Anak2 especially Izzat dah bising .. dah lama ummi tak buat cookies. Izzat teringin nak makan. So godek2 emm bahan2 semua cukup. Ajak Nuha tolong buat cookies, laju je dia. Sampai nak solat zohor pun dia bising .... "ummi kata nak buat tutis (cookies/pelat kan), cepatlah ummi, NYA nak makan tutis, NYA dah lapar ni" (betapa jauh bezanya nama Nuha dan NYA, NYA adalah panggilan namanya sendiri ikut pelat dia). Even Izzat pun bising kata lapar padahal baru pukul 2.30pm, kira baru lepas makan nasi. Dia kata dia lapar cookies.

1st batch, fresh from the oven, pantang sejuk sikit, ngap-ngap....ta da tinggal 2 ketul dari 35 ketul sebelumnya. Lepas tu bising ... sedap ummi, emm sedap kukis ummi masak.

Ini adalah resepi dari Chef Fauziah bersama petua2 dan cara2 bagi kukis ni nampak cantik dan tentu sekali sedap. Now alhamdullilah, tak malu bertanya .... dah tau how to bake/make crispy/crunchy cookies and the very best ingredients. Insyallah, dah boleh amik order untuk raya nanti. Kali ni dah tahu mcmana nak kekalkan kecrunchyan nya ... raya lepas cepat betul lembut (tak crunchy) bila the cookies simpan lama skit ie seminggu dua.

Ini pulak our lauk for lunch, simple tapi also kids say sedap ummi masak coz ade air asam n keli bakar + keli sambal (fav. Ismat).

Air asam, bahan2 : cabai burung, belacan, bunga kantan skit, all blend hancur, potong dadu tomato & bawang, masukan air asam jawe, skit gula + garam ... emm sedap nye !!!

Bayam masak lemak putih. Campak2 je bahan2 dia.

Keli sambal, dlm gambor ni tinggal 2 ketul je kepala n ekor save for dinner.Itu pun sambal dia masih berbaki, nak guna time masak nasi goreng pagi esok for bekalan sekolah anak.

Tembikai yang tak manis pun ... bukan makan lepas nasi, makan time anak2 tak sabor nak tunggu lauk yg lain masak.Lagi pun sunnah nabi, makan buah sebelum makan heavy (kira nasi letu utk kita org melayu ni).

Attended this class end-May10. Cikgunya Chef Fauziah. Learned about 10 cookies. Insyaallah, with her guide and her huge knowledge about how to bake the cookies effectively ... I will do at my best. Maklum le bulan puasa dah nak dekat, its time to do a cookies sample for customer to order their kuih raya.

Orang yang ada oven besar boleh le buat banyak2 sekali masak ... berbaloi.

Tada ... dah pakai baju kilat rainbow lagi ... sila abaikan yang comot2 tu coz belum habis touch up aka "alter" lagi. Dah masuk dlm its box, then will "shave" those yg serabut tu.Chocolate topping + cappuccino.

Sekolah Rendah Agama Sri Al Ummah will be organising their Teacher's Day tomorrow, 21.5.10. Hidayat has his own pot luck ie Carrot Cake. Last Monday, went back from school straight called me and ask whether I can cook any cake for him to bring to school. Since all stocks (carrot cake's stuff) are all in my fridge, so .... just now I have made one for him.

Topping is cream cheese, plan to do spider web, but with wrong technical, see .... so messy. Failed lah !

I have tested the onion cut into 2 and put it in the bowl for overnight when Nuha & me having a bad flu last 2 weeks, but tak de pa pe pun !!!

A friend of mine told me a story about when he was a kid he was in the hospital & nearly dying. His Italian grandmother came to the hospital & told a family member to go buy her a large onion & a new pair of white cotton socks. She sliced the onion open then put a slice on the bottom of each of his feet & put the white cotton socks on him. In the morning when he awoke they removed the socks. The slices of onion were black & his fever was gone. The following story that someone sent to me might have some truth in it & we are going to try it this winter.

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu.. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.

Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. It must work.. (And no, she is not in the onion business.)

The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.

I contracted pneumonia and needless to say I was very ill...I came across an article that said to cut both ends off an onion put one end on a fork and then place the forked end into an empty jar...placing the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the onion would be black in the morning from the germs...sure enough it happened just like that...the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.

Another thing I read in the article was that onions and garlic placed around the room saved many from the black plague years ago. They have powerful antibacterial, antiseptic properties.

But, energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology, in Austria, found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps.

Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs.

The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It, also, neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Easy Butter cake aka pound cake recipe

Its very2 easy. Can do everyday & takes only 10 mins preparation.
250 butter (prefer Achor brd - salted)
250 sugar
4 eggs (A size)
250 self raising flour
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
Add flour and lastly vanilla.
Beat until just incorporated. Do not overmix
Bake about 30-45mins (depending on your oven)

Received -ve comments from Etty & Kak Cida, choc chip no soo crunchy. Entah apa salah resepi. dlm byk2 tu ade gak yg terlari kesedapannya.

Apa2 pun +ve or -ve comments, I really appreciated it for my further action. Learn sooo much from my first experienced of selling online kuih raya. Paling tak berbaloi bila pos thru pos laju kena charge RM25.++. Tapi tak pe, itu semua terlalu BERHARGA bagi saya budak baru belajar.
