Hello,
Hey i don't know what i'm doing!! Been running sound module thru my electro 3, It was working, but when i hooked back up the nord works , but the module does not? Did notice
that the midi light is not lit on the nord? Any help would be great

For example, using the EXT functions of the Nord Stage, you could actually send a single program change out of the Set List program, which would recall a patch on the Nord, which itself would recall patches on two attached devices, so then sending out the one program change can actually change the sound on three devices!

Yes, I tried to get my setup to work just with the Stage's EXT section, but after I saw the additional things I could do with the setlist software (chord change notes, any things I have to remember about pedal settings) it was a no brainer. Plus, with the K&M iPad holder it fits perfectly below my mixer, so it's in previously useless space.

Just tried it out for the first time, and indeed the hold button does the trick! (Without using the arpeggiator, wasnt aware it is possible, since IIRC there is nothing on the manual). But playing just your one bar sample with the hold button on works like charm. Just tried it out with a sample of the famous "Apache" beat. (see the nsmp file, just need to add a silent wave on a key next to it to stop the beat (dont know yet how to assign single keys in the NS Sample Editor). 180kb for a playalong

Sounds like you're all set, but if you do want to use a pedal to advance to the next song/patch, the nice thing about the bluetooth pedals is that they are wireless, so that helps address the issue of too many things to connect together.

That's another clever solution! Sure, if you need to send two program changes for Song X, just create 2 Song X entries in your Set List, one with each of the two Program Changes you need, named accordingly, and call them up in sequence, very nice. It may require an extra screen tap or swipe or whatever, but it would still be pretty quick. Since no single app is perfect, that might be a very workable compromise, to get the other benefits of SLM if that's the "missing piece" from the Yamaha version that someone needs.

The Rev B is still considered to be the "Classic" rather than the Ex model.

Pianos are subject to individual tastes, but the Grand Imperial (Bosendorfer) is a favorite of many.

I believe that the String Resonance feature won't be available in the Classic, only the Ex and later models.

Can you change the pad's octave to match with piano octave?? Some pads are 1 oct lower than piano.

Not recently on either board. Global setting on the Korg is still on channel 16.
Maybe I'll upgrade the NS2 to the latest version and see if that sorts it.

Nord Stage Forum • Replacing faulty LCD screen - fixed!!

So I finally traded my nord electro in for a nord stage ex second hand, after eight years of dreaming about owning one, and it is amazing!!! It's only fauly was an LCD screen that didn't light up. I rang the distributor before purchase and he said replacing it wouldn't be a problem and would only cost £25.

So imagine my consternation when after disassembling the nord stage, replacing the LCD and reassembling it there are no lights, no power!!! After 2 hours of fiddlings around with ribbon connections I came downstairs to my wife a broken man.

A hour later I decided I'd have another go, cos there was no way I could afford to send it off to get fixed. As it turns out, I hadn't pushed the tiny ribbon connector on the LCD screen in hard enough. OMG, it's alive again. Phew!! The ribbon connector is really flimsy and a bugger to push in, particularly with my fat fingers.

So to replace the LCD screen.

1. Remove the screws from the wood end cheeks, the rear red panel and underneath the piano at the back.

2. Be careful when lifting off the lid as there are two ribbon connectors. Unclip these to seperate the top panel from the main keyboard.

3. Pull off the level and organ rotar drive rotary knobs.

4. Unscrew the electronic board that holds the LCD. Use long nose plyers to squeeze the plastic rivets that hold the LCD to the board.

5. Pull out the LCD from the ribbon connection and put in the new LCD. It is quite fiddlely job as the ribbon connector is flimsy and keeps buckling as you push it. Push it in so almost all the blue ribbon disappears. (That's where I went wrong!)

6. Reassemble. (Don't forget the plastic rivets!)

They are very reliable.
I've ordered all sort of stuff for my gear and everything was well taken care of. And delivery costs are low.

1. NS 88 Revision B -is actually Classic or EX ?
2. The latest OS version is enough to upload ?(which one ?) Or do I have to loud one after another ?
3. What piano programs ( and samples ) should I load to have the best available Grand for that old NS . ?

I like the Nord bag for the Electro. The outside pocket is too small for a decent quality expression pedal.

I thought the Noed Bag for my Stage Classic could have been a little better but was still pretty good.

Hey thanks for your quick answer! The saving of one setting pro one preset is not the problem.
If I want to play Reggea Organ with overlapping tones from the lower and upper
Manual in splitmode, I want to have the same Drawbar preset in each Manual.
But trying to make more than one Preset equal in its preset settings (both Manuals), one
of the Manual and its setting keeps staying in every other preset i made!

I am running 3.0.4 in my E3.
I have the memory protect off.
I adjust my organ settings & push save twice. after pushing save the first time you are given the ability to change the save location which will overwrite what is currently there.

In this price range anything less than perfect is unacceptable.

Have you tried initializing the synth section with "Sound Init"? That will set all of the envelope values back to normal. Hit "Sound Init", then move the synth type to SAMP and dial up the sample you want.

And does this happen with any factory programs that layer a synth on top of a piano?
