1950's sunglasses

I opened a Vintage handbag to find a selection of 1950's sun glasses. If I designed sunglasses, they would be a great inspiration, the colours and the material finishes on the frames are fabulous.

I changed our shop window today. This is the 1950s dress I used to wear, I collected Vintage and wore them back in the days (Paula Yates era) when I did my Fashion Degree, it now it is time to part with them. This was my favourite in black cotton with turquoise printed hydernagia's it has a stiff petticoat underneath to give it shape. The 1950s necklines were so flattering. My Mother (Happy Birthday) is busy laundering my dressing up box ...more to follow!

Lime-Washed Shed Antler Chandelier

Lime-Washed Shed Antler Chandelier will be taken to our Kilver Court show room this afternoon. It was tempting to keep this one as it works beautifully with our lime-washed floor, in the stair well of our hall . We gave this a lime-washed finish for a Scandinavian look. The antlers have been naturally shed and not easy to find. It can be hung by the chain or attached to a ring close to the antlers.

Industrial Lighting - Re-purposed

Wayne has been busy re-purposing some 'large' industrial whisks
to make a pair of 'one off' ceiling lights. Fabulous in a kitchen or restaurant.

We have sold many of our lights to restaurants, including antler chandeliers

and table lamps made from propeller blades.

Bleached Wood Hand-Crafted Bench

A large old and very piece of timber has been in our warehouse for many years. The time has come to create something beautiful and the trend for preserving timber in its natural form has inspired us to create a bench.

Wayne belt sanded the surface of a very old and thick piece of elm, followed by a hand sanding to a smooth finish.The wood has a lovely natural bleached colour with natural curvature through the sides.

The depth of the wood top is 10cm thick (4") the base has been constructed from reclaimed timber to support the heavy top.

The wood has been treated and finished for outdoor use. It would also work well inside with a lime washed table combined with chairs.
