S's Engagement .. and the so called the first shot(s) of 2012.

I need to select the least revealing shot and also the most decent shot to feature in this blog since S has requested me not to expose it excessively and obsessively, and therefore I need to respect it. However I have posted 4 photos of the engagement day in my FB-page called Nonocaptures. Yes I have setup a FB-page exclusively for my arts, products and captures. ;-)

I am not looking for a popularity, and I am not setting up the FB-page because of fame but rather than to have a proper place where I can interact with those with similar interest with me which is obviously photography! I was a bit inferior and scared to setup an exclusive FB-page for my captures at first and that's why I have decided to shared Color Warna with 2 of my friends instead.

Anyway, I just came back from Kedah for a solemnization of L & Z a week ago and I have a lot to write about it in the next entry! Stay tune.. :)

On the other note, I would like to express my highly apologize to those whom the pictures that I havent delivered yet, ... But dont you worry your pictures and final products will reach you. I will guarantee that. This crazy amount of works really limit my movement and everything seem to be so out of reach, and it left me dumb and numb, even 10minutes walks to the post office seem to be very far. (Aimi I am dedicating this to you) Whoops.

I hate it when people criticize my works but still want me to do it for them when they have choice of not to. I hate those people. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

This is just a quick update. I’ll be back blogging for good with lotsa updates, insha Allah on the 15th of January! I am still in my exam period by the way… O.ov

So, these are my packages from January till Jun 2012 (may be…) or I might just stay with it till the end of 2012. We’ll see.

2011 Reflections

1) However difficult the situation might be, there’ll be always a way (at least) to resolve it.

2) I grew faster, stronger, and wiser. And most importantly I am still alive. Yey!

3) Jangan menyerah & percaya pada diri!

4) It is true, love comes when you least expects it...

5) Be thankful with all the shits that happened in your life as it made you a relevant and considerate person. Yes I am so thankful for that because I am becoming one. ;) Alhamdulillah.

6) Keep going. Even it takes you to crawl to reach the finishing line. Try. Try. Try. And if you failed, try again.

7) It’s never too late – it’s better late than never.

8) Sony Alpha brought me to where I am today. Through all these days with Sony, I am happy dan jauh dah saya pergi. ;)

9) I realized the importance of having saving and currently I am working on it. And I try to discipline myself to spend only on necessary things, mengelak hutang, mencuba untuk menahan diri daripada meng-upgrade dan menambah gears untuk sementara waktu kerana memang belum mampu.

10) I started to love gold! Hur hur hur… :D

11) Realizing the importance of balancing, and consistency to live a life however still unable to practice it or apply it in life. But I will keep trying, no worries.

12) Rasa syukur bertambah-tambah in the midst of hidup yang tunggang langgang, penuh malang kadang-kadang, dan lintang pukang because, Allah sent me some people yang sangat-sangat unlucky hidupnya (compare to me) but yet still happy.

13) What you see isn’t really what you get. Thus, what you see is what you get isn’t 100% true.

14) Dah malas berkias-kias. Kalau nak, terus cakap nak. Kalau tak nak, cakap taknak. Kalau suka, cakap suka. Kalau tak suka, cakap tak suka… Less stress, less mess. Oh, do speak up, voice out! Fight for your rights if you’re right lah kan…

15) You are responsible with your life. If you look for trouble, trouble you’ll get in the end. In addition to that, since you’re responsible with your life so you need approval of no one if you want to do something regardless of whom they are. Ask for opinion instead of approval. Approval and opinion are two different things. Or else, you’ll live other’s life and losing yours. Believe me. Terms and conditions applied, btw. Most importantly, jadilah manusia, jadilah orang.

16) Do what you love and love what you’re doing. Be good at it.

17) Ingat, rezeki Allah yang bagi, bukan orang yang bagi.

18) What comes from the heart will touch the heart.

19) Kalau rasa tak dihargai. Pergilah lari jauh jauh jauh dan jauh bawa diri. Mungkin rezeki, happiness, dan destiny kita bukan di tempat sendiri. Hidup mesti berani! Rempuh je hidup nie! ;D

20) Saya mintak maaf saya tak sempat bloghopping/blogwalking… Serious saya busy gilaaaaaa. But I will try to make time for you. Infinite thank you to those yang always come over, and compliments my works. The same goes to those yang sent me emails jugak… Thanks for the aspiring and inspiring supportive words and compliments. Thank you banyak banyak banyak. ;)

Today is a beautiful windy day! Oh, another blogpost… Second last for the year of 2011. The last one has been saved in draft, waiting to be published in 5 days time may be. It would be my 2011’s reflections as a whole. Tungguuuuu saja dong….

Just want to show you Nono Fara’s final products, the semi-official one since the official one would be in pink and I may upgrade it from time to time… I was just experimenting, and try to find out what colors, photobook styles and design, frames and packaging that really resembles me and reflects my style, as in when people look at it they’ll know its Nono Fara’s! Oh in addition to that, for sure adjustments and amendments will be made to my photography packages too! Ehem… I haven’t fully evaluate and update it yet so for those who send me inquiries before 30th December will be using the old one. No worries, the new one will stays reasonable. Hopefully.... ;)

So I leave you with some of the final products that are ready to be shipped out. Some are still in process and progress…

GTG… FYI, I am still in my pjs. Must hit the shower by now, and speed up to Shah Alam in 1hr time. Today is going to be my last shooting job in the year of 2011… Should be fun! :) Insha Allah… Wish me luck!

Insha Allah I'll have one special outdoor session with Fairuz and Wana this coming January or February. We were supposed to have an outdoor session after the reception however hujan turun dengan super lebatnya masa majlis resepsi. Grrrr.

But then again, I'm still putting many things on my plate and I hate myself for that.

Radin + Lubna

Honestly at this moment of time I am so grateful and thankful that I have an amazing job (err.. A part time job actually…) that really exhilarates and excites me – of cus it’s photography! ;) I can’t believe I’ve traveled a lot and returned with lotsa lovey dovey stories to show you in this blog.

Anyway, 3 weeks ago I was in Kelantan to photograph Fairuz + Wana’s solemnization and reception (which I will blog about it in the next entry insha Allah), and a week after that I was in Batu Pahat to photograph Radin + Lubna’s reception. I’ve just finished with the editing of their pictures, so yea it’s a ‘show and tell’ time!

The images shown below are not 100%-ly from my camera. Some are from Faiza’s and some are from Alip’s. Thanks Faiza! Thanks Alip! Thanks for assisting me throughout the event. You guys rock! ;)

Fairuz + Wana's Solemnization

On the morning of November 10th, I thank God I had this urge to double-check my email to check the flight itinerary. I thought that my flight to Kelantan will be on the next day (Nov 11th) but the moment I saw the email I was overwhelmed by extreme cuakness cus my flight is actually on the 10th, yes, on that day itself at 5.55pm!

Thank God it wasnt a morning flight or else there'll be a big chance I might miss the flight. Phew~ *sweat*

So yea, .. this is my second time to Kelantan to capture a wedding and of course I feel honoured for the opportunity. Thanks Fairuz and Wana! And not to forget to Wana's twin sister, Wani for introducing and promoting me to Wana. ;)

Faisal + Hanan ...

Wanted to write separately about their wedding and also their post wed session so that it wont mix up but I am afraid I'll end up taking so much time to write... So let's just wrap everything in one blogpost then. :D

Anyway, I just hand in their final products last Wednesday and honestly it was a moment of 'phewww'.. Meaning, I am done with one thing in my 'to-do' list and it is time to move on to the next one.

Untuk entri kali nie saya nak tulis dalam bahasa Melayu supaya segala benda lebih terang lagi bersuluh....

Walaupun saya hanya seorang photographer amatur, tapi saya dah berada di dalam industri ini selama dua tahun. Bermula dengan hanya suka-suka, ramai orang mula menyukai gambar-gambar saya dan memberi kepercayaan kepada saya untuk mendokumentasikan hari hari yang remarkable bagi mereka di dalam gambar-gambar saya. Alhaldulillah, saya tak pernah buat hal and saya tak pernah lagi berdepan dengan client yang buat hal.

Jika dahulu, saya tidaklah sesibuk sekarang, jangka waktu untuk clients saya mendapat final products adalah dalam masa 14 hari atau dua minggu sahaja. Disebabkan rezeki saya agak baik, jadi jangka waktu untuk clients mendapat final products may be vary depending on level kesibukan saya. Alhamdulillah clients pun memahami.

Untuk hal diatas, saya telah dihire untuk ambik gambar diorang pre-convo. Deal telah dibuat sejak Ramadhan lagi (kira-kira 2 bulan sebelum tarikh), .. package yang sepatutnya berharga RM450 telah saya kurangkan kepada RM350 kerana saya bagi muka kat dia since dia kawan kepada kawan. Dan policy saya, jika siapa-siapa nak hire saya jadi photographer saya mahu clients saya bayar advancement of 50% from the price before shooting day untuk saya kunci tarikh dimana shooting akan dibuat and remaining 50% adalah selepas saya shoot. Jikapun ada yang sangsi dan tidak yakin dengan cara payment saya tapi ikut logik dan reputasi saya, payment policy yang saya dah buat throughout my 'career' nie tak menimbulkan masalah pun. so far saya buat kerja saya sehabis baik... Mungkin saya ada terdelay, tapi saya akan maklumkan kepada clients saya jika keadaan memaksa saya untuk delay.

Tetapi diorang tak bayar advancement pun pada saya untuk lock the date sedangkan saya menerima banyak offer untuk convo pada October lepas. Saya messaged via fbmail dan jugak sms, asking for the payment but she replied me "We will pay you on the shooting day. Kenapa tak percaya dengan I ke?" .. Kalau la korang berdepan dgn keadaan tersebut macam mana? Serba salah kan and korang pun okay je walau pun hati kurang sedap. And that was what I did.

On the shooting day duration shooting saya untuk portraiture adalah dalam 1.5 to 3 hrs. But fyi, shooting duration diorang more that estimated time dan saya ok! .. Dan saya jugak offer untuk beri portraiture session untuk setiap orang yang pada mulanya saya nak bagi 3 shots je tapi saya bagi 5! .. And just nak bagitau, masa turn si missy nie punya turn, she was so unhappy because she looks tak okay compare to her friends and I spent so much time on her. So I told her, if this is the case, you'll drag the time and other people pun tunggu turn jugak. Yes, I am straight forward. I saw her face berubah but kena tegas gak.

And after shooting we stopped at Mc D kat Karak. Masa on the way to Mc D, she told me "Nono, kitorang bayar RM 250 dulu ye. Remaining bila terima cds." I was a bit terkilan because macam sebarang je orang buat saya. Kawtim ikut suka dia. Even tho I am not happy tapi saya cakap ok.

Masa kat Mc D, one of her friend wanted to pay me full RM 350. But I tipu cakap I prefer she credit it via M2U sbb saya tak suka bawak cash. Saya berlapik masa tu sbb change of plan si Tengku tu nak bayar saya RM 250 dulu. And masa makan kat Mc D, I remember, Tengku was sitting beside me and slumber je dia berbisik dgn kawan dia suruh bayar RM 250 dulu sedangkan diorang takde kekangngan nak bayar full. Dan saya bersabar sahaja... And masa tu saya belum terima duit diorang lagi. Saya terima duit RM 250 tu selepas 3-5 hari (tak ingat sangat berapa hari) tengok takde amount di creditkan dalam Maybank saya - I wrote her a fbmail asking for the payment.

Since diorang boleh change2 suka2 bila2 nak bayar saya pun boleh suka2 saya nak extra charge kan? Kebetulan amendment untuk packages dah dibuat whereby we only give clients 1 DVD untuk group portraiture, and for additional DVD kena bayar about RM 2 or RM 2.50. I told her and she was unhappy so I questioned her back, if dia boleh suka2 ubah my payment policy I pun boleh jugak. Tapi masa tu I malas nak argue lebih so I told her never mind lah I give you free.

Jika selalunya it takes me about 2 weeks untuk siapkan editing, untuk diorang 1 week sahaja. Selepas siap edit tu I texted si Tengku nie inform dia gambar dah siap tapi I havent burn dalam DVD yet. Saya suruh dia pick up esok tapi dia macam berdegil nak hari tu jugak and saya malas nak layan. Saya masa tu buat part time job kat luar, she called me so many times but I was so busy takde masa nak layan. So balik kerja I texted her saying sorry I was busy. She said she was in UIA, now nak balik dah. She sound so frustrated tapi once again I malas nak layan. Asyik nak ikut convenient dia je. Plus, I never promise her suruh ambik malam tu.

On the next day, I texted her cakap dia boleh pick up the DVDs and dia cakap tunggu dia free which dia tak tau bila dia akan ambik. Sangat selfish. Since saya busy with banyak benda I left the DVDs kat orang lain and I told her you ambik la bila2 you free. And she didnt reply.

Masa deliver DVDs dia saya pun deliver DVD orang lain jugak and that orang lain ada prob with the DVD. Data tak masuk. DVD kosong. I was so afraid DVDs diorang terkena jugak so I texted orang yang I tinggalkan DVDs diorang tu nak mintak balik sbb nak check and that fella told me she picked the DVDs on the night she told me she's not free. Bullshit tak?

.. And I am reburning the DVDs. I pun tunggu remaining balance dr diorang. Takde bunyi. I malas nak update. But yet they texted me asking me about it agak harshly lebih2 lagi when I asked for the remaining balance.

Okaylah saya malas nak tulis. Tiba2 rasa tak worth it. Korang buat la judgement sendiri....

Saiful Nang - I'd say a pioneer dalam bidang photography nie pun pernah maki clients. Dulu saya cam pelik, dia tak takut ke orang bagi bad remarks kat dia... Tapi dia makin maju je. Takde masalah... Truth is clients yang bermasalah...

Expect nak yang terbaik konon. Cakap bila kahwin sanggup hire photographer sampai RM5000. RM 350 pun susah nak settle. Pastu menyakitkan hati orang. Tak logik sungguh...

.... Banyak dah gambar orang saya tangkap, pelbagai backgroud of people saya cater - engineer, doctor, orang India, orang Melayu... Takde masalah pun. Nampak sangat kamu tu bermasalah.

Truth is I was in Kelantan last September for a wedding job (which I’ll blog about it soon!) and at the same time taking the chance to de-stress and relax. ;)

I am not a rigid body. I am not a reprogrammable manipulator that you can manipulate so that I’ll behave like what you wanted me to behave. In short, I do not favor any control or restriction of another - as one wishes.

But I am a spontaneous, free-spirit, unplanned and also happening lady (cough) who hates routine or any conservative’s way of thinking as well as way of living. I don’t want to elaborate more on this. Let me just keep it to myself. All I can say is been there done that and I used to be one. But I had enough of it already.

I don’t care if people disagree with me. Afterall it is my life and I also believe that some things might work best for someone but it doesn’t work well/at all for someone else. I am not saying that living a routine life is bad it is just that it doesn’t fit me, it doesn’t work for me.

But all I want you to know is I want to be me and I want to be happy. I want to do things that I want, and be good at it – without exceed the limits (since I am a Muslim). And I want to be with someone whom I want to be with too! And have beautiful babies… :D (That’s the ultimate point by the way… Ehem!) ;)

It is so sad to see and listen to those who love to criticize someone else’s life as if they have a very super duper cool awesome perfect life to be compared with. When the truth is, they are actually lacking of one ultimate important element in their life called happiness. Believe me, those people don’t feel happy and content with their life at all that is why they love criticizing people. Pity them.

If you feel happy and content with your life, else doesn’t matter. You’ll just concentrate with what you have and will continuously living your life in best possible way.

Yes, that’s what I believe. And I want to be happy and content, always. :)

Just a short note here… For those who are thinking and planning to hire a photographer for their convocation day, I’d like to suggest you this: Do not hire a photographer to photograph you on the dot as in on the convocation day itself because you might end up with a so called everything-is-in-rush captures. Sebab after convo, kita akan sibuk with family, and kawan-kawan instead of the photographer. Parents dah lama and bosan tunggu, bersesak-sesak and confirm diorang nak balik cepat-cepat. Of cus you will rasa super duper gelisah, pastu will lead to rasa bengang. Rugi I tell you… It is better if you do it before or after the graduation day instead. Lebih relax, lebih santai… And best!

As I mentioned in my previous entry, I am so delighted that this couple hired me to photograph their big day!

... and I am feeling superbly happy to had the chance to shoot them at Seberang Takir too! I can't tell you how much I loved the place... The place is amazingly beautiful. I swear! ;) .. And I'd love to go to Seberang Takir again next time - I will surely will, insha Allah.

I know I know I know I’ve been neglecting this blog for a very long long lonnggggg time already. I was thinking and hoping to release more images throughout last Ramadhan unfortunately I was occupied with lotsaaaa things anddd… (cough) oh okay I couldn’t find any relevant excuses… ;p Truth is I am not in the mood. Just a quick update on what I've been up to lately. In fact I've so much thing to share but I am currently having this kind of sickness called 'writer's block' - unable to write, losses ideas... And blur. Blergh.
