Patricia Marie Tumulak is a fashion model and beauty queen from the Philippines. She competed in the ninth edition of the national Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant and was crowned Miss Philippines Fire 2009.

Tumulak joined the national Miss Philippines Earth 2009 beauty pageant, which was co-produced by Carousel Productions and ABS–CBN Broadcasting Corporation. The pageant was participated by 50 delegates representing various towns, cities, provinces, and overseas Filipino communities in the beauty contest that promotes environmental awareness. The event was telecast on Channel 2 in the Philippines and by The Filipino Channel internationally.

In the final competition of the Miss Philippines Earth 2009, she was announced as one of the 10 semi-finalists who moved forward to compete for the title. She achieved one of the five highest scores in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions for her stage chops, which advanced her as one of the top five finalists to participate in the final round of the event.

At the conclusion of the pageant, she won and was crowned Miss Philippines Fire 2009. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Kristelle Lazaro at the The Arena Entertainment and Recreational Center of the People, San Juan City, Philippines.

She joined last year in Binibining Pilipinas 2011 but she only landed in the top 15.

Year of the Dragon: Asian Domination in Miss Universe

We all know that Asian delegates had a hard time in getting into semis of Miss Universe Competition. But there are years that Asians were the one that dominated.

In 1988, Asia dominated Miss Universe in the year of the Dragon with four Asians in the top 5 with Mexico as the only Latina. Thailand's Porntip Nakhirunkanok grabbed the crown. I wanna watch it and see how these four Asian ladies graced MU. Chang Yoonjung of Korea won 1st runner up, Mizuho Sakaguchi of Japan was 3rd runner up and Pauline Yeung of Hongkong was 4th runner up.

In 1952, also a year of the Dragon and the start of the Miss Universe, one Asian dominated the top 5, Hongkong's Judy Dan ended 3rd runner up.

In 1964, another year of the Dragon, two Asians dominated again the top 5: Ronit Rechtman of Israel (2nd runner up) and Lana Yu Yi of China (4th runner up).

In 1976, year of the Dragon, Israel's Rina Messinger won the crown. Based on the pictures, she deserved it.

In 2000, yes a Dragon year, another Asian won the crown: Lara Dutta of India. She is the only who entered the top 10 (semifinalists). I saw the pageant and Lara was sparkling on stage and her answer was the key in winning.

Now, the year 2012 is another Dragon year, will Asian still dominate? Another Asian MU? Will history repeats itself?

Christmas is all about celebrating and having fun with your loved ones. Part of this celebration is having parties, drinks and FIRECRACKERS.

Here in Davao City, any form of firecrackers is banned. Once you have been caught, you will eventually be imprisoned for quite some time. It has been ten years since the implementation of this policy. Because of this ban, it has saved hundreds of people and property. It has also saved civilians from losing their fingers and their eyesight, among others.

The ban is not limited only to Christmas and New Year. Firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices are banned as well in the celebration of the Chinese New Year and the Muslims’ Eid’l Fitr.

Ordinance 060-02 penalizes:

first offenders with a fine of P1,000 or imprisonment of 20 to 30 days, or both;
second offenders with a fine of P3,000 or imprisonment of from one to three months or both;
and third offenders, a fine of P5,000 or imprisonment of from three to six months, or both

Davao City is not totally against Christmas celebration. In fact, the city government installed several speakers in the Downtown area specifically in San Pedro Street to play Christmas songs. A Christmas light float parade was also held.

This year is another SILENT NIGHT Christmas Eve in Davao City. I still prefer celebrating the holidays without firecrackers. You will really feel the essence of Christmas in your hearts.

When I was still young, I am fond of playing online role-playing games like Ragnarok. The character that I always choose is the Mage (Magician, Wizard, Sorcerer) character or someone that uses magic. Why? Since then, I always like MAGIC! So role-playing a mage, would somewhat make me powerful in magic. Anyways, here are some of the list of mage characters in massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG):

1. Mage and Wizard in Ragnarok

In Ragnarok, Mage or Magicians who acquire enough experience in magic are given the choice of becoming a Wizard which are powerful spell-casters and have access to a wide array of area of effect spells

2. Magician in Flyff

Magician is a job class that involves dealing magical damage from a distance by casting spells. You will learn spells as skills, and be able to use them to deal massive damage to monsters. You will also have lower defense, lower HP, and a delay time in casting spells, but you will ultimately be casting massively damaging spells if you do it right. As a Magician you'll be using staffs and wands to cast magic spells. You may also wear light armor. A useful stat for a Magician is Int. (Intelligence), which will increase your magic attack power, and maximum MP.

3. Mage in World of Warcraft

Students gifted with a keen intellect and unwavering discipline may walk the path of the mage. The arcane magic available to magi is both great and dangerous, and thus is revealed only to the most devoted practitioners.

4. Mage in GodsWar Online

The Mage is just like a Champion only the mage focusses on Magical attack, also the attacks aren't just as high as a Champion but his huge amount of skills is a good point of advantage wich champions don't have. they also focus on far distance fights not on close distance what gives them a advantage, but just like the champion, they don't have a good armor and will be killed fast if they are frozen or stunned. also close distance fight isn't a good choice if you're a mage, in the beginning you will just do 1 damage per hit.

Last Thursday, on your show "Umagang Kay Ganda," you made the following comments on the death of two minors involved in a shooting in Pampanga City:

I would like to dissect your commentary and tell you first hand, as a self-identifying gay man, why your commentary reflects a perspective that needs much re-education on "gay things." Let me begin by saying that the shooting incident had very little to do with the gender of the two victims. Meaning to say, it could have happened to any other straight couple. That is why I am still wondering where your comment is coming from seeing that the focus of the segment was the lack of security of the mall and the lack of guidance from the side of the victims' parents. In fact, the gender of the victims only became the topic when you deliberately inserted this angle.

First of all, I wonder why you find issue in how early children discover their sexual orientation and gender identity. Are you implying that there is a prescribed age for us (you and I included) to express ourselves? If so, how early is too early and when is the right time? Second of all, if TV shows gay things, why is that a bad thing? It is only bad if the portrayal is based on negative stereotypes. But if mass media are able to show the diversity of gender in all its forms, that is definitely a good thing. And third, even if the media stopped showing heterosexual things, it cannot make all viewers gay. Being gay does not come from a rectangular contraption. It is more complicated than that.

The question of their sexuality was only secondary to the real questions at hand - how they got through the security guards and how they got hold of a gun. I actually thought we'd made a lot of headway with the media as far as LGBT activism was concerned, until you made your thoughts public.

Thank you for the compliment, if it is such. But actually, by calling us "third sex" and perpetuating the stereotype that gays are good when it comes to "performances and other things," you have already discriminated against us and have already taken away our rights. Take my word for it Mr. Taberna, do not use the terminology "third sex." Also, I would advise you to open your mind and realize that we are not limited to "performances and other things." My partner, for example, is a university instructor who is currently a PhD Math candidate. Yes, we are capable of a wide variety of things aside from "performances."

I see nothing wrong with flaunting "gayness" the same way that I don't see anything wrong with flaunting "straightness." If you mean what you say, then you should not take away children's right to express their identity, i.e., to flaunt whatever they want to flaunt. I hope I make it clear that I am not attacking you personally. I am merely engaging you in meaningful discussion to help you understand what we are fighting for and the important role you and the media play in LGBT activism.

August 29 is a regular holiday in celebration of National Heroes day.

August 30 is also a holiday celebrating Eid ul-Fitr which is a conclusion of the Ramadan of Muslims.

National Heroes Day day is dedicated to the memory of the Philippine heroes all throughout history of our nation. It is observed every last Monday of August. It is a regular holiday marking the Cry of Pugad Lawin by Filipino Revolutionary forces called the Katipunan led by its Supremo Andres Bonifacio.

Eid ul-Fitr. The first day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, is declared a national holiday for the observance of Eid ul-Fitr, or the Feast of Breaking the Fast (of Ramadhan, the ninth month). The law was enacted in deference to the Filipino Muslim community and to promote peace among the major religions in the Philippines.

I got a chance to talk personally to the owner and founder of Club Mwah! Mr. Pocholo Malilin. He emphasized that the performance and productions of Club Mwah is high-end and very different from what we see in reality tv programs and movies. Philippine celebrities, ambassadors and royal family members from different countries watch Club Mwah! becuse of its prestige performers and production numbers. He said that his inspiration for having this event is the true meaning and essence of dancing and performing.

Club Mwah also received several awards both nationally and internationally. The club was awarded awarded as the Outstanding Theatre Club in Asia in the Asian Pacific Award Council in 2007 and received a Global Award of Excellence in the Theatre Club in 2008, which was awarded in Bangkok Thailand by the Asian Pacific Award Council.

Follies de Mwah concert ensures a dazzling and colorful entertainment of high-society level with a cheaper and convenient price tickets. It will show in Davao on August 19 at the CAP Auditorium and in Tagum on August 20 at the UM Gymnasium.

Ticket prices ranges Php. 500, Php. 800, Php. 1000 and Php. 1200. The performers of this show are same performers of the bar used by Banana Split every Saturday.

I Passed the Civil Service Exam

I cannot believed it. I actually passed the Civil Service exam last May 22, 2011. I never really expected this because I never had any formal review. Thank God! As you can see on the screen grab above, I am on sequence no. 106 and my examinee number is 203545. After two months, my certificate of eligibility will be released. I am so excited to apply in government agencies. As of now, I am still waiting for opportunities. Nevertheless, I am happy, glad, honored and I feel successful. Good luck to me in my next journey!

I got a Google star

My post for Bench I rock Body spray got a star in Google search. According to Google Help, having a star means that your post or blog has been more on personal by searchers. When a user clicks on the star Google will know that particular likes the result and will rank it higher for that particular user. You can use the star to bookmark specific results.

I also got the rank 1 search result for keyword "Bench Spray" and "Bench I Rock". I hope Bench give me credits. Waaah!
