Riders from all over the country met and competed in four events for product prizes and eternal glory. Although it was a competition, I think we’ll all remember it as just another kick-ass session with some great people.

The most impressive thing, to us, was the complete absence of negativity; we didn’t hear a single mean, judgmental, or otherwise nasty remark. Not one. Everyone was there to longboard and have a good time! Look at the photo; everyone is smiling!

To see photos from the event, join the Northern Pine Fan Page on Facebook and we’ll notify you when the photos are out of the oven; Steve took over 400 photos on Mike’s Awesome Camera and another 100 or so on his own — it might take a couple days to process them all.

Minnesota was represented by the following riders: Hunter Swanson, Joe Manoles, Mitchell Scudder, Mike Casey, Karl Kroll, Grant Forsythe, Collin Beavers, Burt Beavers, John Hall, Kevin Bucher, and Grant Yalch.

Among the other crews present were the C.O.O.L. (Club of Omaha Longboarders), the BC Longboard Crew (Oklahoma City), and a set of seriously skilled riders from Chicago.
