Ditto. "Patriot's Day" is not a big deal anywhere other than Massachusetts. Besides those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, who has heard about pressure-cooker bombs before this? There was one used in the 2010 Times Square bombing but details about it are always buried deep in the story. The fact that both of the bombs detonated and no duds were found suggests that the bomber knew what he was doing, and that suggests more knowledge than might be found reading a recipe from the internet. (Remember how Bill Ayers' friends blew themselves up in 1970 building a bomb in Greenwich Village?)

The article barely says anything, so here is her Facebook post, in which Palin says, among other things, that the Feds are stockpiling bullets because they know we're going to default as a country, financially, and they expect there to be riots.

[Responding to a debate on whether the National Guard would side with the government or the patriots]

Not to put too fine a point on it, and by no means to be disagreeable with your many valid points or you, but regarding the National Guard I think there may be a difference. A couple of things, I noticed Mao-Bama photo ops during the ‘12 campaign that featured people in uniform and started paying attention to the demographics. Nothing scientific and presuming they were in fact Guard or even military related people and not props, those people in his background were often largely africanhyphenamerican and/or women. Given that that demographic is very loyal to Hussein Mao-Bama, are they likely to hold fire on people who are obviously not his rabid supporters?

Another point, two Novembers ago I was in Charleston SC visiting my daughter. We went to the Veterans Day Parade. There were a lot of well disciplined formations from the armed forces in the parade but, there were also formations from local JROTC programs from high schools outside Charleston consisting largely of africanhyphenamericans and/or women. Not all, but most were strikingly undisciplined. They were not marching in formation as one would expect a well trained outfit to march rather swaying along chanting different chants by the “formation” sometimes even dancing past the Exchange Building where we were viewing. This reminded me of reports a few years back that were posted here about africanhyphenamerican leaders sponsoring JROTC formations of young ahyphenas who it was posited were being trained to be a sort of a militia to take on the white man.

I truly don’t mean to make this stuff racist, it is what I have observed. My only point being that I would not be so sure about the National Guard. I would also point out that there is another paramilitary organization, the blue shirts of the TSA who are only too happy to perform invasive searches on specific groups of people not including those of the islamic persuasion.

I understand the affinity that Mexicans have for their culture, so I'm OK with the Fiesta logo for example. As for businesses flying the tri-color, the line is drawn there. Some of that stems from the 10th anniversary of 9/11 when I driving through town to get the grandchildren. The vast majority of homes had the American flag unfurled out of respect but I was galled when driving by used car lots that had the Mexican flag flying on that sacred day. About a flag pin similar to Sarah Palin's but with the Mexican flag, that too is another line I'll not cross. In the case of Mrs. Palin, it's clear that Israel is a solid ally and shares our American values, so it makes perfect sense and is a demonstration of her commitment to liberty and our Judeo-Christian principles.

I have a very good friend who is of Mexican ancestry who is 100% American through and through. His parents were legal immigrants, initially working on the King Ranch in South Texas and later creating a carpet installation business.
He never speaks a word Spanish, flies Old Glory from a mast in his yard and has cut all ties with the country of his origin. In short, he thoroughly assimilated. He even sneers when we're diving and pass a Mexican restaurant, calling the food [expletive deleted]. That's a rare instance of him cussing since he's a good Assembly of God type of guy. Although he kept his Hispanic-sounding last name, he Anglicized his first name (to Gilbert from Gilberto).

Previously on Freep Impact, Freepers were considering whether or not the Sandy Hook shootings were a hoax. One man who let 6 kids stay at his home after they escaped from the shooting did quite a few interviews with the media, and as a result, he has begun to be harassed by people who believe he is an actor and that the shooting never happened. Some of these comments I threw in to make it more obvious that not everyone at FR thinks Sandy Hook is a hoax. Those that do, however, are very vocal.

That said, this guy's story is a little strange. He says he got parent cell phone numbers from the bus company? Why didn't he call police or fire or the school district to let them know these kids were safe and where they were? How did these kids get out of the closet where they were hiding and past the gunman and the police? He says it was about 9:30 but the shooting started at 9:30. Why would a "bus driver" be at the school after the kids had been delivered and school started? If the kids ran out the front door of the school, the first structure they would come to is the fire station - where emergency services were mustering and kids were being taken. Why would they go past that to a private home? Why would he keep them at his house for "hours"? Why would this "bus driver" in whose care the children were left disappear and has never reappeared? Why hasn't any parent of a child who was at this house come forward?

I don't doubt the massacre, but I wonder if any reporters have checked out this guys story? It's probably useless to ask the question. The media would feel checking this guy out would put them in the "truther" camp.

My question is...how did he save these six children unless shooting was taking place outside of the school? They may have been running, but the official narrative of the moment says that no one was chasing the children. Hence, he did not save them by inviting them into his house. (Pregnant pause to consider this man inviting anybody else’s children into his house.) And his on-camera delivery could use more polishing. Definitely not ready for prime-time.

I’m not recommending he be harassed, nor am I willing to endorse the idea that this was a false flag operation, but watching Rosen’s “performance” I can’t help but think something is off-kilter.
He comes across as a drama queen who loves attention and wants to make it all about him. That’s more than a little creepy.

His “lines” sound rehearsed. I suppose after he’s told the story multiple times it isn’t surprising that he would use similar phrases, but watching multiple “performances” by him really makes the lines sound rehearsed. Also, I’d expect some modification in his delivery after a while, but with each retelling he had the same overwrought forced weepiness.

I think what strikes me the most is that I would expect some other emotions. If I’d just saved 6 kids lives (not sure that he did, but that’s what people are claiming) from a horrific murder, I would first be shocked, then I’d be angry about the murders of the other children, and then I would be joyful about the 6 I’d saved, and at some point I would probably feel proud that I’d been able to help. None of that from him. Just drama queen weepiness.

I’m not an actor, but I suspect that if I were supposed to act like I was crying over and over for the media, it would come out looking like Rosen. Kind of a fake sounding sad voice, but unable to produce actual tears.

As I watched ABC world news last night, and Diane Sawyer bring forth Gabby Giffords, leading a disabled witness like a skilled attorney to the conclusion, Giffords pronouncement of “enough”, I realized the Media and left were in full on assualt mode. The fuse has been lit, and the left won’t let go until they prevail. They won’t debate, they won’t be reasonable, or negotiate, or compromise. I have only a small hope they can be stopped after this last election. The low information, low intelligence, emotional populace is now the Majority.

Every time I read the book I am more convinced that it is a very conservative novel. Harper Lee mocks John Dewey's public school overhaul and Atticus Finch does not get angry at what today would be considered hate speech.

We read it in high school, saw the movie, personally thought it was waaaaay over rated.

Saw this when it cost $.25 to go to the movies. Even then I could sense my money flying away on a worthless film when I could have had 5 Milky Ways instead.

I think about the statistics which show that blacks rape more whites by far than vice versa.

WHY IS HE DOING THIS?

In the book, Tom Robinson is accused of a rape he DID NOT COMMIT. Yet all the town wants to convict him to keep “those people” in their “proper place”.

EVERYTHING in TKAM makes the new Tom Robinson into ZIMMERMAN.

ZIMMERMAN is cracked up to be this horrrible guy, in spite of ALLLLL the evidence, much of which they have conspired to cover.

WHY IS HE DOING THIS....?

And I’m sure he’ll point out that the awesome hero of the entire story is a white man - right?

I was telling my [high school English Lit class] yesterday, when one of the students brought up the Martin/Zimmerman issue, that the case greatly resembles what is happening in TKAM (we are at the part where Mayella is testifying and realizes her and her father’s huge mistake in their lie). We discussed the “lynching” that Zimmerman is experiencing, and that even if he is guilty of murder that he deserves the right to a trial by jury of his peers. My students, 50% black 50% white, have a better grasp of this tragedy than most of the media elites.

All my sisters homeschool, they don’t show their children this kind of stuff either, made during the beiginning of Hollywood’s self-righteous smug era of “message” pictures, espeically those instilling “white guilt”. My sisters and their husbands say they refuse to raise their families to feel guilt for things they weren’t even alive for. No other nation is forced to accept “collective guilt” in this way, the sad thing is, being the altruistic people we are, we’re also the ones who fixed the problems, even at the risk of life! That doesn’t get harped on. But anyway, there will be one family at least who’s not been indoctrinated into internalising “white guilt”.

A crappy movie introduced by a piece of crap. TKAM is nothing more than white liberal feel-good PC crap beloved by females.

I gave all my sisters "Song Of The South" to show their kids, now there's a good movie. They love it.

You would be surprised how many people think [Mockingbird] is a true story.

Mary Badham and Philip Alford (Scout and Jem) are still alive - there’s no reason in the world why they shouldn’t introduce this film. I’m sick of seeing that piece of sanctimonious crap all over the place - the whole NCAA final turned into a re-elect ME! commercial.

ENOUGH about race already! Yes, this movie included! I know a lot of people think this story is a classic and it might well be, but I am sick to death of everything portraying blacks as the victim and whites as the evil victimIZER, especially if they’re Southern. This just does not come at a particularly good time.

If I want to watch To Kill a Mockingbird I’ll just put in the DVD copy I have. Then I don’t have to watch the punk assed purple lipped mac daddy force himself into my living room.

To Kill A Mockingbird is a great story. Timeless. It stands on its own.
To use this man to introduce it only cheapens it -- like serving Thunderbird before Beef Wellington.

The movie is the typical stereotypical slander of the South and Southern Whites. It is the same old story repeated over and over to near infinity by the media.

I despise it and all the other libelous retreads. No Black is ever guilty in the movies and no White woman is ever raped by a Black man. She is always lying to cover her desire or whatever crime she is supposed to have done.

It isn't evil whites persecuting pitiful black victims in record numbers and hasn't been for a long time. If it ever was, statistics-wise. Before desegregation in Detroit, blacks still committed more violent crime against whites than vice versa. They were 30-something percent of the population yet committed 60-something percent of all crimes-this was during the days of the "oh so evil" segregation. I'd bet that little factoid would surprise most people. Blacks commit vastly more rapes against whites than whites against blacks. What the world needs more than ever is someone to speak that truth.

Watched his video, ‘free the robots’. I was in agreement with him until he started talking about it being a ‘white man's world’. Maybe he found out that wasn't true? In any case, 19 is just the beginning - he had his whole life in front of him. Prayers for those who loved him.

If I woke up one morning and found myself billed as an up and coming rapper, I’d consider suicide too. These “artists” are the “Pied” Pipers that are leading black kids to the hell they believe is the Promised Land. (And yes, almost all are “pied.”)

On one hand, I sympathize with his family and friends in their loss. On the other hand, many rappers do a lot of harm in their lives. Maybe he prevented a murder or other crimes he might have committed later.

Yes, promoting and encouraging evil behavior is also evil and harmful, and that is what much rap music does, even if the performer is not himself a criminal.

Poor kid was brainwashed that there was some secret nirvana where “white people” lived on easy street and had milk and honey, and he was not allowed to go because of his pigmentation.
