“Gopal Kanda is a playboy who loves to be surrounded by beautiful and sexy ladies”, says Nupur in a statement.

She said that Kanda always employed beautiful women in his airlines and casino. In an interview she said, “The airlines recruited around 63 employees on the Day one and interestingly there were 60 female employees on the day when it closed.”

She also accuses Aruna Chaddha, Kanda’s manager, of supplying these kinds of women to him. Aruna made sure that the girls to be hired must be sexy and according to the demands of Gopal Kanda.

Nupur also claims that Kanda has relations with many women and is a truly womanizer. Nupur says, “Out of Kanda’s 39 companies, 20 have ladies at the top-most posts. I recruited Geetika Sharma in 2007 when she was just 17. Kanda was closely monitoring her interview on CCTV camera. Soon after the interview was over, he called her in his cabin and appointed her on the post of Trainee Cabin Crew.”

She added, “With time, Geetika fell into Kanda’s trap and became close to him. Kanda had illicit relationships with many of his employees. One proof of his illicit relation is Ankita Singh, who also has a child with him. In 2010, due to the shutdown of MDLR airlines, Geetika left the company and joined Emirates. This made Kanda possessive about her,” Nupur revealed.

Nupur Mehta to be grilled by Police in Geetika Sharma Suicide Case

Earlier in 2009 Geetika had lodged a complaint with police officials in Panaji that Nupur and Ankita Singh, managers of casino operation, had stolen her laptop and other belongings from the hotel room.

Now when the mails of Geetika have been tracked that states harassment by Gopal and Aruna Chaddha , Nupur may be interrogated by police soon.

A police official confirms, “Nupur’s question is important because Geetika was being forced to withdraw the case against her and Ankita. Ankita is the woman who is suspected to have been close to Kanda. The two women are not directly involved in the case, but can shed light and help us connect some missing links.”

Anikta is currently in Singapore as per police. They are also questioning an employee of MDLR group, Shiv Roop HR assistant who was allegedly involved in sending fraudulent mails to Geetika after creating a fake email address, as a ‘suspect’ in the case.
The police sources said that Ankita is currently in Singapore.

“So far Shiv Roop has not been arrested. He is a suspect in the case. We are investigating his role,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Dr P Karunakaran stated.

We guess, Nupur has now landed in new trouble after match fixing controversy.

Conforming to her words, Nupur has now decided to file defamation suit of Rs.10 crore against the newspaper. She was miffed that the newspaper never bothered to take her version of the story into account.

However Nupur still says that she had met Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan in 2009 in a casino during the T20 World Cup. But she has nothing to do with the match fixing case, she claims.

“They asked me about my relation with Dilshan to which I said it was over a long time back as he was a pauper and blamed his board for nonpayment. My relation with Yuvraj (Singh) or Virat (Kohli) to which I said no comments and about my movie offers – I have offers in hand and want to think about it as I am in no hurry but will be signing the right movies suiting to my character. U will be soon seeing me in some reality shows,” says Nupur.

Gaurang Kanth, the lawyer of Nupur Mehta, reveals the course of action and incidences as and when they occurred.

“The legal brief is ready on the basis of which a notice will be sent tomorrow to The Sunday Times London tabloid… case will go in the court after their reply comes fromLondon, claiming for Rs 10 crore for defamation. The amount can be increased after the strength in the legal proceedings in the court of law. Another case is filed by lawyer Mr. Saini inLondonin the civil court of UK,” informs Kanth.

We hear that Nupur has plans to produce her own Bollywood movie with the money she extracts from the defamation suit.

Nupur Mehta Questioned by ICC

Her name cropped in the controversy when a UK based daily published her picture and accused her of being used a ‘honeytrap’ to get the India- Pakistan semi- final match in the Cricket world Cup series. The newspaper went out to do a sting operation on a Delhi based bookie for investigating the allegations of match fixing during the 2011 ICC World cup, and particularly the Indo-Pak series in Mohali.

Nupur was then reported of being a prime suspect in match fixing controversy to lure the cricketers. Now when she has been questioned by the ICC officer, she told the media on Monday, “I was quizzed by an ICC official for over two hours and the ICC representative went away satisfied.”

When she was asked names of the cricketers she socializes with, she listed her friends’ name Yuvraj Singh, Parthiv Patel and Ishant Sharma.

Earlier reports also suggested that she and Sri Lankan cricketer Dilshan had dated each other.

Some astrologers had already predicted that Nupur Mehta will become a household name for all Indian families like Sunny Leone. She shot to an instant fame when her morphed picture was spread across the internet and UK based newspaper ‘Sunday Times’, alleging her of match fixing.

Reports suggested that she was used to lure cricketers for match fixing. If rumors are to believe Nupur Mehta has been approached become one of the contenders for the next season of ‘Bigg Boss 6’. Also reports say that Mahesh Bhatt has offered her a pivotal role in his next movie.

Bigg Boss is popular for being controversial show on Indian television channel. It seems that Nupur Mehta has become the pick of the season.

Nupur Mehta to sue Sunday Times for Rs. 10 Crores

Her lawyer has confirmed, “We will be sending a legal notice to the newspaper, and see what kind of response we get. We will then be moving ahead and filing for civil and criminal defamation within a fortnight.” He also confirmed that he will be demanding Rs. 10 Crores from the Sunday Times over defamation of his client.

Not only match fixing controversy but her claims of dating Dilshan during the T20 matches in 2009 have also shot amazement all around. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has though rubbished the claims of Nupur yet she stands firm with her statement.

“I rubbish all the statements of Sri Lankan board and Dilshan. The ‘Sunday Times’ had also written that I was seen out with Dilshan. I never lied against Dilshan. ‘Sunday Times’ made a point that I was dating him, so I had to clarify. Otherwise, I believe in no-name policy,” says Nupur.

When she was asked to name Indian cricketers if any who were involved in the match fixing against Pakistan she retorted saying, “Please don’t drag the Indian cricketers into it. I have nothing to say on this.”

She also says that it has nothing to do with publicity stunt. For her it is a serious matter. “It’s not really a publicity stunt, it’s such a serious matter. We are bold and confident people but that does not mean we are emotionless. Have you ever realized the kind of trauma I had been going through? I have been getting calls from all over the world, including friends from cricket playing nations like Australia, New Zealand and Canada. So many friends have boycotted me. I am not going to sit back quietly,” an angry Nupur fumes.

Her lawyer on the other hand is confident of his client. He says, “These are strong allegations against my client and they are not true. It has caused a lot of anguish to my client and his family members. People could easily identify the picture and she was left with no option.”

He further adds, “These serious allegations and can lead to many complications. We are fortunate enough that the various investigative agencies have not sent her a note. We want to put our case very strongly against the newspaper for publishing the article without taking her version.”

Nupur Mehta’s parents disown her

An Indian newspaper also claimed that ever since the controversy of match fixing has surfaced Nupur Mehta’s parents have refused to acknowledge her as their daughter. Whatever it is but Nupur Mehta has risen to an overnight fame due to this controversy. No wonders her kitty is full of offers.

She also confirms, “I have been getting a lot of offers from Bollywood as well as reality shows. But I will decide only after I am done with case.”

Dilshan Owes me £800 - Nupur Mehta

Her claims of dating the Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan just came as a shock to everyone. Earlier when people were speculating her involvement in the match fixing were further confused with her claims of dating Dilshan. Initially she maintained that she did not know any international cricketer and later she claimed to have dated Dilshan. Clarifying the contradictory statements she told to a Television channel

When I was first asked about knowing a cricketer or not, it was very clear from the media if you know any cricketer involved in the scam or the scandal or match-fixing. My answer to that, even today, is that I don’t know any cricketer from the scandal.

But has she not dated Dilshan and she replies

Questions on my personal life had not risen and if the media would have asked me if I am friendly to any cricketer personally, or dating anybody, I would have come up with this.

She further said that she is not dating any cricketer at present. She says

I am not dating any cricketer right now. My name was being linked to Tillakaratne Dilshan of the Sri Lankan team and this revelation also came from the London tabloid Sunday Times. They said that I was seen around with him in a casino.

However she remains constant with her claims that she had dated Dilshan. During T20 matches they both were seeing each other as per Nupur’s claims. “Yes that is right. That was during the 2009 T20 World Cup held in London where I met him for the first time,” she confirms.

As a proof of dating him she says that she spent as much as 800 pounds on Dilshan when they both were in the London club. When she was asked if she paid Dilshan’s bills as he was seen the fixers and was under scanner of ICC that year, she denies and says

I am clueless about who he was seen with and the scanner, but yes in the discotheque you go, you are with friends, everybody offers you a drink, it is very normal and common.

She says that Dilshan has told about the petty condition of Sri Lankan Cricket Board where the players are not given money for any leisure. Nupur reveals

I wasn’t a honey trap. I got into a money trap. He was telling me that his Sri Lankan Board don’t give money. Even to make a phone-call, to buy a drink or go around the city. If that board says that my statements are false and they stick by the players, my question to them is who speaks about the board in front of other people. ”

She says that she will not comment in media on the issue of cricketers being used for fixing. She has a firm belief in country’s law and order.

“I don’t think I have to make any revelations to the media about this. But, yes, when the investigation authorities sit, and question me. I will cooperate with them completely because I have full faith in the law and order of my country. And, if and when they ask me any names I will reveal them,” says Nupur.

Later when she was asked to reveal the nationalities of those cricketers she flatly refused to do so. She said to the interviewer, “You are trying to put words in my mouth. I am not going to say anything; I am not talking about the players, yes, because the Sri Lankan board has rubbished all my statements. And that is why I have come out with my clarification.”

Besides Dilshan has she dated other players and she refuses to comment on the question. “I will not like to say anything about this as it isn’t relevant to the issue I am here for. I believe in a no name policy and I would go with that,” she signs off.

Nupur Mehta - I'm the darling of India

Nupur Mehta says she is confused that what is that that the paper wants from her. But she is happy that her family is supportive. She belongs to dignifies family and everyone in her family knows how to tackle with these kinds of situations she says.

She however maintains her claim that she dated Dilshan. “Yes, I did. So what? I am not liable to answer things about my personal life. Yes, as was reported, I was in the casino and I saw the cricketers there, and they were all there. But that’s about it. I don’t want to drag this any further, and would be issuing a clarification shortly,” retorts Nupur.

She sees on harm in dating cricketers as long as the name is not dragged for match fixing issue. Taking a dig at the reporter who published Nupur’s story, she says, “The reporter is obsessed with me – he is in love with me. There can be no other explanation. See, even if I was dating Dilshan, or not dating him, or even if I was STILL dating him, my point is, prove that I am a criminal.”

Nupur Mehta is these days work as a freelance event organizer with an event management company at Delhi. She shifted her base to Delhi from Mumbai when nothing substantial happened there for her in Bollywood.

Guilty or not that is something different but as for now, Nupur Mehta has hogged much needed limelight and became an eye candy for film makers. She has been offered a role in Mahesh Bhatt’s film. She confirms the news, “Yes, Mahesh Bhatt has offered me a role, but I will take my time to come to a decision. For now, let me enjoy this bit of controversy, and then I will concentrate on my film career. I have been reading scripts and meeting people, but I am in no hurry.”

She feels that all of a sudden she has become darling for India. As more of cameras now focus on Nupur most, she says she feels that she has become “the darling of the country. Everybody wants to talk about me, everybody seems to be so interested in me, so I am enjoying every bit of it, and I am enjoying myself,” says Nupur.

Nupur Mehta and Dilshan

The paper claimed that a Bollywood actress was used to lure Pakistani cricketers to underperform during India Pakistan semi finals in Mohali last year.

Nupur Mehta has already denied the allegation sgaianst her and threatens the paper to sue in court. She recently claimed, “I was seeing Dilshan and went to the casino with him but that does not suggest I am involved with match-fixing in cricket. That is my personal life and my relationship cannot be made the basis of such a big allegation. I am a single, attractive girl and have the liberty to move around in any part of the world and interact with whoever I want to.”

SLC took not more than 24 hours to release a statement on Nupr Mehta’s claims through an email which read, “We have read with concern the recent media reports pertaining to a Sri Lankan national cricketer – TM Dilshan and regret to note that during a period, such as this, where TM Dilshan is performing to the best of his abilities representing Sri Lanka in all formats of the game, with a Test Series against England about to commence on March 26th 2012- such a story has been given wide publicity in the media.”

“Sri Lanka Cricket stands by TM Dilshan at this critical time and condemns the accusations/comments made in the said article. As you are well aware, Dilshan, who is a former captain of the Sri Lanka national team and an iconic Sri Lanka national player, would undoubtedly have a large following of fans from all parts of the globe. Sri Lanka Cricket does not intend on commenting on the said story any further in view of its baseless nature,” it added further.

Nupur Mehta wishes to date Virat Kohli

Nupur Mehta is going to be the next guest in Shekhar Suman’s chat show ‘Movers and Shakers’ broadcasted on SAB channel. Post the Indo-Pakistan match fixing controversy she is appearing for the first time in public.

On the show she clarifies the allegations laid on her. She has set the record straight and made it clear that she has nothing to do with the match fixing issue.

Nupur Mehta candidly talked about the controversy with Shekhar where she was quoted saying, “I am a free, young girl from independent nation and I have been facing allegations that I have fixed the Indo-Pak semifinal which took place during World Cup 2011.”

Adding further she said, “If I am so powerful that I can fix matches and so many Pakistani players listen to me then I should go and stand in the elections in Pakistan and hopefully even win elections due to my popularity. Actually, I am just a poor, innocent Indian girl and they are blaming me for nothing at all.”

Nupur is a diehard fan of cricket and she loves the sport too much. She likes the sport more than films or Bollywood for that matter. She has no hesitation in choosing Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar over Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan.
When she was asked by Shekhar to personally thank Virat for his innings she was too happy to do that but on a condition of ‘fixing’ a date with Virat Kohli.

On this Shekhar said, “I am not involving myself in any ‘fixing’ and I would like to stay away from it.”

Well, Nupur it’s good to clear out things before that turn too ugly.
