I went a little copy/paste happy yesterday while doing the update and failed to realize that I marked The Struggle for Good by ya_lublyu_tebya as Complete. The story is actually a WIP. Oops.

I also failed to announce that Nocturnal Light received a lovely prezzie at the Running With Scissors Awards! Lookee!

Is it my imagination or did fixing the reviews submission bug encourage more of you to review? Either way, I'm really glad to see the spike in reviews and I know the authors do as well! Maybe I'll do an honor roll of top reviewers as a thank you... I'll see about that.

Changing Your Email Address
I've gotten a few emails asking me to change the email address where you get your NL updates. The thing is, I can't do that. If you would like to update your email settings, please go to the NL Updates Yahoo Group page. From there, you can edit your membership, including update your email address information.

Spuffy Awards
Because it's that time again where a new round has begun and I need nominees. And because you know I like to make things as easy as possible, the "Nominate this story at Spuffy Awards" link is back up! All you have to do is click that link and all information pertinent to the story is automatically added for you on the nominate form. It really can't get much easier than that!

Trust me when I say that authors like to receive nomination notices. Example: I received an email yesterday that Nocturnal Light was nominated at the Running with Scissors Awards. My reaction: OMG, that's so awesome! See? Nominations make people happy. Nominate!

Viewing & Printing Stories
You now have the option of viewing a multi-chapter story in its entirety on one page. Just click on the "View Entire Story" link at the top of a story page. The links to chapters will take you right to a chapter on that same page--a lot like the old archive used to.

If you want to print a story, I've formatted the print page so that only the story title, summary, chapter text and any author notes print. From there you can print right to your printer or if you can, to PDF.

Question: Would it be useful to you as a reader to be able to download a PDF version of a story? Let me know.

New Layout!
Nocturnal Light has a new look! Check it out and let me know what you think on the brand new tagboard! I realized that the old tagboard created annoying commercial pop-ups, so I made my own board. No more pop-up ads!

If you run into any problems/issues on the site, please let me know as I've made lots of tiny changes. I've tried testing everything, but in case I missed something, do let me know!

Note About Reviews
Authors love reviews! They really do. When you write a review, it doesn't only mean you have to praise them for their awesomeness... you can be critical, if necessary. HOWEVER, don't just say, "I really didn't like XYZ" or "I really think XYZ was a no-no." If you want to be critical, make sure your criticism is constructive, not just pointing out the issues you had with a story because that's not how you think it should have flowed. I reserve the right to delete any reviews that I think are out of line and/or not at all helpful to either the reader or the writer.

Having said that, please do leave reviews that will be beneficial to everyone who reads fanfic on this site and who has graciously allowed me to add their stories to the archive.
