When it hit the market, we had a ton of buyers looking at it, and so within three days we had offers and had it under contract. In the same time we bought a house using NoVa Real Estate. They were great at showing us houses and were very patient with us in helping us figure out what we wanted versus what was on the market and what was in our price range. They were excellent in getting us what we needed! Our most recent move was a relocation across country and they were our listing agents. Because it was a relocation, it involved a very complicated process with lots of rules and regulations and NoVa did a great job with the complexities of dealing with a third party involved in our transaction. They made it easy for us because they basically represented us. So it was a tremendous benefit and it took a lot of the stress off of us. They went above and beyond when I used them five years ago to buy my first house and when I used them again for my second house. We had a total of four house transactions with them and they were all fabulous! In my first experience, my loan got messed up and Melana went above and beyond to find another type of loan at a similar place so she just always took care of everything and put my mind at ease. So, when we first moved to Northern Virginia, we were coming up here because of an amazing job opportunity for my husband. The worst possible thing happened, as the job fell through; my husband didn't have a job and it was just me and my teacher salary. Our initial adventure of looking for a home went to looking for a rental because we were in his parent's basement. Melana didn't even hesitate, she was so supportive in a time where we were just beside ourselves. We thought we had screwed up our lives big time. She just kept calm and found us a house that was in our new budget and it was great and we were very happy with the rental. Then, a year later, my husband got a great job and we were able to start looking for a home again, a home of our own. So then we started a new adventure and Melana was so patient. Northern Virginia is so expensive, especially from Charlotte, North Carolina, which is what we were used to. She helped us go through the motions of identifying our must-haves and she supported us. We then whittled down the list a bit and she seriously found us the most amazing house. Melana is wonderful. We really do think of her as a friend. We invited her over to our housewarming party, we've had her over for dinner -- she's just more than a Realtor. I don't think either of us could have made it through these unexpected twists and turns without her calm support. She's just amazing. She took us all over looking for houses to buy, then the plan changed to find houses to rent, and I know that's a huge commission change for her. We felt like we were wasting her time, but she was like, "No, you're never wasting my time!" My husband was working nights and I was working days, and she would show me the house when I could see it, and she would show him the house when he could see it. However, we did achieve within the bracket of price points that we were looking for our house. And we achieved it within a relatively aggressive time frame. In addition to achieving what I consider really strong results, the price and time are usually the two elements you have to play with really, in addition to any work you've done on the home, I would say we got strong results. Equally important to my wife and I, we were kept abreast of the process as we were going through it. Mike and Melana just did an exceptional job of keeping us aware and aligned with what's going on and what they were doing for us and what was happening with our sale. I would say the overall experience was just kind of exceptional in our minds. We've moved maybe eight or nine times in our lifetime as a married couple, so we've bought and sold a number of homes through the years. The personal care and focus on what our needs were and the tailoring of their approach to help us meet our needs, and by always informing us about the process and where we were at in the process, all of this was exceptional. All the little things add up; the phone call with a brief update of what was going on, even though it wasn't required of them, things like that, those personal touch points, made it a really exceptional experience overall. We couldn't speak highly enough of the personal care combined with the results we got working with Mike and Melana."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
