New DNS server added!

A new name server at ns4.nullshells.net has been added. Our DNS network now has improved availability and this increases the reliability of all of our services.

Website Migrated

We have migrated our web page and databases to a new server, separate from customer web hosting. We hope to ensure greater reliability and speed when accessing our web page for our customers, as well as maintain the current high performance on our web hosting server.

Accepting ProSpeeds Refugees

NullShells Networks will pricematch any refugees coming from ProSpeeds Communications during the month of October. We are aware that ProSpeeds has announced that their Shell and IRCD server will no longer be available as of today. We empathize with customers from ProSpeeds and are happy to accommodate them since ProSpeeds has recently shutdown. For price matching refugees will need to email our billing department.

Server Upgrades

NullShells Networks has recently upgraded it's free shell server! It now has more than 2x the previous capacity and speed, we are confident this will offer our free shell users improved reliability and performance now and into the future.

New Server

A new name server server at ns3.nullshells.net has been added. Our DNS network is now geographically redundant and the availability of DNS for all of our services has been improved.

DNS Server Moved

We have moved our DNS server at ns2.nullshells.net to a separate machine to improve redundancy and availability of DNS on all of our services. During this move ns1.nullshells.net continued to answer queries so no downtime was experienced on our services.

Free Shell Policy

We have changed our policies and removed the minimum 7 day waiting period for free shell account approval. NullShells Networks appreciates that our community uses our services legally and ethically. We are dedicated to continuing to improve as a free shell provider, as we offer continue free shell services to users around the world.

New Server!

NullShells Networks has added a new server specifically for free shell users. We are dedicated to continuing to be a free shell provider, and offering these services to users around the world. All free shell accounts have been migrated to this new server. We are grateful to have the resources to offer a separate server specifically designed for our free shell users. Unfortunately, due to the costs involved, free shell accounts are still unable to access IRC.

Server Upgrades

NullShells Networks has recently upgraded it's web hosting server! It now has more than 2x the previous capacity and speed, we are confident this will offer our users an improved experience with greater stability. We've also added additional virtual hosts for our irc users on our irc shell servers. With our increased growth in the future we will continue adding additional virtual hosts.

New Support System

NullShells Networks now has a new support system! In our new system our team can better track your support inquiries and ensure that they get answered on a timely basis.

Account Registrations

Any registrations still left from the old system must be re-entered into the new system. Your first invoice will be credited, you must include your transaction ID in the additional notes section. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding.

New Billing System

NullShells Networks has migrated users over to the new billing system. Delayed registrations due to this migration will be processed and billing will begin on the day your account is created.

Unfortunately we have had to remove our DDoS protected shell server in Washington, DC. All users on this server have been migrated to Chicago, IL.

Our mail server has moved to a new machine, and webmail access is now available upon request.

Account Request system re-integrated

The Account Request system has been integrated into the new site. Our new account management system is now in the works.

The Account Request system had downtime. If you made a donation and submitted a request, but did not receive a response then please resubmit your request.

We lowered our award levels!

We had such a positive response from our summer special that we lowered our award levels. We also upgraded our professional account features with those of the summer special, cutting the price of our professional account in less than half.
