I am not going to shut down the blog, however. I’m going to begin a more traditional blog and I will still reflect upon the tarot from time to time. I hope you continue to enjoy the postings. I enjoy writing very much and hope to post more often.

The Queen of Wands/Staves is where you share your magic with the world of business. Your ideas will be met with great success when you infuse them with the magic of which you know you are capable. Again, though, you must first believe in yourself before you will gain the trust and respect of others. Again, this requires loving yourself and respecting yourself and your boundaries. Never do anything at the expense of your values, as you will never find success that way. Stay grounded and stay in the present moment and you will know that you have all that you need and that you will have eternal success

The Four and the Princess are cards of material success. The Four is a card of money coming your way or success on the material plane. The Page is a card of accomplishment. You can have success in a material way and it will be yours as the Universe wants all to be cared for and secure. Wanting money for the sake of having more or because of a belief that it will make you happy are sure paths to creating imbalance in your prosperity. The more you allow the energy of the Four and the Page to fill your life, the more you will realize just how little you really need to thrive. And the more money that will find you easily will astound you.

The Eight is a warning. It is a card of victimization and feeling trapped. This is what happens when you begin thoughts with, “I’ll never get ahead,” or, “The economy is so bad and I can’t see a way it will get better.” I hear so much negative thought, and I won’t lie to you, it is really easy to do right now. But we must more toward a path of healing and regaining our prosperous birthright. Don’t get dragged down. Know that the Universe will provide for you, even when that doesn’t even seem to be a remote possibility. Try to spend a month taking some of your meditation time and focusing it on prosperity and don’t be too narrow in your definition of what that is. Then promise yourself that, for a month, you will not utter a negative statement about your lack or the state of things on a global scale. See what happens.

Consider the following affirmation:

I have all that I need. The Universe cares and provides for all of my needs. I am blessed.

This is the beginning, where it all starts. It is a card of the empty vessel ready to be filled with the knowledge of what is and what will always be. It is where we need to start and where we need to return often to recharge the batteries of our souls. For this is the card of now, the present and there is no wishing for things to change or longing for what was. This is the card of is. Om is the sound from which the Universe emanated and Om is a good place to start for this card. We have often seen the mock of the guru, sitting in the lotus position chanting, “Ooooooooooommmmmmmmm, oooooooooooommmmmm,” but have you ever really tried it? Feeling that vibration touch every nerve and fiber of your being? Give yourself this opportunity. Sit quietly and begin breathing. Focus on the in and out of the breath. As anything threatens to interrupt, just go back to the breath, the elixir of life. When you are feeling ready and relaxed, take in a deep breath and release it with and Om. You will feel something that vibrates through all of your Chakras, it should start at your tailbone and rise up through your core. If you can focus hard enough, you will feel a divine connection between your seventh or crown Chakra and the Divine.

The Divine Fool is the eternal optimist, for he knows no other way. He does not enter a situation with preconceived notions. He enters it with innocence, for he as forgotten whatever the past has brought him and he cares not for what the future may hold. He looks at today, this moment, as a shiny, precious object to be explored and admired. When life feels hopeless, when we have lost our purpose, we need to find our inner fool; for he only seems foolish to the outside world, the world that has lost its way and purpose.If you think about all the great teachers and avatars who have been divinely brought to this world to guide us, they are often viewed by those who have lost their way as fools. Their teachings all lead us back to this place of simple introspection and they are derided, ignored and occasionally destroyed by the outside world that thinks itself so evolved. It is all illusion, this feeling of control. We only gain peace and enlightenment when we give up control. The Divine Fool would never think of trying to control anything. Divine Fool hands you his shiny object and says, “Here. This is yours. I have many more.” It is your plaything, this life, this precious day. Do not ignore the gift of the fool. To do so is to take the path of pain and belief that this illusion we call reality is real, not trickery.

After you’ve become proficient with your Oms, envision your inner Fool with both the red light of the first Chakra and the violet or white light of the seventh Chakra for he is ending and beginning. Imagine them swirling around. Imagine him beginning in your red root Chakra and happily dancing upward, through all of your Chakras renewing them, setting them spinning correctly as he moves upward. He will move, restoring great happiness, peace and contentment with his dance of life. When he reaches your crown Chakra he will reach for the stars and divinely connect you and you will become aware again of your root or first Chakra, for this is the center of the Universe. You ARE the center of the Universe, a being of divine light and love. You are connected to all, there is no ending, no beginning. There just is.

Consider the two meditations in the paragraphs above as your way of connecting to the Divine Fool. Consider the following affirmation:

I love. I am. I am all things. I am connected to the Divine at all times. Om.

The Lovers

Six of Staves/Wands

The Luvahs are all about Love, but they come with an admonishment; you must first love yourself before you can look for Love in the world. You must appreciate your own specialness and inner beauty before you will allow anyone else to see it. Try standing in front of a mirror and tell your reflection, “I love you.” At first it might feel silly but do it until you really believe it. Then love and love with abandon. Share Love as you see fit. Give love freely and it will come flowing back to you.

The Two is a card of partnership and of sharing the Love you’ve cultivated in yourself with another. It doesn’t have to be romantic love but this card does point toward that. It can also be learning to love all parts of yourself; a partnership of your masculine and feminine elements or your light and dark side.

The Six is a card of celebration, of victory. You will learn to love yourself and you will share that Love with the world. Get out there and do some k-i-s-s-i-n-g and give yourself a big hug while you’re at it.

Knight of Pentacles

The Two is a card of balance. This is a good sign that you’ve been getting the message of the cards lately. Finding balance, especially through meditation is the first step toward living in the moment, a theme that has come up quite a bit lately. This card also shows your ability to handle multiple tasks. Be sure you don’t allow this to keep you from that which is truly important - your ability to be still and truly take in life as it is.

The Four is a card of roots. Taking stock of that which is and building upon it. It may mean a domestic partnership of some kind as well and it will be a good choice. Meditate on that which you consider important in a relationship and bring this to you. It is important to look for a soul mate, not someone, who with a little (or lot) of work could be ‘the one’. Stay real and stay true to your needs. When you take care of you, you are ready to be a true partner.

The Knight is a card of fulfillment and success. The cards are telling you that you are on the right path. It is also a card of drawing in material success, as are most of the Pentacles. Material comforts are your right, just don’t allow them to become your only focus in life. Remember, the more stuff you own, the more your stuff owns you. Meditate on finding balance when it comes to material success and happiness. Stay in the moment and realize you have all you need if you find you are losing that balance.

Seven of Cups

Prince of Swords

Things are pretty emotional here today, the suit of Cups is the realm of emotion. The Seven is a card of indecision and sometimes being mired in what could be rather than what is. As I often remind here, it is very important to stay in the present moment. Make decisions, even if the decision is not to make a decision, and find peace there. Living in the past or in a future fantasy will only leave you stuck.

The Eight is a card of disillusionment. It is also a card of moving on and I’m going to take a little twist here. I’m going to bring it back to the message of the Seven. Perhaps you do not need so much to move on but need to move into now. As I said, living in the past or future will only lead to disillusionment. I believe both of these cards are here to really reinforce the message.

The Prince of Swords is a card of clarity; of cutting through the fog. This is the assistance you need and you can gain this assistance by letting go of what should be and focus on the present moment. You can easily access this through the practice of meditation. Consider the following from Pema Chodron. Simply focus on the breath out. Sit quietly and breath in but just focus on the simple breath out. You will be amazed at the wonderful calming effect it will have on your ability to just be. Be.

The World

The Four is a card of inheritance and material wealth. Money will be coming to you perhaps, but more importantly you’ll see money for what it really is; simply a means to an end and perhaps you will be surprised by how little you really need when you let go of your grasping for more. Perhaps you will ‘inherit’ a new outlook on life and on financial/material stability. We all want to live comfortably, think of the ways you look for comfort.

The Ten is a card of completion, the end of a cycle. Perhaps you have been overly focused on monetary fears or perhaps you have realized you have all that you need. Not typically a money card, more one of emotion, but perhaps this deals with your emotions about money and security. It is hard after just a few minutes of talking to anyone right now, let alone listening to the news, to not feel the seductive allure of fear calling you to its dark path. Stay in the light, know that you have completed the journey necessary to be free of fear and its tenacious grip.

The World is your reminder that you can and do have it all. The Universe is open to you and your needs, you never need fear want or scarcity. Many great teachers have taught us this message, that we are loved and cared for. It is only when we believe we are alone and unconnected that we allow in thoughts of scarcity. You are not alone and you will always have divine goodness at your beck and call. Never forget this.

Meditate today on the many riches in your life at this moment. It may be the love of family or a pet even. It may be a break in the clouds and a patch of blue sky. It may be that your heart beats and your lungs fill with oxygen. Acknowledge your blessings.

The High Priestess
The Hermit
Nine of Cups

The High Priestess knows what she knows. She is the Wise Woman, as venerated as she is feared. This is a strong card and it’s a card about reaching into the Strength we all have within us. You have all that you need and you should never doubt your wisdom. When you are feeling overwhelmed or unsure of your choices, simply access this higher power, she is in all of us, male or female.

Helping you to access this higher power is the Hermit. The Hermit is a card of meditation and looking within. When you need to access your Strength, sit quietly and focus in on what you need. Then be still. You will realize you have all that you need right in the present moment.

The Nine is the wish card and in this reading I believe this means you will be successful in accessing your higher power through meditation today. It also means the Universe is your creation and you control your own destiny.
