Just what I wanted. I got tired of bike superbikes and the cost. Best bike I had fun on was when we all had XT250's then I saw one of these and loved it. A bit of chasing and this is mine.

New NWA Bike 'Red Ken' & Write-Up [shocker]

"Well, she’s a go-a. Big Red and Loud, sounds like the British in falaraki.

After a 2 minute inspection and a tootle up the road at 10miles an hour I parted with my hard earned £900, kindly lent to me by mum. She’s (or he, yet to be determined) is a rip roaring bike. After being on the R1 for a couple of years, its actually great to get back on a high revving 600 and ring its neck. She (or he) doesn’t really do a lot below 10,000 RPM but when you do get above this she flies. Absolutely rock solid in the corners, however that’s sacrificed at the drop in speed. She (or he) is super comfortable and the commute from London to Reading was easy, just over 50mins from islington. Not bad considering bike and insurance came in at £1000. Got a really nice pipe on, makes a beautiful noise and people turn their heads when they hear me coming (great for warning stupid pedestrians about to walk into the road)"

Assembly backs TT game follow-up

The sequel is currently in production
A sequel to a million-selling computer game has won company funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
Jester Interactive Publishing Ltd will create a follow-up to TT Superbikes, based on the famous Isle of Man races.
The company, based in St Asaph, Denbighshire, said riders had even used the original game to get used to the course around the island's roads.

It is the first new media company to benefit from the assembly government's £7m Wales Creative IP Fund.

The TT Superbikes game was launched for PlayStation2 in 2005, and entered the chart at number five.

It held a top 10 spot for four weeks and sold more than a million copies worldwide.

The game was so successful, TT riders used it to familiarise themselves with the famous Isle of Man course. Clark Evans, director of Jester, said: "I know of two American riders who used to practise for two or three hours a day before entering the race.
"Afterwards, one of them thanked me and said the game had helped save his life."

The sequel, still in production, will boast five new tracks, as well as recreating the Aberdare Park road races, which are held annually in south Wales.

'Extremely competitive'

Mr Evans added: "The sequel will appeal to racing game fans, casual gamers and the existing TT Superbikes players who will be able to experience a fresh challenge with new tracks, bikes and features."
The Creative IP fund is managed by Finance Wales, a subsidiary company of the assembly government.
It was set up in April 2005 to provide equity investment for feature films, TV productions, new media and music projects.
Enterprise minister Andrew Davies said: "The creative industries are worth more than £750m.
"Companies such as Jester are excellent examples of what we are achieving in Wales within what is an extremely competitive global industry."

George C does the NY Marathon

Met up in NY - Firstly a great city to meet family or friends. One of the greatest in the world, secondly what a perfect day. Sunshine, cool weather, amazing crowd and sound systems...... We pre arranged a point and right on que he ran past, we waved and hes off. We managed to catch eye contact and if you think of how many runners, hos big it is then its amazing.

So - With zero training really, also stuffed full of Banana pie and whipped cream from the greek famil who hosted him a meal the night before he managed 3.24 and a PB.

Bloody well done son.

Last one ? Thats 3 now.

The Greek family want you to do the original Marathon next year in Greece, I have the form here - Tempted ?

NWA T-Shirt goes on Holiday

Well had an amazing holiday in Kauai and off course the NWA T-Shirt was displayed at any opportunity!

While in Kauai I proably saw the crappest motorcycle group (well after the NWA that is). Kauai is a small island and has one major road that goes around about 2/3's of the island. The other 1/3rd is the Napali coast in totally unroadworthy. SO one day we drove out and coming the other way was a group of your typical Harley riders who thought they looked cool (if leather chaps can do that for you), handlebar moustaches, etc, you know the look. I could just imagine every Sunday them starting at one end of the island riding in a 'Pack' for 60 miles and then saying "Okay Frank same again next week" Gorgeous island just not the place for the open road!
