Jersey Shore Celebration Northern Ocean Prayer Inviation

Dear Friends in Christ,

I would like to invite you to join me and several other Pastors and lay people for prayer for renewal and awaking in our area and as part of the preparation for the Jersey Shore Celebration. The Jersey Shore Celebration is a vision that was birthed by a grass root group of Christians in Monmouth and Ocean County who are desperate for a fresh move of God to bring unity and new life to the churches of our region. Central to this vision is an invitation that has been extended to Wil Graham, grandson of Dr. Billy Graham to come to our area along with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to preach the gospel. Already a group of pastors and lay people have begun to lay the ground work for this series of meeting.

One of the most important things that can happen to see God bring renewal and awakening to our area is to break the dividing walls that keep us apart from one another and join together to pray for the advancement of God's Kingdom in our region. A Wil Graham Celebration as envisioned is only a one time event, but it can serve as a powerful rallying point for the people of God. By coming together to pray lasting relationships will be formed that will transform this region for eternity. Already prayer groups are meeting, seeking God for revival and awakening at Thornley Chapel in Ocean Grove NJ each Monday evening and in Southern Ocean County at various churches on Friday mornings.

The Toms River/Northern Ocean County Prayer Gathering will be on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 AM. Our first meeting will be this Wednesday at East Dover Baptist Church on Bay Avenue in Toms River. Map to East Dover Baptist Church

We have a very simple prayer agenda. We will spend some time in worship through music. We will be praying through the Book of Acts one chapter each time we gather and ask God to Do It Again! Finally we will pray for 20 different churches in Monmouth and Ocean County each time we gather.

Pray For the Governor

Pray for the recovery of the Governor of New Jersey, The Honorable John Corzine who was in a serious accident last night. Acting Governor Richard Cody is asking for houses of worship throughout the state to remember Governor Corzine in our prayers. Pray for healing and restoration to health. Pray also that God will use these circumstances to demonstrate His loving care to our Governor and that the people of God will reach out to the Governor with their love and prayers.

I want to thank the Ocean County Pastors Prayer Fellowship for your prayers for our church and my family. Almost immediately after these pastors prayed for my family, the Lord moved mightily and brought my daughter through a trying time.

I really appreciate the power of Pastors, the watchmen, shepherds over the Ocean County flock getting together in the strong name of our Lord Jesus Christ!!

Campus Checkup April 28th

On Saturday, April 28^th the Ocean County Youth Leaders Network, Youth Alive, ECS Youth, and FCA are participating together to put on destination:campus student evangelism conference called Right Here, Right Now at King of Kings Community Church in Manahawkin.

This is a one day training and equipping event to better enable our students to strategize in making the ministry to their high school campus the most effective. We’ll talk about PRAYER, UNITY, LEADING, SHARING & EQUIPPING along with a variety of campus reaching workshops. Worship is be by the Chris Colletti Band www.chriscollettiband.com and workshop speakers will be various youth and campus leaders.

Our desire for this day is, that our students from each of our churches who attend all our schools…will be encouraged, equipped, and leave with a plan to allow their faith to shine in the mission field to which they find themselves…their school campus. Let’s work together to see Every Student in Every School, in Every Community be reached.
