I know. I know. My past few articles have been all about Traffup. I promise to write more about other things, but this is one big news that I had to cover here. Traffup has finally breached the 5 digit mark on Alexa website rankings.

Celebration of this great festival Holi starts early in the morning and we find group of friends in the shape of small processions accompanied by bands, drums and ‘bajas’. Many mythological stories and ‘Kathas’ are linked to this festival. One such story is of King “Harna Kash” who had declared himself to be the God and did not allow any of his subjects to worship any other God. His own son Prahlad revolted and opposed Harnakash. The cruel king resorted to all types of physical actions against his son Prahlad and his sister called “Holika” prepared a special pyre where Prahlad was to be burnt alive. In reality the opposite happened. Prahlad was saved and the demon King was actually killed and finished. Even today, people burn Holika, each year, to mark the victory of good over evil

And for a very long time, webshots remained one of my favourite websites. With the passing time, people (bloggers) came up with their own travelogues. Some of them even posted their documentaries on Youtube. So, when i was getting so much from other places, i didn’t find webshots happening anymore. And thats the cruel side of the fast growing internet. Here, ideas depletes faster than the resources.

And that is what we are aiming for. we are planning to launch a full-fledged travel website that will transport you to the most beautiful cities of the world (while sitting on your comfortable couch). Unlike other travelling blogs or websites, you have seen so far, this website will provide you everything under one roof (or one domain). The website, right now, is still in the development phase. But, we thought it would be nice to share this news with all our avid readers. And, if you love travelling you will definitely love this website.

Your ads (text or image rich) needs to be attractive to get the attention of your users. Now, a lot of people will argue that they can’t do much about it as Google decides the content of the ads. YES, but you can style their appearances, right?

You can change the appearance of your text ad by customizing its border, font style, color and size. Similarly, to enhance the appeal of your image rich ads, you can place them over a classic background (or can restyle their borders). This will induce the visitors to click on your ads.

3. Preview your Ads:

You know that your blog (or website) will be viewed by viewers of different countries. And as Google Adsense uses geo-targetting, users from different countries will see different ads (as per their location) on your website.

So, you can use Google Publisher Toolbar to view the ads displayed on your website. In case if you didn’t like the content of any particular ad (you find it vulgar or irrelevant to your website), you can block it. After all, there is a better chance of your viewers clicking on relevant and decent ads.

Note: Showing indecent or vulgar ads can badly affect the reputation of your website among your viewers.

4. Original and Relevant Content:

• 336 px by 280px rectangular ad units (within posts as images, also can be placed in sidebar)
