Yesterday I started working on a very special project: a My Digital Studio book to highlight our Stampin' Up! Fiji Trip! My son is going off to college this fall and I want him to take a reminder of our amazing trip with him so decided to create an entire scrapbook of our trip before the memories fade.

My Digital Studio offers several different sizes and layouts for scrapbooks - you can even download an entire kit and just drag and drop your photos on each page. My scrapbook will be 11 x 8 1/2 in size - easy to store and doesn't require a lot of photos.

I'll share some of the pages in the coming weeks but for now, here's the front cover (at this point).

I will be adding some kind of element down the left side of the cover but am still deciding what that will look like at this point. The beauty about digital scrapbooking is that I can change elements around on each page, add more or take some away without damaging the page itself.

If you want more information about the fun of digital crafting and My Digital Studio, click here. This is the perfect time to take a look, here's why:

Did you know that I have a Stamps in the Mail club for my long distance customers? Each month I choose a different stamp set to feature and this month it's Dapper Dad - the perfect stamp set for masculine and Father's Day cards! (I'm so sad that Dapper Dad is retiring on May 31st - I LOVE this set!)

Here's how my club works:

Each month I will contact you about the featured stamp set. If you
already own the stamp set or it doesn't strike your fancy, you may
select a different set (same price point or less)

Each month you will receive a package in the mail with a NEW stamp
set, and a second package with 3 fabulous, exclusive FINISHED samples
for you to copy! (not files, or directions, or PDF documents, real
full-card samples!) Copy them and then use them!

You choose either wood mount or clear mount stamp sets

You can add additional products to your order to save on shipping costs

Have a NEW friend join the club, and you get another FREE bonus stamp set! (24.95 or less)

The club subscription lasts 6 consecutive months. You can rejoin after the 6th month if you want to continue.

You can place your credit card on file for hassle-free billing or I can invoice you through PayPal

US Club members only, sorry!

Here's one of the three Dapper Dad cards you will receive in the mail if you join my club this month:

I deliberately left off a sentiment so you can decide how you will use it - for Father's Day, retirement or for a masculine birthday.

If you'd like more information about my Stamps in the Mail Club, click here. And if you'd like to participate this month so you get the three different Dapper Dad cards, all you have to do is email me at: terri@nutzaboutstamping.com and I'll be back in touch.

I took a ton of photos while in Fiji and sat down last weekend to create a My Digital Studio page using a couple of them.

I had a pretty cool opportunity while in Fiji - 210 demonstrators and family members drove in buses over to the local hospital to spend four hours working on the outside. The hospital had been hit by a cyclone in December, 2012 and it was looking worse for wear. So some of us gardened, some scraped off old paint and repainted, some weeded and cleaned off the main signs. When all was said and done the hospital looked clean and cared for and the staff and patients were so grateful for our efforts.

Here's a page I created using just two of the photos I took that morning:

I feel proud. Proud that I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and proud that I had the fortune to participate in making a difference in the lives of the others.

I am sure you have proud moments too and hope that you have them preserved in a scrapbook. If not, take the time to learn how to use My Digital Studio and I can show you how to get up and running and get those memories saved for years to come. Click here to learn more.

This die is so versatile - it can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, and super cute 3D items.

Today I am going to show you a fun Up, Up & Away card idea that is quite different from other cards you might have made recently!

This weekend my Raleigh Techniques Club meets and I have three fun cards for them to create, one of which uses the fabulous Secret Garden stamp set.

But the technique isn't using that stamp set, it's showing them the technique of using Washi Tape to create decorative elements on cards!

Here's the Secret Garden card they will create tonight:

Yeppers, you can stamp on Washi Tape! But, after you do so you need to emboss it with clear embossing powder to help it dry and not smear (discovered that one the hard way, lol). Now you may be asking, "what is the pink patterned strip on the card front, I haven't seen that before". And you are quite right. But if you wait, say....three weeks you just might! (wink, wink)

This club will make two more cards using Washi Tape and I promise to post one of them over on my Facebook Business page early next week so check over there if you want another Washi Tape idea.

And if you live in the Raleigh, NC area and would like to join my Techniques Club, I have a new round starting in July. This club fills up fast so contact me soon to join!

Part of my amazing Fiji trip was the opportunity to participate in a card swap while there. I brought back 25 beautiful cards and over the next few weeks will share some of them here and some of them on my Facebook Business page.

Here's one of the swap cards I received, using Swallowtail and the Delicate Designs folder:

Isn't that beautiful? Swallowtail has to be one of the most popular stamp sets in the Spring catalog. There are so many amazing cards and techniques that can be created using Swallowtail.

And what stamp set does the phrase come from, do you know? I can't say for now - you'll have to wait until May 31st to find out (hint, hint).
