Apologies as i’ve become very slack with posting NAMP images over the past month or so. In turn this has lead to the decision that as much as I still and will always love not a movie posters I don’t have the inclination to keep the blog and have other work and sites I need to pay more attention too.

Speaking of which, on the 5th of May Ultra Culture Cinema opens its doors at the ICA for the first time with a preview of said film. They say they’re planning lots of fun bits and bobs for the night and that boring people aren’t welcome. So if (unlike me) you’re in London on May 5th then you should pop along.

Schindler’s List | Rejected

This is easily the oldest rejected design NAMP’s featured to date. Despite how impactful the final design was, Its hard to imagine a design this affecting and abstract would ever have made the final selection.

Its not too far off the final design, but I think the white is more forgiving than the black they’ve gone with. Would also have expected some more outlandish designs for the film, but then I guess Rescue Dawn’s poster wasn’t that ground breaking either. Its not often I can say with these posts that it was in fact me who rejected the presented design, but this is indeed one of those times. So any grumbles about the actual My Winnipeg UK quad should be squarely aimed at myself.

It’s a Wonderful Life | Re-imagined

I was fully intending on posting a different re-imagined design today. Another one of the retro looking, simplistic designs making a detailed in-film reference. Then I began to realise, I’m actually getting a bit tired of seeing these and the novelty is wearing off. Don’t get me wrong, I like them and think the designers are talented, but I want some diversity.

So instead here is one I applaud for bucking the trend and was not the film poster for Its a Wonderful Life
