Reader Portraits: Adam H. - This is crazy! Apparently Adam is going to ask out someone else I drew tonight. They will be watching Star Trek together and he wanted me to draw him asking her out. What do you use for shading? Ink wash?

I use Prismacolor Premier Art Markers. Usually “warm grey” starting at PB-99 and going up to “jet black.” They’re in most art supply stores I’ve been to. I also use pencils for shading and of course ink for line and texture.

Hey guys, can you help me? For years I’ve been posting photographs of my sketchbooks and it’s kinda become “my thing.” However, I sometimes worry the series could be better and reach more people if I scanned the comics/drawings/thoughts and made them look really nice. Can you take this tiny survey and let me know? Should I keep taking pictures, or should I move forward and try to make this better? Maybe a little of both?

Reader Portraits: Natalie - “I have this thing with my eyes, where they’re really light blue; but the outside of the iris, is almost black. They also go from being, light blue to turquoise to green, depending on the mood. I am colour blind, in each eye. Left eye is green/yellow tinted and the right eye is rosy tinted. I have the one dimple, just the one on the left, as seen really. Lastly, I can only write with my right hand, most other things I do, I can only do left handed such as guitar.”
