Well, this sucks, but Aleks just sent me this link to the video from his Nissan GTR during the 'incident' at Speigelkurve yesterday. And it's not much fun to watch...

Hot on the heels of Wednesday's decision to re-allow GT3s (et al) back on the Nordschleife, came a private test session for the AMG factory and customer cars. Here's a few photos for all you Affalterbach fans.

Jealous? Me? You betcha! You better watch out guys, because this girl's got bigger balls than half of you. And she's a master of the wet...

The hills were alive with the thunder of Affalterbach steel today, as the AMG boys released their latest GT3 creation on to the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

In a seemingly bizarre twist to the ongoing saga of banned racing cars and spectator safety, the DMSB has lifted the ban on the higher classes but installed speed limits on the 'most dangerous' sections.

Easter Friday, or so-called Car Friday (Kar Freitag), is almost over. And it's been a helluva day...

The flow of time is purely subjective. Sometimes events become memories quicker than we can ever admit to. But it's the emotions that sometimes take the longest time to fade away. And I'll be honest, I was too emotional to write anything meaningful about this subject for the last couple of days.

VLN1 ended after just over one hour of a planned four-hour race, after one spectator died and many more were injured in an incident at Flugplatz. The #23 Nissan left the Nordschleife after appearing to take-off over the Quiddelbächer Hohe, and crashed into the spectators area at the following corner (known as Flugplatz).

I thought it was going to be a very quiet day at the Nürburgring Nordschleife today. The cold temperatures and yesterday's snow chaos seemed to dampen everybody's spirits. From 8am I was stood, shivering, alone and bored at the Karussell. Watching ONE car making lap after lap... but it soon got more exciting.

Racing at the Nürburgring in March is never predictable. But considering just how good the weather was yesterday (check out my photos and video of the new 2-litre turbo Lexus RC coupe testing yesterday) today's changeable Nordschleife still gave us all a surprise that ended in mayhem and red flags...

This was the scene at the first planned public opening of the official 2015 season at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Despite yesterday's fantastic, sunny (and dry!) VLN Einstellfahrten, we were greeted with near-freezing temperatures and a fresh coating of snow.

Good morning from the Nürburgring, where the phones in the hotels are jammed with F1 teams and related businesses trying to book rooms for the weekend of July 18th-19th and the surrrounding days. Check out my calendar online here, and you'll spot a gaping window in the events schedule that week.

The local radio station SWR is also reporting that there will be an official announcement later today.
