Hello Nokia users!
I've been using Voip for the last 2 years on my SPA3102 and GXP 2000 in US or in EU and I like this stuff!
I ended up with Callcentric and so far is working good. Now I'm looking for a reliable Nokia cell phone, which will be simple to set up wit any voip provider (in case I have to switch for some reason).
Guys, please guide me trough the shopping for a reliabble and affordable phone.
Thanks for your time!

Hi I have been using VoIP calls on my Nokia with inbuilt sip phone, with Numbuzz & also on fring with 3G data package.

How ever I have noticed that the upload voice always breakup & there is a huge delay (for upload only) when I use inbuilt sipfone or on Nimbuzz but on fring the quality is always good. I have tried different VoIP providers & my experience is always the same.

Does anyone knows why? Does fring uses some different codec? Am I doing some wrong configuration on my Nokia E71?

Hi

i heard fring has developed its own codecs and it needs only 2kBps uplink and 2kBps downlink, means you need total 4x8 = 32kbps connection for mobile voip via fring....kind of good thing :)

i used it a lot on gprs and edge networks (no 3G in my location) and it was good and clear BUT latency was a BIG problem in my case.....about 3-4 seconds lag.
