The last day of a holiday in Mallorca is always very important, and it is the day you always remember. Therefore, at nofrills excursions we were very happy when we read our last excellent review on trip from some clients who joined our Island tour and they had a perfect end to their holidays in Mallorca.

The island tour that we do at nofrills excursions is one of the best trips, and we always get fantastic reviews. Many clients like to do this excursion again when they come on holiday. This is what happened to Ranald, the traveller that shared this review on trip advisor about nofrills excursions and the Island tour rated as an excellent day out.

We did this tour about 8 years or more ago and debated about doing it again – however much we enjoyed it then. This time we went with No Frills Excursions, who did the trip in reverse order from our last trip. The trip combined a coach, a spectacular drive to Sa Calobra and boat from there to Pto Soller. Lunch there followed by the ram ride to Soller station and then a wonderful train ride down and through the mountains to the plain with all the orange and lemon trees, the olive groves, almond trees. After that we relined the coach for the final leg and the return of people to their hotels in Alcudia and Pte Pollensa. We had an outstanding guide (Juan) and driver (Francisco) who combined (with a very comfortable coach) gave us all a day to remember. It was the last day of our holiday in Pto Pollensa and the trip could not have been a better finale.

Juan is one of our guides, and he does many excursions every week: Island tour, Caves, Soller+Lluc… as all the members of our staff, he is passionate about the island, and he likes to speak about almond trees, and he always have almond seeds with him.

It is quite common that we have on our excursions clients who love gardening, and to have Juan with them is a great chance for getting some almond seeds. This is what hapenned last year when Petra and Richard came with us on the excursion A day in Lluc and Soller. Back home, they planted the seeds and this is the actual result:

As you see the mallorcan almond tree is starting to grow, and we really hope that in the future Richard and Petra have the opportunity to have some beautiful and tasty almond trees.
