A Team of Engineers from Bangalore and Noida have developed BharatCaller, which is a 100% Indian alternative to TrueCaller. A Team of Engineers have built BharatScanner - an Indian Alternative of CamScanner in just 4 days. This shows the technical capabilities of Indians and the hard work they can put in when it is about our country.

On 29th June 2020, When Indian Government banned 59 Chinese apps, CamScanner was one of the apps. It was banned because CamScanner was being used in Indian Hospitals, Government Offices, Colleges, Research Institutes and the documents scanned could be easily sent to china. This meant that China Govt. could easily find out everything that Indians were working on. Any new research work or medical breakthroughs could easily land in their hands.

Pajjwal & Kunal had been using CamScanner for a very long time but never thought how risky it was to use Chinese apps. Only after the ban, they realized that Chinese apps are a threat to National Security, especially after the Galwan Valley incident.

Hence, they started working on a better and more secure alternative of CamScanner that could be used by Indians without any worry of their data getting leaked. They started working on BharatScanner on 1st July and spent 4 days and 4 nights spending 18 hours a day on coding the app.
On 2nd July, they release a beta version, and then on 5th July at 8 PM they released the Full version for Public use.

Immediately after the launch, BharatScanner went viral and got downloaded over 1000 times in just 4 hours. in the first 24 hours of the launch, the app got 4500+ downloads on Google PlayStore. BharatScanner is The Indian CamScanner. It has been developed by KickHead Softwares Pvt Ltd. (Bangalore & Noida) which is a company founded by IIM Bangalore, BITS Pilani Alumni who has 10+ years of experience in companies like McAfee, Intel, TCS and ARM.

BharatScanner's UI is very similar to CamScanner as it is meant to help the users who were using CamScanner earlier. Changing the UI might make it difficult for users to adopt the new product hence they kept the same interface as Camscanner.

How did they start creating the Camscanner's Indian Version?

At a time when there is a lot of tension between India and China, Prajjwal who is an Alumnus of IIM Bangalore decided to create a new Indian version of Camscanner. He and his team had been using CamScanner for a very long time but after the recent events at the Galwan Valley, it was impossible for him to use CamScanner. Hence he talks to his friend Kunal Pasricha to start working on an alternative Indian version of Camscanner.

It took them 10 days to develop the Indian CamScanner after working 16 hours a day. The team is now working on new features as well that will help the users a lot.

How is it an Indian CamScanner?

It has been developed in Bangalore and Noida and all the information, images and pdf are stored in Indian Servers. There is no foreign element in the Bharatscanner app and they are branding the app as "The Indian Camscanner"

Focus on the following topics to get a good score, I must say a very good score(above 90 percentile) because the competition is very tough now:

If you prepare just these topics very well and up to the level of eLitmus, believe me you will get above 90 percentile. Another advantage of preparing these topics with a solid knowledge is that these are also the topics for problem solving section, which we will be discussing next, so if you are preparing these topics you are also preparing for problem solving section.

If you are already very good at quantitative aptitude, you don't need to waste too much of your time in preparing this section. You should focus on other section to get a better result.

But, if your quantitative aptitude is weak, you should give time to it my friend because the level of eLitmus paper is quite good(equivalent to CAT paper). Believe me, there is no other way or any shortcut to get good score. Practice continuously for the next 10-15 days until you start feeling comfortable with it.

Please don't try to solve too many questions because this way you will screw yourself(don't forget there is negative marking too in the exam). Just target a certain number of question according to your level, after all everyone knows his/her level of aptitude. Just target to solve a minimum of 4 questions correctly in this section.
