Right? Yesterday was such a blissful day. We were pampered, cherished, and catered to, only to have it all whisked away first thing today with the rush of Monday morning chaos. Well, I’m here to proclaim that here at our studio, everyday will be Mother’s Day from now on. I promise to make you feel cherished and beautiful and worthy of loads of attention. Speaking of beautiful, just take a look at this Mommy with her two little angels. We had so much fun during our session. There was singing, dancing, cuddling, and a whole lot of giggling.

I’m a minimalist at heart. It’s so hard to be sometimes with 4 kids, but clutter just bothers me, so I try. This is probably why I’m not big on props or extravagant sets. Quite simply, I feel they steal the attention away from what truly matters. The sparkling eyes, the creamy skin tones, the whispy hair, the curly toes, all things magical in a child. Next time you want to capture your child, just place them by an open window where their faces are bathed in sunlight, turn off the flash on your camera and shoot away. Get up close and take them in, for this time is fleeting, trust me. I leave you with simple images of the ever-sophisticated Olivia.

With the approach of summer comes an explosion of color! Whip out your colored jeans, flutter tops, or bikinis and take advantage of this beautiful backdrop for a limited time only! For the next 3 Saturdays, we will be having mini sessions in our studio (so weather won’t be a problem ). $125 fee includes a 20-minute session, 3 fully-edited digital files, all images displayed in an online gallery, 10% discount on our boutique items (storyboards, canvas prints, albums). Limited to 3 children per session ($25 each extra child/ 6 max.) and no outfit changes. Children must be able to sit unassisted. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to avoid being late and missing your session. You can bring props of your own, but know that we have our own. Summer’s knocking…

and it can’t get here any faster for me!!! I long for lazy days on the beach (Siesta Key to be exact) and days where my girls can enjoy some water fun! Along with summer comes my love of bright and bold colors so brace yourself for the next few posts. They’ll be vibrant! I’m also in the mood to have a summer-themed mini session so stay tuned for details on that. 18 days new and over 9 pounds of deliciousness! He is the second baby boy of a very dear friend. I absolutely LOVE his pouty lips (a trait that runs strong in Mommy’s side of the family). I can’t wait to photograph the whole family next week. You’ll get to meet Gavin’s big brother, Aiden!

That’s what you get when you meet Mia and Luca, double the giggles and fun! They were born a few days before my Ava and are at such a delicious age. I even had a chance to capture a few with big sis Valentina who I’ve been photographing since birth as well. I love that I’ve been able to watch this family grow and see how beautiful these babies are becoming!!!

It’s not uncommon for babies between 10 months and 2 years to develop a strong fear of the big, bad studio light. Sometimes, they are fascinated by it, but I always look for signs of anxiety and it just so happens that my light was no friend of Mr. Aidan Parker. As soon as we went to a nearby park, he was all smiles. Nothing like a little fresh air, sunlight, and kids at play to scare the light demons away.

Any of you ever watch that show that was on a few years back, “Dinosaurs”? It was about a family of dinosaurs where the little baby dino called the Daddy, “Not-the-mama”. Anytime one of my girls had major “mamitis” (like we Cubans like to say), my husband pouts and starts chanting “not the mama, not the mama, not the mama!”. It’s a running joke in our home especially since all of my girls have a special liking to their mama. Well, I was reminded of this during my session with this family. Mr. Joshua is absolutely in love with his mama. And the feeling is mutual. I’ve so been enjoying photographing families lately!

I have to say I’m quite smitten with Mr. Anthony. He’s a mini Zac Efron and anybody who knows me, knows that’s a good thing (pay no mind to our age differences ). Every time I would edit one of these, I kept telling myself if I’m captivated by his stare, imagine his Mommy! Oh Ana, you are in for it! I love to watch a mom fuss over her baby boy and Ana perfected the task. No detail went unnoticed. We’re going to have to sit down sometime soon and discuss our plans for our children’s arranged marriages. I loved that I was able to catch up with a good friend from my days as a teacher and I’m grateful to Facebook that we still know so much about each others’ lives.
