Nurses Gifts Of Care

Nurses Are The Heart

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Wed, 14 Feb 2018 22:34:00 +0000

Nurses are the heart of care, of compassion, of wisdom when a family needs comfort. When a patient needs advice, a strong shoulder. The ability to help so many from basics to delivering babies, caring for those who have not much time left. Your beauty and heart lives forever in so many others hearts.
I dedicate this to every nurse I have worked with, laughed, studied and cried with. The nurses who have held my hand when it was my loved ones. The RN and LPN nursing professionals who never waiver no matter how much their feet hurt, their backs ache, their patience wears thin, no matter how much their hearts hurt too.

Nursing Fashion Has Come A Long Way

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Thu, 06 Jul 2017 01:00:00 +0000

Nursing has come a long way baby from the days of a fashionably stiff nurses cap, equally unappealing white dress and white hose (all of which I admit to having worn at one point), to the wonderful world of scrubs for RN and LPN nurses.

Whether you are allowed the freedom of choosing your own styles and prints or required to wear uniform office or hospital scrubs, the nursing fashion style today is a great world of comfort, pockets and designs. Don't forget to check out some of our great healthcare nursing theme accessories for everyday and everywhere at Bonfire Designs

OK I admit it, I love the coordinated bags and comfy nurses shoes too

Nursing July 4th Freedom

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Tue, 04 Jul 2017 04:40:00 +0000

Nursing July 4th is either completely "q" word or extreme chaos. More problems, more new admits from the Emergency Dept. More relatives coming to visit. Or totally boring with less visitors because they are all away and doing fireworks and BBQ fun or everyone was so busy having fun they didn't remember to not feel well.

Less surgeries scheduled if they can be because, well it's holiday weekend.

But other than that, it's business as usual for a Nurse on Fourth of July. Patients to care for that would rather be well, be somewhere else. Medications on time. IV's to attend. Catheters and wound care. Time flies by until your shift is over.

For you July 4th may have been just another day to be an awesome, compassionate, dedicated nurse. But for your patients, you made another day more bearable. Less scary. You were there for them. They were free to deal with their problems, because they had you to help them.

Male Nurses Rock

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Thu, 11 Jun 2015 02:10:00 +0000

Male Nurses Do Rock. I know that because I have been lucky enough to work with some of the best.

Sure many nurse guys face some prejudice and surprise, but overall they seem to handle all that with pride and respect for the job, the patients and their co-workers. A little sense of humor and a lot of patience and dedication, and most of the men I know that are nursing professionals are so top notch they come out ahead when faced with some challenges. We honor and salute them just as we do all nurses. LPN and RN Nurses are a very special dedicated class of people who shoulder the care and responsibility of strangers as though they were the most important person in the world every single one of them.

A great nurse makes all the difference in the world. A smile, some reassurance, just listening sometimes going above and beyond all the medical nursing school text book stuff every single nurse has learned and practiced and keeps on learning every single day.

We designed some extra special nursing graphics and gift ideas for our Male Nurse friends because, well they are proud of what they do and deserve to share that pride.

Nurses Dedicated For Life

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Sun, 29 Mar 2015 10:30:00 +0000

Nurses RN and LPN nurses and everyone in the nursing profession are so dedicated to their profession, to their training and most importantly to their patients. Nursing is about life. Saving lives, improving the quality of lives. Providing guidance, compassion, education and motivation along with nursing skills come caring enough to go above and beyond for patients and their families.

A Nurse isn't something you do, it's someone you are. You are dedicated for life. Yours and your patients.

A Nurse's Expression

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Wed, 18 Mar 2015 02:00:00 +0000

A nurse's expression of care, compassion, knowledge and professionalism is written all over their face. An RN or LPN's face is probably the first face patients and their families will see in the medical treatment or exam room and very often the last medical face they will see. Every smile or frown, touch and tone of voice means a thousand things to the patient. Later on the patient may not even remember everything the nurse said, but they will always remember the look on their face and in their eyes when they said it.

Nursing gifts of care goes way beyond giving an injection, assisting during surgery or giving instructions to patients and their families. Dedicated healthcare professionals know that they can calm and soothe even while giving bad news just by their tone of voice, by the light of hope in their eyes, by the body language that says "I care about you". The art of caring, to be able to give assurance to those who need it most is beyond the textbooks, the technology and the prayers. It's a moment in time that lasts in many memories forever.

A nurse's expression may not always show what they are really feeling, but part of caring for those who need them is expressing to the patient not only medically what they need to know but also a reflection of what they need to feel during troubling and frightening times in their lives.

Nursing Scrubs

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Wed, 18 Feb 2015 02:05:00 +0000

Nursing scrubs aren't just about what you wear. To work. Your job. Your career. Scrubs have to fit just right, not too snug and not too loose. You may have a dress code or with any luck, you get to choose your own scrub pants and tops. Love the variety. Love the solids. Mostly I just love the fit too.

My whole fashion closet is well, scrubs. Panic attacks if I have to go out to a restaurant! Pressure and decisions if I have to go to a party. But scrubs. Oh yeah. I know scrubs!

I Don't Always Wear Scrubs

Oh Wait...Yes I Do

Nursing School

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Thu, 29 Jan 2015 17:52:00 +0000

Nursing School is a requirement for all nurses whether they want to become an RN, LPN, Certified Nursing Assistant or even a Home Health Aide. Nursing requires a great deal of education both hands on and in the classroom. The amount of classes and years of school it will take to become a nurse depends on the type of Nursing License or certification you want to earn.

One thing is for sure, whether you choose to become a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be spending hundreds of hours learning everything from anatomy and physiology to assisting during surgical procedures.

We carry some great student nurse gift ideas with nursing themes and medical symbols that they will be proud to use and wear in nursing school and still love when they become licensed nurses throughout their career.

Nurses are always learning whether they go to a nursing school, accredited college, take online medical courses or attend CEU classes a nurse is always taking notes, asking questions and finding out the newest and best ways to take care of their patients.

From the day a future nurse enrolls in school they will need some things to help them through this very busy time in their lives. They definitely will need a great second hand watch, tote bags and business bags to help them carry all of their books, binders, notes, lunch and extra apparel to help get them through their long days and nights of studying and some nursing theme hoodies and sweats to cozy up in while commuting are fun and practical presents for nurses.

Another great gift idea for a Student Nurse is a personalized Visa Gift Card. You can choose the amount that works best for you, add a message or even upload a photo to make a really custom gift card. You can choose Visa Credit Cards or pick a Merchant that works best for your gift giving. Nursing school is really expensive and so are text books and accessories. Gift cards are thoughtful and always appreciated by students.

Whether you are looking for a holiday gift for a nurse, a special way to say thank you during Nurse Appreciation Week or want to wish a Student Nurse good luck for back to school time we have a huge selection of medical theme and caduceus symbol jewelry, bags, watches and apparel for nursing careers. We have a dedicated Nursing Apparel and Personalized Gift Shop and welcome you to join Nurses On Facebook Fan Page to get in on the newest products, holiday gifts and discount specials.

LPN Nurse Medical Gifts

noreply@blogger.com (Bonfire Designs) — Tue, 30 Sep 2014 16:00:00 +0000

LPN Nurses are nurses too. LPN stands for Licensed Practical Nurse and many people think only RN's are real nurses but that is so not true. LPN's are on the front line of medical patient care involved in measuring and recording patients' vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. They prepare and give injections and enemas, monitor catheters, dress wounds, perform venipuncture (take blood samples) and get those vital lab tests prepared properly and sent to the lab documenting, documenting and more documenting.

LPN's wear their medical symbol proudly and are an important part of healthcare and medicine. They work in doctor's offices, Emergency rooms, hospitals and healthcare centers providing not only routine nursing skills but often they are the patients and their families link to education, compassion and care.

We have designed LPN nursing professional t-shirts, jewelry and gifts that show the pride, care and compassion of nurses everywhere.

Please feel free to visit our Nursing Shop at: Personalized Gifts For RN and LPN Nurses and browse our huge personalized gifts for holidays, birthdays, graduation from Nursing School, retirement and birthday presents for nursing professionals.
