[Solved] Linksys E1500 Slow WiFi Bandwidth 3MBps

At first, i was not noticing that my WiFi Router [Linksys E1500] running so slow until i install speedtest app from Google Play Store. I saw the bar pointing on 3 something MBps. FYI i subscribe for 6MBps, then this is PROBLEM. So i tried to connect my other WiFi Router on Tenda W316R. I play again with the app, and whalaa 6 something MBps. Ok, so i think there is no connection issue here. Back to my Linksys router, i saved any configuration then i reboot the device. And whalaa i see it again, 3 something MBps.

I have search for resolution and i get enlightenment on http://community.linksys.com/t5/Social-Media-Support/E1500-Slow-Download-Speed/td-p/463027 . So here is the solution:

Login to your Router Web Configuration, i set my own at 192.168.2.1
Point to Wireless > Basic Wireless Setting > Manual.

Basic Config – Put Your Router’s Port On before set IP – Cisco

This is a basic config but crucial if you not turn this on.

Make sure that after enable to privilege mode, do this step:
router#
router#configuration terminal
router (config)#interface FastEthernet 0/0 #example on port FastEthernet#
router (config-if)#no shutdown
%LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface FastEthernet0/0, changed state to up
Router#
%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console
#since this point so you can add the other component such as ip address#
router (config-if)#ip address 10.0.0.1 255.0.0.0

Now let’s check the router’s port status

router (config-if)#do show ip interface brief
Interface            IP-Address OK? Method       Status                        Protocol
FastEthernet0/0 unassigned        YES unset up                              down
FastEthernet0/1 unassigned        YES unset administratively down down
Vlan1                  unassigned       YES unset administratively down down

See, FastEthernet0/0 Status is Up, Yay!

And done! Simple but crucial. Add it or you gonna down
