Not too long ago I crowned Wovenhand as band of the week. Well, to verify that they deserved the honor, I saw them live when they hit Brooklyn in early October. The show was intense and powerful - words I would not often use to describe folk music, which generally makes me think of a lighter, more playful vibe. It was a great show.

Back in April Gene Simmons and his family posed for pictures as a part of the NOH8 campaign that went on. Obviously, this was awesome of them.
