A simple but classy design sent in by Josh Bradshaw which happens to be (as far as I know) our first deck designed and built in Google Presentations. We’re slightly biased around here towards Cupertino products but it is good to see that other options are out there that can be utilized for any level and budget.

Presentation developed for in-house purposes to convince upper management of their need for iPads. We’re convinced.

“A Look Behind the Design Process” by Todd Zaki Warfel, the Principle Designer at messgefirst, is a nice view into the different ways we all conduct our design process from sketch to final web-product.

I love the green color scheme of this one as well as the nice bold type. Any ideas as to what the typeface is?

“My Design for Change presentation for NXNE Interactive, right around the time of the BP oil spill in the Gulf. The slides were reworked to focus on an illustration I did based on that disaster.”

Nice custom illustrations to carry the theme throughout in this presentation by Patrick Haney. Quite a few screenshots but I’m guessing in context of the actual presentation they worked. In light of some other design related conversations this week, it’s also refreshing to see a designer looking for feedback to always strive for the better.

A presentation by Nina Khosla & Doug Tarlow that attempts to explain the design process and its relationship with technology.

The stark-white background wouldn’t have been my first choice on this presentation but I am a fan of the Chunk Five font choice for viewing from a distance and I really dig the way they highlight each step of the process along the way. It helps to keep the user informed at all times of what they are discussing. And for me personally, it works almost as a countdown clock to when I can expect to each lunch.

It’s standard practice to check in with N&P alum Helge Tenne anymore for us around here. The man turns out quality work across a wide spectrum of subjects including this foray into retail.

As is the norm, each of his slides are custom art-directed layouts and should be inspiration to all for that alone. I will admit though that this can be overkill as well if not handled well.

Tony Yoo’s “Creative thinking” slide deck really covers the checklist of an effective presentation. Great content, nice artwork, beautiful typography, and simple slides which work on their own, or with an accompanying lecture. Definitely an example to draw from and strive for.
