Grace Boudreau

Grace Elizabeth Boudreau was born August 15, 1909, in Erin Township, Rice County, to William and Clemence (Perron) Garrity. After her mother’s death when Grace was 3, she lived with relatives and attended school in Eagan Township. After her education she worked at Shattuck School in Faribault. She married Louis R. Boudreau on January 6, 1931, at Immaculate Conception Chapel in Faribault. After marriage they farmed on their farm north of Northfield. In January 1960, on a trip for their 29th Wedding Anniversary to visit relatives in California, Louis passed away unexpectedly.

Grace Boudreau, age 99 of Northfield, passed away Saturday morning, July 18, 2009, at the Northfield Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the Church of St. Dominic in Northfield. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Northfield. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral.

Wayne A. Becker, age 66 of Northfield, died Sunday evening, July 12, 2009, at the Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center. He was born in Luxemburg, Minnesota, on January 13, 1943, to Art and Veronica Becker. He served 2 years in the Navy and was a truck driver for 38 years. Wayne worked hard all his life and never complained. He loved to hunt, fish, sports and spending time with his family.

Herold Marquardt

Herold Howard Marquardt was born February 5, 1916, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to George and Mary (Yenter) Marquardt. He was raised on the family farm, was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Battle Creek, and graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1932. He married Esther Marie Fundum on October 15, 1935, at St. John’s Lutheran. After marriage they farmed Battle Creek and Meadow Grove, and later near Tilden. In 1947, they moved to Minnesota and farmed near Dundas. They farmed until 1975, when they sold and moved to their home in Northfield. Herold then worked for B&G Implement in Dundas.

Donna Malecha, age 61 of Lonsdale, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday evening, July 4, 2009, at the Northfield Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Christiania Lutheran Church in rural Lakeville with Rev. Diane Goulson officiating. Interment will be in East Christiania Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral.
