But the desire for something new is a neverending quest for me. I didn't give up on blogging even if Google Adsense suspended me, dahil sa pag-clik ng sarili kong mga patalastas. Pasensya na obvious na malaki ang pangangailangan e hehehe. Well, ganon talaga lesson learned na lang dapat.

Just testing the waters

I'll be moving to a new host for the meantime.

I just want something new for a blog that's why I'm testing the waters over at tumblr (which is BTW is still empty, will be filling it up for 3 days after this am going to have lots of free time).

This totally not a farewell to blogger, that has been very gracious for making my blogging life easy and fruitful.
If this won' work with tumbler I'll just be making a new blog in this account.

Inconsistency

I've been blogging for more than 5 years but I haven't achieved a certain consistency in this arena. This is in the sense of posting time, posting posts, topics to write and the whole idea of a being a nurse with random thoughts.

I've thought of starting anew but I can't just ignore what I have started. Being monotonous is the last thing that I have in mind.

Today I encountered some nurse from another hospital telling me that after every procedure the doctors let the patients eat. I know you're concerned with your mom but uuhhmm there are some lapses in your knowledge. All I can say is that he's hampas lupa! I just found out yesterday that he's not a nurse just some employee from a hospital.

Hello New Year!

Part of my job is to update relatives on patient's condition, well might as update you guys of what I'm doing so far and how I've been...

Just a few days ago the whole world celebrated new year. We had a quaint but fun celebration at home. We may be far away from home but we know how to have fun :)

As for the gifts that I received for Christmas I got the best! And it didn't came in a box mind you. I wouldn't ask for anything else anyway. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one wish that I would like to have for 2011.

I was hoping to get this 'stuff' that would help me organize my wedding but looks like I have to tighten my belt on saving up for our big day. Oh yeah, I wasn't able to mention before, I got engaged September 2010. Hopefully we'll get married late this year or early next year.

As for new year's resolutions I got a few changes that I would love to do:

Take care of my skin - use lotions and moisturizers more often
Watch out for my body - take care of it.
Invest on properties like a house and lot in Laguna Technopark and Tagaytay
Travel more - the best advice that I got from a patient: go out and see the world. And even if I have my own family I would love to explore it with them.
Explore possibilities of having a business that involves my craft and blogging.
So in connection to #5, must master arts, craft, to post more relevant things in this blog and improve my English eloquence for writing.

Being deployed sure has slapped my senses. Yeah there could hardships and shitty shizzles but I'm still fighting. I could say that I've adjusted somehow but I still have a lot go. I just have to enjoy the moment that I have here so I won't feel miserable all the time. I'm always looking forward on going home for it makes me complete. I look forward to payday to feel the fruits of my hard and painstaking labor. I'm happy every time I talk to Seffy.

So much for the update about myself I still want to improve whichever is right for me.

Kawawa naman ang mga pusa. Hay naku good thing there's no photos from this news at baka malungkot ako lalo...They have feelings too noh!

Is there a clear/precise law on cruelty to animals? I'm always in awe if I watch some shows in Nat Geo and Discovery channel about people saving animals and stuff like that. Other countries even have some protection unit for them. How I wish that we have that in the Philippines.

Ever since my sister Chamu wen to Japan and I started to work here in SG I was exposed to Japanese thinga-majing. Uniqueness, creativity, reliability, durability and simplicity are best qualities that I could describe of for these Japan-made food/stuff .

1. Royce Chocolates

The Rolls Royce of Chocolates

I first heard about Royce from chuvaness. I tasted it the first time was back in the Philippines in Greenbelt.
It was love at first bite. But it was too expensive. So, here in SG this is one of my guilty pleasures every payday.

2. Uniqlo

3. Hikosen Cara

I haven't bought yet this pillow/stuff toy. When I saw this in Takashiyama S.C. initial reaction "Aaawwww so cute." The moment I touched the pillow, its so soft and smooth. It doesn't look asthma-inducing. It comes in 3 different sizes but I like the large one. But the price is kinda steep (SGD 110) even with a 10% discount when TSC had a sale its still mahalia jackson.

4. Fujitsu

Fujitsu laptops are really EXPENSIVE in Pinas. I bought the laptop thinking that I can never buy this for its price here. My cousin heard it costs 30k+ php.

5.The miniature donuts in Takashimaya...I just forgot the name

And I even forgot to take pictures. They are bite sized doughnuts that comes in a different variety and flavor ( I like the cream-cheese filled doughnut the best). They sell merlion shaped doughnuts. So cute.

When I heard my colleague is planning a 2-week honeymoon in Japan. I'm so inggit (with the trip ha not the honeymoon ;) ) So next year I'll see what I can do to make it happen :)

I've always wondered how is it like to shop in Forever 21. Reading countless magazines from the US has given me the idea of this shop. Many eons later I work in SG and comes face to face with F21 with 4 floors of greatness. Until I came in, the clothes are great, but I'm not sure if its because of age that I felt no sense of belongingness. It took me 4-5 visits to F21 before I could totally relate to the merchandise. Or is my taste in clothes has changed. But I'm all ok now with it. I adore the accessories collection.

Having Forever 21 in the Philippines is heaven sent. Too bad I wasn't there to experience it.

The above dress-code is my interpretation of dressing glamorously. Frankly speaking, its far from glamorous, I just need an outfit that could be suitable with walking, dancing and partying. After many years its my first time to wear the foot torturer that is called high-heeled sandals. My legs are shaking because of pain. I should have trained myself again before wearing one.

Wish fulfilled many eons later...

I wrote this 4 or 5 years ago...It turned out that I've saved this in my multiply account.

It took me this long to fulfill this wishlist. In less than 5 months time in SG I was able to buy myself a laptop and an Ipod touch. As for the MMS cellphone, I got one from Dad as my graduation gift. But I switched back to the "flashlight" handphone because I realized that I don't really SMS that much and that its still useful for calling. Before leaving for SG I was granted approval of a credit card from one of the best banks in the Philippines that I never applied for. All of this I obtained through God's grace, hardwork and patience. But what puzzles me is that even if I worked in the Philippines for more than four years I wasn't able to buy those things.

These things are the fruits of my tears and blood for sacrifice. I'm not rich just because I have these things, I worked hard for it...

I am sleepy, I'm not sure if I'm making any sense at all.

My eyes are getting blurry. But one thing is for sure this profession has placed me in a position of loving and hating all at the same time...

The first time I've encountered a collage was when I was in my 3rd year in High School. I have no idea how to make one and its a mini-project in our Religion class. I find it very tedious because of the cutting, filling up and pasting. Now thanks to modern technology creating a photo collage is made easier.

Photovisi is a free and easy to use online tool to create photo collages. Select one of the many collage templates, add your photos and then customize by dragging items around. After the collage is finished, it's available for download and print!

I find it very simple though. Because what I want with my collage is to be squeezed in with a whole bunch of pictures. But this will do, If you want to appreciate photos in few collective numbers.

BTW they have a contest of whoever creates the best heart shaped collage and you get yourself a chance to win an iPad...

I felt the rain

The rain earlier this evening has coincided with my emotions today...Wency Cornejo and Backstreet boys provided me the perfect soundtrack for it.

Its nothing but the same old outbursts, fear and frustrations. Same old questions, same old OLD.

Tonight I cried for the nth time for reasons I can't muster. I heaved out long deep sighs just to calm myself. I've spoken to people whom I trust the most and the one who would just listen sans the advice (I don't accept unsolicited advice).

I'm still on the FIGHT mode. I may be one tough ass but I won't fight till my last breath. I still want to leave myself some love, respect and dignity.

It's Christmas time in the city

I went to Orchard this evening to check some good deals for gifts that I could send home. I can't help but notice the Christmas trees in Orchard Road. And now I really, really miss home.

If you're spending the holidays in Manila the lights and color are brighter. Hayyyy

Another thing, ABS-CBN really knows how to throw the homesickness punch. They have this station ID for Christmas that really hits the jackpot. And now am more homesick as ever.

One thing is certain, there's a psychology behind facebook and it has shaped the way we live. I only have the following (in random order):

The Halloween celebration here is no trick-or-treat type. I find it more like wearing costumes just for fun. So I guess I'll be seeing vampires and glow in the dark horns. Not to mention the SCREAM mask.

We don't celebrate Halloween the PHL. We have the All Saint's Day which is something like a day of obligation for us Catholics to go to mass on November 1. Also to commemorate our departed loved ones that's supposed to be November 2 for the All Soul's Day.

I could still remember the days we spent in the PHL come November 1. When we were younger, we're fond of watching the Halloween special of Magandang Gabi Bayan (hosted by former VP Noli de Castro). It's also a reunion of sorts come this day for we always have a gathering in the cemetery where cousins from all degrees and consanguinity would come. As I grow older I was missing it every time because of work. Ah, memories...those were the days...
