Hi everyone! I know many of you are starting to decorate for Fall but here in Florida the temps are in the high 90s and we are still enjoying the pool.   Actually, the pool is solar heated so we use it pretty much year round.  We have made a few changes to the pool area including new lounge chairs, umbrella, and cushions.  The most expensive change was replacing the screen on the pool

It has been really hot here in Florida with LOTS of rain.  All this rain makes it hard to plan outdoor activities but it has kept our plants alive and thriving. The enclosed courtyard is in the front of our house and visitors walk through it to get to the front door.  It is the favorite part of our house and the first impression for anyone dropping by. It's blueberry season here in central Florida and over the weekend Steve and I visited one of the many U Pick farms in our area.  We brought home five pounds of berries!  I froze half of them and cooked some down with sugar for syrup.   So far we have used the fresh berries in homemade pancakes, shortcake (yum!) and added them to a fruit salad of watermelon, cantaloupe and bananas.  I see

On New Years day you will find many southerners eating black eyed peas and greens.
