We are excited to welcome PeggyAnn McConnochie to Zolve. PeggyAnn McConnochie became a REALTOR® in 1982 as residential agent. After becoming the area’s top REALTOR® and getting her Broker’s license, she purchased the brokerage for which she worked in 1986. She grew the company into an even more successful full service residential, property management, and commercial firm. In 1996, PeggyAnn was asked to develop and teach the various required education classes in Alaska. As her career as an educator and real estate coach grew, she sold the residential and property management portions of the business and started to teach in the Lower 48 as well as overseas (PeggyAnn will be going to Vietnam in August on behalf of IRPF – International Real Property Foundation).

PeggyAnn adds a unique practical perspective to her courses and her coaching where she also works with many owners of brokerage companies helping them teach their agents the ABCs of becoming successful. For more information on her seminars go to: http://achconsulting.com/general_education_and_seminar_offerings.htm.
Actually, we designed them for two different purposes. It is up to you but your blog is designed as a fully customizable customer-generation tool. Blogging about local real estate matters is a proven way to generate customers at no cost other than your time. The forums are designed as a place for us to talk to each other and collaborate as real estate professionals. Find out about tools and technology that other professionals are using or have tried, get inspired, or learn from some of the best at what they do.

Connect Conference so far that we're excited to implement into our Zolve blogs is video. There are strong feelings --
and significant evidence -- that video is the next major form of online
real estate blogging media. One statistic we heard suggests 30% of all
online media will be video by 201; this was in a workshop called "Real
Estate Digitalis: TV, Internet and Real Estate - What it Means for
Consumers." The basic gist of this workshop was the idea that video is
"the face of the digital age," and we need to be mindful of its power
to attract eyes and ears.

Many of you -- like Michael Price -- are already proficient in video, and that is great! Others may be as knowledgeable as we were when we showed up here in NYC, so as we learn we will help you learn, too!

The conference ends Friday at around 11:30, and we are excited for
its last day. We have been working hard and learning much, but tonight
we are going to relax, go out into the city for dinner, and catch a
movie later on. Looking forward to bringing you great things!

The Zolve Team // Zolve Real Estate Network

Inman Connect, Day 1.5

Hi everyone!

We're here blogging live from the Inman Connect Conference in New York City! We've been looking forward to this for a while, and we are finally here. Yesterday we arrived in NYC around 5 p.m. ET, caught a cab to the hotel and headed over to the Beer with Bloggers dinner, which was great because we got to see some old friends, catch up with them, and make new connections. Last night was great!

This morning the conference officially began. We started at 9 this morning and have been attending seminars and workshops, listening to panels and enjoying NYC. We have heard from some of the great minds in real estate and real estate technology, and we have a lot of great information we are excited to share with you in the coming days. There are a lot of new and exciting ideas to share, and a lot more to learn!

The Zolve Team // Zolve Real Estate Network

Impression Management

The New York Times
recently ran a very interesting article
about "impression management," which is the idea that as people we "shape our
behavior or tweak our appearance in an attempt to control how others perceive
us." In this case the impression management is relative to online profiles,
social networking sites, dating sites, etc. The article
is very interesting and worth reading because it reveals some of the inherent
tendencies we have, and we thought it was worth sharing because we are in such
an online network.

The essential question we need to consider is this: if we
met in person the real estate professionals we've met online, would there be
much difference between online portrayals and reality? There would certainly be
some things we were unable to anticipate and therefore must imagine – things
like voice, mannerisms and personality quirks – that would differ in reality.
But how we portray ourselves through photos, descriptions, blogs and writing,
we should be proud of who we are and portray ourselves accurately. Just some
food for thought.

is a breath of fresh air in today's market. She always seems to be upbeat and
optimistic in spite of what the market is experiencing. While "goal setting"
may be an overly used phrase this time of year, we think Bernice's simplified list of six solid
goal-setting strategies is worth sharing. Her tips start with getting rid
of last year's goal list – burn it, bury it or rip it up. And the rest of her
advice focuses on realistic, specific steps to take to form consistency and
produce results – all without feeling guilty and stressed. So whether business
or personal goals, Bernice's strategies will help you take on a little less
while ultimately accomplishing a lot more. Thanks Bernice!
