The ACT Government is assessing a developer application to rezone the community use Braddon Bowling Club site with a proposal to build a hotel, restaurant, bar, commercial accommodation and medium residential density residential accommodation. Inserting a 24 hour entertainment venue and approximately 150 additional accommodation units to the site will have significant impacts on the amenity of the surrounding area. The development will impact the current community uses such as the bowling and tennis clubs, the Ainslie Primary School and the residents living around the site. We are losing too many community social and recreation sites.

The Government needs to listen to the community and protect this valuable community use precinct. Please come along and show your support for the protection of this wonderful area.
