIA. After writing and publishing my first book; Mamipikin Talks/ A Safe Space To Be You, I have been on the go nonstop. Its been one event to the other and then we are in 2018. This is a great time to be alive. A time where you have the ability to think and make decisions for yourself. Don't take this time for granted.

I wanted to start the year off by opening up a discussion on sanity. There is a trend in our community asking women to meet certain needs or risk losing spouses, boyfriends, housemates, partners (whatever your situation is) and this has kept me up for a while so I thought I will share on here so we start this year strong.

Just so you know I am a christian married mother of four so please don't come at me with bible verses of submission because this conversation is certainly not about submission. I am all for submission according to the bible by women to their husbands. And because I know we have male readers, men please do well to love your spouse's, for the bible says so as well. OK, back to the topic at hand. Today’s society is asking that we do hoops, back flips, splits and a lot more so that our spouses are not promiscuous. We go as far as blaming women for not being able to stay on task with the demands at all times as the reason for promiscuity. No one mentions the most important aspect in a relationship which is sanity and inner peace. You want to be very sane. Don't lose your sanity over any relationship. You want to do all these lovely things cook, clean, be a lady in the streets and a freak in the bed, wear matching lingerie, travel the world all of it but at the end of the day make sure YOU are present and not just doing this to keep up with today's idea of a relationship. When you have lost your mind you are no good to your family, your relationship, your career, and most importantly yourself. You want to fall in love not fall for love. If anything drives you insane it's not worth it. You don't understand how bad it is until you are completely wiped out. Then you result to hate, jealousy, gossip, depression and worst cases suicide. Yes people die for Love and relationships. It's a fact.
You want to enjoy your relationship, first of all love yourself and your mind. Be in love with you. Be sooo in love with yourself that you can remain PRESENT in the relationship and your spouse cannot help but fall in love with you over and over again. Make sure you don't give up your dreams for love. You need to keep your mind sane by doing the things you love. These things should be the things that complete you as a person.

Yes, mind blowing sex, great food, vacations, and all these are great then what? Can you have sex forever? How much food can you eat? Both men and women need peace and sanity at home and in their lives. You want Christ to give you inner peace that keeps you sane. You want to be a sane human. No man wants an insane woman and vice versa. At the end of the day you need YOU.

At the end of the day a relationship should complete you because you are bringing your best to the table and so are they. If you constantly feel depleted in your relationships you need to reevaluate and go back to the drawing board. Of course no relationship is perfect. No one should expect complete fulfillment from anyone else unless our Lord Jesus Christ. You wont meet any saints on earth, so as the year begins look around you. Are your relationships, friendships, partnerships etc. time wasters or are do they contribute to your greater purpose or are you loosing your mind daily.
And just so you know relationship is defined as the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected. So Please check your relationships!

Be selfish and Love you first.
Be selfish and create a workable schedule that adds you to the list.
Be selfish and buy yourself that gift that you are expecting from a relationship or spouse.
Be selfish and have a hobby that keeps you sane.
Be selfish and have your own list, haha. Bring your own list of demands on the table.
Be selfish and start this year with the intention of keeping your sanity!
Be selfish and read a self help book.
Be selfish and insist on being a woman that has inner peace.
Be selfish and insist on being the sane one in all your relationships.

You need to be present to chase your wildest dreams. You need to be present in order to Love anyone else. You need to be present to be a great mother, wife, aunt, neighbor and human.
Don't lose your mind in 2018.

The degree inside of YOU.

Oh how I have missed you all. Please forgive me. Its been one of the busiest summers for me in many years. I know that's a lame excuse, and will try to do better. I have been writing though, because I write to stay sane. I write my thoughts, my frustrations, my joy, and a lot more. I have been writing to my self.

So as I resume to sharing, I will like to talk about something that has been on my mind. "The DEGREE inside of you". I know my scholars and very highly educated and over achiever Mamipikins are like "Yes!!!" hahahaha. I am sorry to tell you that this degree does not come from a formal class room. This degree comes from inside of YOU!

I usually share with everyone I meet that I never finished college as its not in line with what I am called to do in this season of my life. Now don't screen shot this and tell the world that I am encouraging women to drop out of school. Please screen shot this as a reminder that there is no formal classroom that can teach you about walking in your purpose. You have an inborn degree or several, in some cases that only need your activation. This activation rarely comes from a college campus. All I am saying is that in order to succeed you MUST ACTIVATE the DEGREE inside of YOU! Activation starts with believing in yourself enough that you don't have space in your head and heart for low self esteem, doubt, malice, hate, gossip, and the need for outside validation.

You don't need any formal training to walk in the gift that the Lord blessed you with. It comes naturally. You only need activation. Its like having a cell phone, unless you activate it it's just a phone. The only activating agent is ACTION. What are you doing with whats inside of you? A lot of our poor decisions are based on the simple fact that we don't trust our inborn degrees. Or we let them go dormant. Our children make the same mistakes because we don't tell them how dynamic they are. We raise our children with the same pressures we were raised with. At a young age our children are already in constant fear of what people will think about them. Some of us have taken on the role of satisfying the outside by all means possible. We are in a time where walking your purpose is deemed a taboo and being a side chick, or home wrecker is glorified because society says so. A time where choosing to be steadfast in your purpose is considered a taboo trend, but its OK to forward child pornography and more. A time where siblings are taught hate by parents based on the parents reaction to their children's "success". All this because the latter seems acceptable to society and we have been conditioned to think that what society thinks about us is more important than what we think about our selves. Are we really happy with what society deems important? what does it do to our moral compass? Is what society expects out of you a reflection of your internal degree or gifting?

Your gift is enough. Your God given ability to function and bring change is enough. Nobody should tell you that success only comes with a lengthy blueprint and hosts of institutional degrees. Your blueprint and GPS is in Christ and he lives within you. Your in born gift will always bring about the completion you need to function properly. The activation and honoring of this gift will change your life for the best. Take a chance and follow that which is inside of you. Life is your only classroom.

So its 3:00am and I cannot possible explain the weekend I had. However one thing sent me to this blog at this hour. Sometime ago I got invited by His Royal Majesty Fon Nganjo of Njirong village. Well if you have been following the blog you will gather that I was born in Cameroon and I absolutely respect and adore my culture. When I got this invitation I was a nervous wreck and had a million questions on what the Fon needed to discuss with my husband and I. If you are not familiar with our culture as Cameroonians you might not get the big deal. Our Fons are revered. They are our traditional rulers. You don't walk into the palace and visit the Fon. You request his audience in so many steps through his council. What could I have done to be summoned to meet with the traditional leaders of our Land in the USA? The question kept me up and wondering. My mother who can usually whip up answers for my many concerns was not too sure either. All she advised was to make sure we came in with our heads covered up as we could not be in audience with the Fon with our heads not covered up, meaning I needed scarf or head tie and my husband needed a hat.

Sunday finally came and I had to face the reality of being summoned by a great ruler of my people. We arrived to the Palace and we were welcomed by HRM Fon Nganjo's wife who is "Ma Wintoh" (mother/wife of the palace). She had a feast laid out. We ate and sat down, waiting to be called in.

Dressed in our Sundays best. Toghu (Atoghu print specially hand made in Cameroon for events of this magnitude)

The Hour finally came and I was called in. After a couple of welcomes and more, the women in the room took me into a separate room with a new set of clothes set up and ready for me to change into. How did they get my size is all I could think of. I mean everything was my exact size. (Wondering how I got photos? Well everyone around me knows I document everything. And my sister Anyi who is Godmother to my number 3 is behind this phone camera in oohhhs and ahhhhs capturing all of this. I am truly grateful that we had a conversation about this and she showed up to support me.)

And this is how my weekend ended. I am completely overwhelmed. You have no idea how much of an out of body experience this was to me. I love to serve and contrary to what most people who don't know me on a personal level think, I absolutely hate being the center of attention.

If you look at the photos and videos I am completely overwhelmed. I never saw this coming, I have always served with love and with my whole heart. I am very thankful to the people of Njirong and the world at large for even considering that I serve in any capacity. My everyday dream is to be of service to the world especially its women. My everyday desire is to encourage,empower and support the women in my community and beyond My goal is to ensure that every woman I get a chance to meet personally or through my writing is impacted positively and encouraged to walk in their purpose. As a mother of four incredibly diverse children,several Godchildren and a huge external family I speak from a point of experience, empathy, failure, success, love and determination. My goal is to promote a culture where women feel limitless while striving to become the best version of themselves. Thank you to the people of Njirong, you all absolutely blew my mind. May God give me the grace, wisdom, love, kindness, and dedication I need to serve you all.

Loving EQUALLY

Hello there fam! Yesterday I was going to share this post however, I am in recovery from a beautiful busy weekend. I got to enjoy brunch with a room full of royalty on Sunday in honor of mothers day.

The entire graduation and mothers day month I get to interact with family, friends, clients, ask questions, get emails, and more. Its been on my mind for years to share about the importance of loving all your children EQUALLY. And the importance of loving your family members equally or at least working at it.

On mothers day, I spend a lot of time reading, observing, and asking questions because its in my nature to observe my surroundings. I listen to women make what i choose to call absurd judgments on each other. I even read somewhere on social media that as a mother if you didn't get a gift and bought your own gift, you are pathetic. Really boo? Are you serious right now? Pathetic for loving my self? Some women even go as far as talking down their friends and sisters who are not mothers yet with some story of an age range and more. Anyhow in all this I have come to find the month of May to be very interesting. Did I mention that some people are actually unable to call their mothers on "mothers day" because mommy is in heaven? And the whole mothers day charade just overwhelms them? Yep! And then we have the beautiful graduation celebrations. And thanks to social media we get to celebrate with each other in a way that we have not been able to for many years. People from far and near can watch you live, you can tweet, snap chat, all of that. Yes May is an emotionally charged month.

Some of us don't understand that our children should be loved equally and celebrated as often as we can. (Celebration does not translate to a sometimes unnecessary party). Love all your children equally. And loving your child means being able to discipline them when its called for. Not enabling bad behavior as compensation for your bad parenting. Not enabling an addiction, laziness, and mediocrity because its easier. Don't love them according to your idea of achievement and or success! Celebrate the little things so that they will aim for greater. Your children are waiting to hear you applaud their achievements without any judgments. You are not allowed to love your physician child more than the musician. It is not OK. You are not allowed to celebrate those with grand kids more than those who don't have any kids. And it gets deeper. You love the married kids more than the single parent. We cannot continue to live in a community where parents choose to discriminate amongst their kids, and in so doing bringing division amongst their children. Who said that it was OK to love your children only when you feel like they are "successful" and I insist that success is relative. Its your responsibility to love your children equally. You openly celebrate the children that are "publicly successful". And yes public success is a topic for another day.

In this month of May, lets choose to love on purpose. Love and respect women enough to not suggest that they must have children at a certain age. Leave their wombs alone. Love all your children equally. Love yourself enough to not let these obvious prejudices hold you back from living life like its golden. Love all your siblings equally regardless of their financial statements.
Love each other on purpose.

And its mothers day. Happy mothers day to the most consistent cape less superheroes. Society better not get too excited about giving us one calendar holiday. We would take it, however if you have been around a mother, are a mother, or know a mother you will agree that there is not a single holiday that is more important than a holiday that celebrates mothers.

  This mothers day I want you to take an oath of "self Love".
I want you to love yourself as much as you love the responsibilities that come with the crown of motherhood. Love yourself enough to take care of "YOU" mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and psychologically. Put you first. Get out of the habit of expecting anyone else to. Do not give anyone else the power of your sanity.

This mothers day I want you to take an oath of "Commitment to yourself". Your relationship with yourself is the most important one you’ve got. Make a commitment to take care of yourself, as you would you do everyone else. This mothers day my prayer is that you have a conversation with your self. That we will use the same radar we use to evaluate others on ourselves. This mothers day take your investigations on the inside. Are you living happily? Are there things you can do differently in order to improve your quality of life? Your quality of life matters!

    This mothers day don't wait for anyone else to buy you flowers. If you love flowers buy yourself some flowers. If you enjoy movies, take your self to the movies and so on and so forth. Take back your power this mothers day. Commit to giving your self those things that you absolutely desire. Give yourself your time, your energy, and most especially your love. Your children and society needs a mother that loves herself so much there is no room for self sabotage.

  What you commit to today creates your future. The words you speak, the thoughts you think, the people you commit to. Choose wisely. Let today be a new day. Take an oath to Love you unconditionally.

Lets talk "Commitment"

COMMITMENT!
When we talk commitment everyone immediately thinks "relationships". Little do we know that commitment is a core value in our everyday dealings.

As women, we pride ourselves on taking care of others. We commit ourselves to our partners, our children, our families, our best friends, our colleagues, our extended families, our church, our prayer groups, our community, our businesses, and a whole lot more. We are professionals at making sure everyone and everything around us SEEMS perfect. This got me thinking. What’s the difference between interest and commitment? Interest is reactive and Commitment is proactive. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstances permit. When you are committed to something, you accept zero excuses, only results. For example "Interest reads about Mamipikintalks and agrees with it, commitment registers to attend and follows up even after the event."( hahaha you know I had to use mamipikintalks.) "Interest works an hour a day on your business; commitment works whenever time permits".

So lets talk relationship commitment and get it out of the way. I know everyone would like to discuss commitment or the lack there of. Commitment is a very essential part of our relationships. Without commitment there will be chaos. A relationship can be deemed nonexistent without commitment. You must both commit for any relationship to be functional. Commitment in your relationships are your responsibility. YOU are responsible for your behavior in every relationship. In our community today some people think that they should be committed to everything and everyone except their relationships. Don't get into a relationship if you are not ready to be proactive. Commitment is proactive. And don't make the mistake of blaming yourself for the lack of commitment from your partners,spouses,friends and more. YOU are only responsible for YOUR behavior and commitment.

There is such a thing as “Commitment ABUSE”
Sometimes we are committed to keeping everyone else's dream except ours. We are in relationships, friendships, jobs, careers, bands, etc and we commit to making sure everyone associated is happy except US. We commit to being abused mentally, emotionally, physically and verbally. We get sooo committed that abuse becomes the norm. Once you are committed to anything that does not bring you fulfillment, or adds value and meaning to your life, you are wasting valuable time and hurting your LEGACY. And I don't mean the pain you experience in a gym, or during labor, I mean the pain of abuse. The pain that strips you of joy, love, happiness, a sound mind, etc.“Commitment abuse” happens to the best of us. We commit to a lot of things and our commitment is taken advantage of. Your skill, time, craft, and even LOVE can be abused. You do not need to commit to the very things that strip you of your SANITY!

Commitment to yourself!
Your relationship with yourself is the most important one you’ve got.
Being present in your life is everything, being present is essential. So we often want others to commit to us but we cannot commit to OURSELVES? How do we expect anyone to commit to someone that is not there? We cannot carry any task to the end. We are side liners in our own lives. We look at our lives on the sideline. We refuse to commit to anything that brings us growth. Make a commitment to take care of yourself, as you would you do everyone else. By immersing yourself in the little things that bring you JOY. Keeping your word is critical to restoring your sanity and creating a meaning driven life. Yes, "keeping your word to yourself" honoring what you commit to and keeping your own promises. Ask yourself the very important questions you ask everyone else. Questions like; How can I care for myself today? Am I experiencing commitment abuse? Do I need a vacation, interaction, exercise, comforting? Am I following my purpose? Remember that what you commit to today, the thoughts you think, the people you commit to, the books you read, shows you watch, your friendships, all these shape your future.

I have always wondered why we had to wait for a beauty pageant to crown women Queens. As we were planning and putting together details for MamipikintalksIII, the lord laid it in my heart to crown one of our beautiful attendees Queen. And this time she didn't need a beauty contest, judges, pressure on physical appearance, or any special talents. We started the tradition and the dream is to empower, uplift, encourage, and inspire women to believe in themselves enough to follow their dreams. It was a fair process and after a draw Ms. Diane Daiga was named Queen. It was a beautiful moment.
She was named "Miss Mamipikintalks".

A woman who loves herself has freed her mind from the burden of hoping, wanting and even needing anyone else to accept all of her.

Thankful for my reality

As a mother of 4 by birth, wife, sister, event planner (I had some folk assuming that i was no longer running my business as an event planner/Designer anymore, I am definitely still CEO of AEPDS) putting together any event can be challenging considering the fact that you cannot decide to ditch your job as a parent or leave your job as planner and your responsibilities as wife at some point to focus on the details that are needed to put together a pressure filled event. Yes pressure!!! Tons of it. You don't know if anyone will show up, you don't know if it will snow, you constantly have to remind your team not to force anyone to register, you are almost having to explain to everyone you meet your "WHY" because we are writing a brand new blueprint, you are paying for everything upfront way before the event.
Yes even with all this, I have a mandate. My dream is to provide every community in the USA and beyond a safe space to have life changing conversations. A space where women and mothers can share and address their closet issues in a judgement free zone.
Thank you to every woman who has taken a moment to read my blog, read my posts, defended this movement, prayed for us, watched the live videos, hired me as a planner or decorator and recently registered and attended our Mamipikintalks events. Good morning.
I had this as my status on Facebook. Then I remembered the importance of sharing so it reaches everyone.

We live in a community or society where no one wants you to walk in your truth because it brings light to their flaws. Your truth is YOUR truth. Our society/community wants you to die in silence and misery and they term it "privacy". There is a huge difference between privacy and walking in your truth. If its a little out of the norm, our community immediately shuns it. If it doesn't have a blueprint, several degrees and a doctorate our community questions it. If it involves some level of faith, our community questions it. Privacy is what happens to you that doesn't concern anyone else. Its SACRED. When you go through life and choose to share your journey so that someone else doesn't suffer your pain, you are walking in your truth. I am never intimidated or worried about people who can't accept my truth and neither should you. Don't worry about people who cant live with their truth. What you conceal for fear of being accepted will kill you faster than the people who gossip for a season and move on to the next gossip topic.

Ladies and gentlemen, we do not live in this world forever. You are here for a quick second and then you are gone. We play a good game about how great our lives are going on social media and once the lights go out we sleep but don't rest. How long will you continue to live in fear? What is so powerful in living in someone else's truth rather than yours? You are different and so what? You are not mainstream and so what?

Today is a little emotional for me. On January 21st, 2015 I had my fourth baby. He turns 2 today. He is my second boy and the love of my life. He is my Grandpa, Brother In-law and my son. He is the best decision. He loves his dad like mad. He also loves his sister Leilen who is my niece and his twin. He is a firecracker, a very intelligent and anointed 2 year old. Today I will love to share a little personal story.

When I was pregnant with Abo, I was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios. (polyhydramnion, hydramnios, polyhydramnios) A a medical condition describing an excess of amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac: Read more:http://www.healthofchildren.com/knowledge/Polyhydramnios.html#ixzz4WPRxMVV8. This was very scary for me because of all the"presumed" side effects.
I also constantly felt like I was literally in labor from about 4 months in pregnancy. I was in a lot of pain and pressure and completely exhausted all the time. This was a very tough challenge for me because I had gone through most of my previous pregnancies seamlessly. And there is a myth that basically tells you that the more kids you have the easier the pregnancy... NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At one particular doctors visit something very interesting happened. I was seeing a specialist and my OBGYN Concurrently. At a particular visit, one of the specialists in a beautiful Ghanaian accent looked at me and said "I will like to know how you are at your fourth pregnancy with a history of PCOS" (Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a health problem that affects one in 10 women of childbearing age.Women with PCOS have a hormonal imbalance and metabolism problems that may affect their overall health and appearance. PCOS is also a common and treatable cause of infertility). I was a little confused because I had totally forgotten about a very old diagnosis of PCOS from about 9 years before. We talked about the fact that my husband and I are absolutely blessed by the Lord and that I never thought about it from the day we left some doctors office in Baltimore 9 years before. I also shared that I didn't depend on "google doctors" diagnosis and symptoms at that time and that's what probably carried me through. Today the "google doctors" will have you dead and buried with their analysis of your health symptoms.

I am meeting more and more women who are are dealing with PCOS and its many side effects. PCOS is a very common diagnosis. I want to encourage you to believe the report of the Lord over your life. The Lords report will always manifest. The Doctors must do their job but your diagnosis is in the hands of the Lord. And he took all diagnosis with him to the cross on Calvary. In the same light we must be sensitive to one another. You can't assume that everyone must deal with the crisis in their lives the same way you do. Take it easy on each other. Don't be quick to judge. Ultimately its a personal decision on how to handle the sometimes very difficult diagnosis. Your only job is to support, Love, and be a shoulder to lean on. You are welcome to share medical knowledge but do not get carried away. I have seen first hand the miracle of conception by Gods grace and favor.

Anyhow with that said, I had a very hectic pregnancy with Abo. It was the pregnancy of all pregnancies. My family will tell you. I was in no mood for any sort of games, jokes and more. I was pregnant along with my youngest sister and my sister in-law. We had to support each other but most especially they supported me a whole lot because my hormones were a horrible. This pregnancy taught me resilience, patience, and gave me the opportunity to trust GOD SOLELY. There is a blessing in every storm, you cant see it as you go through the storm but i can almost guarantee that as soon as it calms down you certainly will. I learned to take off the cape and let God be in control totally.

As I write this post a lot of words come to mind and the most common word is privacy. And because I am a mind reader (hahaha I have always wanted to say that) and know some folk who can't handle real life testimonials. If you have been following this blog for a while you will understand that I am absolutely pro privacy. However there is privacy and there are secrets. I will always share especially if its going to bless another woman. I share my personal journey of motherhood, entrepreneurial life as a mother, and anything in between as long as it gives room for conversation, healing, empowerment and addresses issues that are plaguing women in the world and most especially in my community. With that said, a lot of people assume that keeping secrets is the same as privacy. You can choose to live a life full of secrets and I will choose to keep my privacy. I am not going to let our society dictate what should be discussed, shared, and brought to the light and so should you. A lot of your secrets are killing you slowly because you have chosen to die with these "experiences" that complete your story. So we tell half truths and cannot save even our own selves from the many things that haunt us.
Tell your true story today, you might save another woman. And the woman might be YOU. And if you choose not to, remember that every now and then you depend on someone else's journey to relate to. What is your story? How did you get here? What are you dealing with? How can your story/testimony make a difference?

Today Abo is 2 years old. Whose report will you believe? I am thankful to God for blessing us with Abo. I am thankful to my family for being a wonderful team. I thank Abos grandma "Aunty B" who is the most important part of my in home system. 2 years ago, I walked into the hospital a solid 220 pounds or so and today we have a healthy 2 year old.

Miscarriage ..........

Its 5 am and I have been up all night because my 8 year old has a stomach bug. That's a story for another post.
Anyhow that brings me to a sequel of sorts on child bearing and more... http://nomamipikinleftbehind.blogspot.com/2015/04/whos-counting.html?m=1 (Read here).
Yesterday I shared on my personal Facebook page ( for those who follow me) that I had gone through 5 pregnancies and had 4 live births. And a lot of things or emotions came up because it took me back to my miscarriage. I had a miscarriage some 5/6 years ago. I remember how devastated I was and very heart broken. I also recount how everyone ( well mostly the adult women around me) insisted that I keep the miscarriage a secret. I remember hearing them say things like "oh don't worry, it was not a real baby yet". And a whole lot more that I would rather forget. In all the harassment, I was blessed with a solid set of sisters/friends thankfully, who supported me and stayed on me with so much love to make sure I went through the loss with their support.

A miscarriage is very devastating. It feels like a part you leaves when the baby doesn't make it to term.You go through so many emotions. Its that pain that only God can truly heal. A lot of women go through miscarriages and cannot heal completely because our culture doesn't promote expressing your pain in regards to a miscarriage. You have women who are going through a whole lot of pain, struggling to conceive and cannot share on the struggle of their journey because our society harasses women about their wombs, its contents and use. You are not given the opportunity to share about the pain of a miscarriage and therefore complete restoration and healing never really takes place. For Gods sake a miscarriage is not a taboo. A miscarriage is a painful loss of a child. You can refuse to call it that, but to that mother that's exactly what it is.

Your job as a sister, mother, friend, spouse, etc is to be a shoulder to lean on. Encourage the woman in need to seek professional help if necessary because sometimes the trauma requires more than a couple of conversations with your best friends. And if you go through a miscarriage please do not live in fear, and do not loose hope. Our God is gracious and would never forsake you. Take the time to heal and do not do it on anyone else's timing. If you can, seek help from miscarriage help groups. You are welcome to share as you please. You are not alone and should NOT DIE IN SILENCE.

To you who has gone through a miscarriage or several miscarriages. I stand on behalf of all the people who have hurt you, disappointed you, questioned your WOMB, and judged you by your circumstances. I stand to say SORRY. I apologize for the hurt, I also apologize and hope that you can forgive not only those who did not support you during this difficult time, but you can forgive yourself and live again with hope that the Lord has not forgotten you.

A lot of women make the conscious choice not to have any children and it should be respected. I also ask we practice to stay out of each others wombs. You don't question my choices on child bearing and I promise not to question your decision not to bear children. You don't question any one's timing on when to bear children and you don't play WOMB police.

Cheers to a beautiful holiday. Love a woman today, regardless of their WOMB choice.

Every now and then we need a break from everything. Pack up your bags and take a little get away from your children, work and everything that keeps you on a schedule. Taking a break is mandatory, its not a luxury especially for those mothers who work from home. I used to think that taking a vacation was a luxury. Huge misconception. Someone lied when they convinced you that being a mom meant not being able to live again. They lied when they told you that you couldn't be your most authentic self at all times. They also lied when they tried to convince you that you didn't deserve to live a little because you are supposed to die by heart break and sadness caused by "mommies guilt".
Don't let these stereotypes stop you from soaring in your purpose fearlessly today. Take a break and live a little if you can. If you can take the help offered and give yourself a chance to be YOU. Give your self a break every now and then. You absolutely deserve it. Give up a pair of loubs, give up $500 hairdos, give something up and take a break AWAY from your routine. Let go of parental guilt. You are allowed to make a living for your family. You are also allowed to take a breather when needed. You are doing what you need to do in order to take care of your family, there should be no guilt involved.

This time it was even a little more special. We gave a beautiful toast in honor of my better half, my partner and best friend. Apart from eating at every road side joint we could find, we had the opportunity to bond as a family. This trip was filled with so much laughter and love.

Today my spirit is a little angry so bear with me. For those who don't know, there is civil unrest and turmoil going on right now in English Cameroon. Fighting to abolish marginalization of Anglophone Cameroon. Its very painful to watch kids being teargassed men and women being beaten in the streets because they are standing for what they believe in.
For those of us out of Cameroon in the diaspora, we forget how blessed we are sometimes. We live in a country where we can seat in a room and empower each other, but yet we take it for granted. We live in a country where a woman can run for president and we don't know how darn blessed we are. We are given all the tools to be the best we can be. We are not here by chance, so please whatever you have chosen to do in this time, your job, purpose, career etc do it like you have never before because it's a blessing. Take the rest of the day and ask yourself what you did to not be in the streets of Cameroon right now being teargassed, kicked around and tortured? Are you anymore special than the ladies in the streets being beaten, mothers who can't sleep for fear of their children out of the home? Are you not Cameroonian or of Cameroonian decent? Take this time to reflect on what you can do to make sure that your walk in this LIFE is touching and affecting someone else and not just you.

Your purpose has got to be bigger than you. As a mother what are you doing to change and impact your community? Who are you giving back to? Who is better today because of your generousity? You have been given all that you need to stand out and be a blessing to SOMEONE ELSE. It starts with YOU.

Mamipikintalks is my effort to break the silence in our communities. Don't be on the sidelines. Stand for something that is bigger than you.

"Meaningful Conversations are life changing conversations"

I apologize for being MIA. I have been working on a ton of amazing stuff.
I constantly share on my journey as a mother and event planner because I understand the power of my story. I understand that there could be a woman out there scared to walk in her purpose and is waiting for a story she can relate to. I am interested in the everyday woman. The woman who is selling puff puff to raise her children, the woman who society gave up on because she had a child as a teenager or out of wedlock, the woman who has 4 children gone back to school and pursued her dreams. The woman who is able to balance working full time and raising her children. The woman who doesnt have children physically but has adopted is giving them her best. The woman who is an aunt or Godmother. The everyday mentor, the mentor who is not a millionaire. I am interested in the testimonies that are relatable. Your story is always going to be relatable. I am interested in the everyday woman making a difference in her community. That's a story that I would like to sit in on.

In the past month so much has happened I could write an entire series. One of the most important things you can do in your life is to TELL YOUR OWN STORY. I want to take this moment to encourage all our readers to stand in their own truth. Create a circle that can hold you accountable. Let go of friendships that cannot leave the past in the past. If you are surrounded by women who constantly put you and yours down you need to remove yourself from such company. Remove yourself from relationships that rid you of your sanity. Take a stand on issues that you feel strongly about in honesty and truth. If you cannot set your self free of others opinion you will never attain that next level greatness that awaits you. We have locked ourselves up in a prison of secrets and these secrets are killing us by the minute. Of course we have to be discrete and pray for a spirit of discernment but at the end of the day no one will tell your story better than you. Your story is a journey. Its usually what sets you apart. Its unique.
Don't let the wrong version of your story being told stop you from walking with your head held high.

This brings us to "Meaningful conversations". Meaningful Conversations are life changing conversations. These are those conversations that address the stereotypes and prejudices that we face as women and most especially mothers in today's world. When you share in conversation with other women you realize that there is a real life healing that takes place. You also learn that most of us have very similar struggles and triumphs. You take charge of those very issues that hold you back by addressing them in a forum that is judgment free. I am going to take the mandate of holding
meaningful conversations on the road. We are coming to a neighborhood near you, stay tuned. My ultimate goal is to empower women as a whole, and promote a safe space to have life changing conversations in an intimate forum. This can be done by promoting meaningful conversations in our immediate communities. You don't need a fancy space, linen or props. Just get together in a coffee shop or restaurant and create a safe space to uplift, empower, and strengthen each other.

The most important goal I have set for my self is to walk my talk. We all can do this by standing for something. Take a chance and speak on your story. Share your journey with someone else. Share your own truth. You might save a life. Sometimes even your life.
I truly believe in the phrase "Nomamipikinleftbehind". Be the woman that you are raising your daughter to be or the daughter in law you will love your son to meet. Be an open book. Let your experiences serve as a bridge to walking in your purpose.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and there is no better time for Cameroonian born Artist Master Yen to release an award winning video that speaks volumes against Domestic violence. Domestic violence is at our doorsteps and yet we ignore the conversation completely. We cannot continue to stay silent about this cancer that is domestic violence. Domestic violence involves violence or abuse by one person against another in a familiar or intimate relationship. Domestic violence is most commonly thought of as partner violence, but can also include violence or abuse from a family member.

Statistics and studies insist that stopping domestic violence long-term and “breaking the cycle of violence” heavily relies on raising children in an environment that is free of violence because children learn what the live ( that is if they haven't been killed or completely damaged from the abuse itself). In studies compared with children in other households, children who have been exposed to domestic violence are more likely to experience difficulties in school and to score lower on assessments of verbal, motor, and cognitive skills, and are more likely to exhibit aggressive and antisocial behavior, to be depressed and anxious, and to have slower cognitive development.
