Here's our knitting doctor's tip for perfect cables every time!

When you learn to cable, this is something they never tell you. 

Using the right tool for the job is the key. That means using a cable needle that is a bit larger than your project needle. 

Why use a larger cable needle?

It allows the working needle tips to get under the stitches that would otherwise be tight. This will produce consistent and plump cable stitches. 

Another tip: Consider a cable needle with a bow shape. That shape will keep those cable stitches from slipping off the needle.

Happy (cable) knitting!

Add locking stitch markers! Let's say you have a project with 100 stitches. Place a marker every 10 or 20 stitches. Tracking in smaller increments is a simple and fast way to identify an issue, rather than finding out several rows later and having to rip back.

These locking stitch markers attach to the stitch and are easily moved.

3. Give. It makes us feel good! Whether you're stitching for charity or teaching someone to knit or crochet, giving fills up our joy cup. 
4. Savor. Being present in the moment and enjoying the feeling of the yarn in our hands, the joy of learning a new stitch or revisiting a familiar one, noticing the colors and textures, and all the other little things we surround ourselves with while working on a project makes the good feeling grow.
