Is now really the time to buy?

This has to be the question I hear most often. And the answer is, Yes absolutely. Home prices are at their lowest (pre-2005 prices) and mortgage interest rates are low and look like they may be going lower. If you were to find a house today and lock in the current low mortgage rate by time you close in 45-60 days there is a good chance that rates may drop even further and you will be all set up to take advantage of the new lower rate. (Check out bankrate.com to see the experts comments. ) It's true, you do need a decent credit score and some money for a down payment but with an FHA loan it could be as little at 3.5% down payment. How long do you have to take advantage of this buyers market? Good question. I don't know. Some experts are predicting that if mortgage rates really do go as low as the 4% range, as is currently being speculated for the January time frame, than you could see the Spring Market turn into a sellers market. Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect home prices to go up dramatically but if we finally get that flood of buyers into the market that have been sitting on the side lines for the past 2 years it certainly will give the sellers some more options.

Warren County Farmers Fair

Warren County has so many wonderful things to offer its residents and visitors alike. This year I had the pleasure of getting to know what the 4-H has to offer. My daughter attended horse camp and had a fabulous experience. We are now looking forward to participating at the Warren County Farmers Fair. The fair is being held from July 27 - August 2, 2008 at the fairgrounds in Harmony Twp. You are sure to find lots of fun for the whole family. I am looking forward to the Hot Air Balloon Launch and hoping to get my picture taken with the famous RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon! You can even take a tethered balloon ride, weather permitting. There are many events for the whole family like horse shows, car show, activities in The Kids' Corral, lawn mower races, a heaviest vegetable contest, Elvis Impersonator, Beef & Steer Show, demolition derby, demonstrations by traditional artists, an animal exhibit barn, and so much more........Hope to see you there!

Mountain Lake, Liberty Township

A great community for people that like the outdoors is Mountain Lake in Liberty Township, Warren County. Mountain Lake is the largest natural glacial lake in Warren County. The Skylands Birding and Wildlife Trails has added Mountain Lake to the Pequest Hatchery Trail. You can also access one of the Jenny Jump State Park hiking trails from the lake area.

There are currently 12 homes available for sale in the lake area. They range in price from $145,900 to $319,000. Of course, I think the best deal is one of my listings.
