Slices are massive and athentic italian base style and almost a foot in length.Also The button messed up and rated C.S as a 10 rather than 100, but if it could rate higher I would put it at near 200, the staff are just so friendly and cheery that it's enough to make you want to come back later that day.Also open incredibly late, so it's easy to get a fix without having to wait for the next day. Had a long wait on a table despite having booked. Had to ask three times for a Wine menu. After 30 minutes eventually received the wine with no glass to drink it. Asked for a jug of water for my partner and was told I would have to order that from someone else. When the food eventually came it was terrible. Chicken with honey and chilli simply was lying in melted honey with a few chilli flakes - could nearly have made it myself. Partner's cantonese duck was so tough and dry it was virtually inedible, it had a few nuts lying around it with couple of spoonfuls of soy sauce on top. Rice portion was child's size. Chips were frozen oven chips. I used to go here often and loved it but boy has this place went downhill. I took my parents and my partner to the Stables on the 17/10/09 for a meal. We had the meal (noting special) and everything was fine until I received the bill. The food was reasonably priced at around �10 per main course but then I noticed the drinks bill - �15 for 5 soft drinks!!!!!To cut a not so long story short, my pint soda water and lime cost me �4.50! Unfortunately I had 2 pints (not knowing the price) which cost nearly a tenner! I queried the bill with the waitress who confirmed it was correct but then added that it was a disgrace. I asked to speak to the manager and was confronted by a obnoxious little man who tried to tell me that �4.50 was the going rate in he Bangor area! I'm not to sure what planet the 'little man' was from (maybe Mars) but where I come from (Oxford) you don't pay more than a quid, max.All I can say is, don't get ripped of by these money grabbing people, go somewhere else - DON'T GO!.
