I did a short run in the Brecksville metroparks yesterday. The all purpose trails and bridel trails have been cleared of leaves, but the singletrack hiking trails were not. Sure is easier (safer) to see roots and rocks on a cleared trail.
Can't remember if they've cleared leaves in years past or not.

I've never been to Voltures but would like to go there in the spring. I usually ride clipless unless at Ray's. What do you suggest here? I won't be doing any stunts that are too high and skinny. I broke my leg last year riding with clipless so I don't want to make that mistake again.

Sounds like I finally got enough bike tags (yes, keep them on the right) out there so you dont get lost. Its purely self-defense. Ask Diana how easy it is for me to get lost. On 2nd thought, dont ask!

From the CORA Night Ride thread:

FYI....***Want to make sure everyone is aware of the controlled deer reduction effort that will take place at 17 Indiana State Parks.
Specifically VERSAILLES and HARMONIE as they both have Mountain Bike Trails.
BCSP is NOT on the list of Indiana State Parks for deer reduction this year.
Here is the direct quote from IDNR: 11-06-2009 12:45pm
" Two reduction efforts will take place. The first are Nov.16 and 17. The second round is Nov.30 and Dec 1. The participating parks will close to the general public the evening before each of the two efforts and will re-open the morning after each two-day reduction ends."
