Old Nokia World: Big, grand, glitzy and an great opportunity to show off Nokia’s latest and greatest devices and services.
New Nokia World: Closed groups, smaller, informal and……….a bit too modest for a firm desparate to show everyone what it can still achieve?

Question: is this new format typical of other major mobile/smartphone companies?

If this is to save money, fine, but if there’s something else behind this i can’t really see the reason.
Nokia World is supposed to be largest expo of everything Nokia that also serves as a massive gathering of global Nokia enthuastics.

This seems like watered-down small scale event scattered around. As a Nokia blogger not liking this at all.

Do you mean the N900 or a Lumia 900?

The N900 was a great device at it’s time, but the N9 is still a good successor. Not perfect but still good.

If you are talking about the Lumia 900 then you have never used a N9 and a Windows Phone in comparsion. The Lumia 900 would be a huge downgrade, even if you compare it with the already outdated Nokia N8-00.

Did you find that SlackerRadio made your WP unstable? I had installed it once and used it for a couple of weeks. When it was running, I found that the WP would lock up and reboot itself every once in a while. Suspecting that app, I uninstalled it and have never had the WP do the same thing again. This would be the version installed somewhere around the end of March, 2012.
