The main Chernobyl Diaries plot conspires to disclise the truth about the Russian government research and testing facilities conducting experiments on former Chernobyl works now identified as zombies.

Viewers go along for the ride, later discovering the extreme trip is a government conspiracy. Avoid reading further unless you already watched Chernobyl Diaries.

In 1986, Chernobyl Reactor #4 exploded. Thus the nuclear power plant released radioactive particles into the atmosphere, affecting Russia and Eastern Europe. It is your typical doomsday scenario unfolding in real life.

Chernobyl Diaries is the latest nuclear film that relives the post-nuclear disaster. Seven people enter Prypiat, the city which Chernobyl workers lived, and never leave alive. The conspiracy movie enveloped multiple genres to make the plot work.

Chernobyl victims suffered from radiation that transformed them into zombie creatures. It is plausible to believe that radiation can mutate human cells. As shown in Chernobyl Diaries, former victims are now flesh-eating zombies. Chernobyl Diaries is definitely an awesome movie concept. It is a high concept that capitalizes on the nuclear disaster.

The twist ending reveals a government coverup to hide the zombies. Researchers conducted experiments on the Chernobyl victims, eventually discovering that extreme nuclear exposure causes cell mutation. As a result, humans exposed to high level of radioactive particles transform into zombies.

Chernobyl Diaries ending: Paul and Amanda unknowingly travel down an underground corridor to Reactor #4. Uri warned the group to avoid Chernobyl since humans need special protective gear to withstand the high radiation levels. Paul's eyes burn because the radiation levels are unsafe. Nuclear radiation levels can remain high, even after 26 years.

The zombie creatures are former Prypiat victims who stayed behind. Nuclear radiation mutated their cells to turn them into flesh-eating zombie creatures. Russian researchers and the government part of the top secret coverup. Even so, the Russian military are fully aware that zombies live in Prypiat.

Uri may have known ahead of time that zombies are present in the fallout city because he kicked burning wood to the side. He wanted to leave as soon as possible. We are not convinced the dead body in the kitchen is his. Why would Uri endanger his life? Is Chernobyl Diaries another Hostel movie? Did Uri lead his group into a trap?

Researchers throw Amanda in the zombie infested room to dispose of her secret. She knows about the zombies and experiments. The best way to get rid of evidence is to keep the conspiracy under the wrap. Any person visiting Reactor #4 without the proper protection will get exposed to high levels of radiation.

We can explain the movie more in the future to determine whether the radiation itself caused the humans to mutate, or if the government conducted experiments on the survivors to mutate their cells. Chernobyl Diaries is an interesting movie with a good plot twist.
