Off My Bird Chest

Milo Ventimiglia - NAKED

2012-10-27T18:23:00.002-04:00

I've decided to just make my blog adult-only. The majority of what I post is okay for everyone, but I found this animated GIF of Milo in Adam Sandler's new-to-DVD movie "That's My Boy" that I just had to run.

That ALMOST makes me want to watch an Adam Sandler movie, but... it's gonna take more than that! More goodness:

More Stephen Amell from Arrow

Happy Monday!

Arrow - Stephen Amell

2012-10-19T19:20:00.001-04:00

I don't think I've ever SWOONED at a TV show more than I do Arrow. Seriously!

Not To Be A Traitor, But...

Admit it. He's pretty fuckin' cute!

But seriously, vote for Obama.

I'm Back!

2012-10-11T21:44:00.003-04:00

Sorry, I've been so inactive lately. Guess I've been busy listening to NOTHING BUT CARLEY RAE JEPSON for the past month. Doesn't leave time for much else.

Anyway, I caught a commercial for "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" with Haley Joel Osment in it and... wow has he grown up! (And out.) He's actually really CUTE now!

He's like the one Hollywood child actor that actually ended up still being cute as an adult!

Tune-In Tuesday - The Return: And Now I'm Poor

2012-09-18T18:46:00.000-04:00

It was a total aPOPcalypse today! Ugh! My poor debit card!

First, the debut album by Carley Rae Jepson, singer of "Call Me Maybe" THE most infectious pop song in like... forever! (Although those One Direction guys gave her a run for her money.) Her follow-up, "Good Time" with Owl City is damn near close! One of those rare artists that can score two "songs of the summer" in the same summer. (Kinda like... well, we'll get to that...)

The new album by P!nk, the baddest bitch in pop music. I don't think she gets enough credit. "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" is poppy and radio-friendly, but this lady has depth and one of the most soulful voices around. Done! (Also both these albums are available at target with four extra songs a piece!)

Finally, speaking of having two songs of the summer, this artists is practically synonymous with that expression...

Katy Perry's behind-the-scenes documentary Part of Me also came out today. I saw it in theaters and it was VERY good. It's surprisingly emotional, because she doesn't hold anything back and you really get a look at her struggle to get where she is and... well, of course you get to see the breakdown of her marriage to Russell Brand, who is tellingly absent from most of the film. The drama is punctuated with live performances from her "California Dreams" tour which lasted roughly a year and took her all over the world. Definitely two thumbs up!

Here's the trailer:

Rewatching it, I just realized that they guy dancers' pants are totally designed to draw attention to their butts. And the dancer in teal is totally hot.

Rob Gronkowski

2012-09-17T20:00:00.003-04:00

I think I've found a suitable replacement for unhealthy obsession with Tim Tebow. Introducing Rob Gronkowski!

Awww! Cute!

Team Christopher!

2012-09-15T17:58:00.001-04:00

Not since Robert Best from Season 3 of Project Runway, have I simply adored a contestant the way I do Christopher Palu this season!

A. Dor. A. Ble. RIGHT?! He's just so cute and soft-spoken and NICE. He and Gunnar didn't get along, and being a gay man, he might make a barbed comment here or there, but he's not a BITCH, y'know? That's refreshing! In fact, this season, the girls seem bitchier than the boys! That's pretty unusual. Then again when the women on PR are bitches they are MONSTER BITCHES! Like Gold medal C-Bags!

^^ Here he is reacting to one of his fellow contestants. Bitchy but cute!

He isn't this super innovative designer. I like his work, but I doubt he'll win. Anything is possible, though, but he's not a break-out. But he could be a dark horse. He's just one of those people when I see him onscreen, he just makes me happy.

That is all! Go Christopher!

The Extremely Late 'Dark Knight Rises' Reaction

2012-09-03T16:49:00.000-04:00

Oh look a post with actual words and no pics of shirtless celebrities! Wait, where ya going...?

Okay, so... it was good. I know, right? NO ONE had that reaction. People consider these the best super hero movies ever. I don't know that I can even consider them super hero movies! Batman wears a mask, yes, but his suit is otherwise... like a real suit of body armor. Like people actually have this. SWAT teams and soldiers and such, right? The entire movie... all three of them are like that. Everything is just realistic.
But comics aren't realistic. That's the whole point. Well, super hero comics anyway. There are true crime comics and military comics and stuff... I don't read those, I read super hero comics. Batman might just be human, but he fights Killer Croc and Clayface and super human creatures. Everybody in these movies is just human, even Bane. In the comics, Batman is in the Justice League, which has a base in outer space. He travels through time and into different dimensions. That's what made "Batman: The Brave & The Bold" so great! They didn't shy away from every outrageous aspect of the character's history and universe. The movies? Nothing BUT shying away from the source material.

Case in point, the villains. Ra's Al-Ghul? Nothing like the comic character. Bane? Very little like the comic book character. Catwoman? Yes, very much like the comic book character, who like Batman is an ordinary human. Now some of the characters are pretty accurate. Alfred and Lucius Fox are great. Commissioner Gordon is pretty accurate, but how annoying was that part where he finally "realized" Batman was Bruce Wayne? Didn't he already know that? Weren't there already clues that he knew? Isn't it a given? I didn't get that at all.

Who the hell is John Blake? Screw that guy. Same for Rachel in the previous movies, whoever she's played by. That's another problem I have... they just make stuff up. These movies aren't adaptations of the comics, they're inspired by the comics.

Back to the realism thing, I've never liked the tanks they use in these movies. They're realistic military type weapons, but... none of them was really a car. They never used the word "Batmobile" in any of them. Maybe that doesn't bother everyone. I guess it makes more sense, because the idea of Batman sitting in traffic is kind of ridiculous.

Maybe I'm just old and crotchety. I mean, the movies are good, but there's no wonder or fantasy in them. I just don't see enough of the source material in them. There's no way in hell this version of Batman would work in a Justice League movie. It would be like throwing the 1960s Adam West Batman into this movie universe. It just wouldn't fit. It would make no sense. So despite John Blake's actions at the end of this movie, I hope this is the last we see of this universe.

While on the subject, here my two cents on Green Lantern. Hard reboot. From scratch. Bye Ryan Reynolds. He wasn't awful or anything. I didn't even dislike the movie as much as most people did. But the movie has come and gone. No one remembers it. No one wants more. It didn't even find a second life on home video. It's just faded from memory. So let's just let it go and start over. Maybe even focus on a different Lantern. John Stewart still resonates and worked excellently in "Justice League Unlimited."

Hmmm, oh that? ^^^ Just thought something was missing from this post.

My iTunes' Dirty Little Secret

2012-09-03T16:16:00.000-04:00

I found my Shuffle which I haven't used in a while and decided to wipe it clean and reload it with music for the gym, i.e. inst-inst-inst-inst-inst-inst club mixes. This involved scrolling through my entire library looking for music until I filled the whole thing up, which happened around the letter D. So I had to narrow my allowances. Even so I realized there were a disproportionate number of songs by mediocre but cute male singers. Looking at you Jesse McCartney and Blake Lewis. I also noticed I have a large number of songs, like albums and albums by guys I think are cute. I don't even listen to whole albums! Here are some favorites:

Chris Isaak - Although to be fair, his voice is my favorite male voice ever. It's just so smooth and dreamy, it makes me swoon. The female equivalent is k.d. lang.

Duncan Sheik - Like with Chris Isaak, I expect most people have "Wicked Game." With Duncan, most people probably have "Barely Breathing." What makes it a problem is that I have a LOT more than that. Albums and albums!

Joshua Radin - Also a problem, because listening to more than three songs in a row by him makes me want to either fall asleep or kill someone.

Blake Lewis - He had a minor hit called "How Many Words" which as good. He also had a bunch of other incredibly mediocre, really poorly written singles... I don't only have them, I have the club remixes!

Jesse McCartney - Yup. Purely gratuitous. Bonus, he plays Nightwing on "Young Justice."

Michael Buble - Worst one, because I can't STAND his voice. It's so fake sounding! And he mostly just sings songs by Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett and so forth. I'll just stick with the originals. To be fair, I'm pretty sure everything I have by him was free. And they're club mixes, so of course I'm a sucker for those. I think there's a Christmas song in there too. I don't listen to Christmas music.

Any Excuse For Josh Hutcherson

Found some new pics of Josh...

Dapper!

Michael Phelps

2012-08-20T19:07:00.001-04:00

Michael Phelps got into some hot water (ha ha) when his ad campaign for Louis Vuitton leaked early, possibly violating rules about Olympians endorsing products that are not Olympics-related. Of course they're not going to be douchy about it and actually take away his medals. That would be a public relations DISASTER! Also, I feel bad that his thunder was basically stolen by ~~the hotter~~ Ryan Lochte, this year. Here's Michael looking quite hot in an earlier Head and Shoulders ad:

Tim Tebow

2012-08-14T14:07:00.002-04:00

So I'm torn. I disagree with EVERYTHING about Tim Tebow. Hate his politics, hate his bible-thumping, hate this haughtiness. And yet, DAMN he's hot! In a way, ogling him is rebellion! Yeah, that's the ticket!

I'd probably still hit it as long as there was absolutely no conversation.

Tom Daley = Fabulous

2012-08-13T19:28:00.000-04:00

Well the Olympics are over and it was a fun fortnight! (That's British ya'll!) The Closing Ceremonies were fun and way better than the Opening Ceremonies! SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!! One of the best parts of the Summer Olympics... scantily clad dudes with rockin' bods. One of the best of those on display this year? British diver Tom Daley! Work it, boy!

Bonus... animated GIFS!

Tom Hardy and BABY Rapping!

2012-07-29T19:30:00.000-04:00

Since his handsome mug is obscured by that huge mask in "The dark Knight Rises," you may have forgotten how goooooorgeous Tom Hardy is. Here is a video of his dropping some sick rhymes, all the while holding his new baby Louis! My panties dropped, how about you?

More Ben Cohen

2012-07-18T16:04:00.003-04:00

More Ben action! He and Bluebuck underwear are teamed up to sell a limited edition line that will benefit his Stand Up charity to fight bullying.

Yum!

Ben Cohen

2012-07-16T16:24:00.002-04:00

This one actually has a message. Ben Cohen, rugby tough guy, has been hard at work promoting his nonprofit charity Stand Up which is taking aim at teen bulying of gay kids. Apparently, this involves him taking off his clothes. Now THAT is what I call charity!

Brad Goreski

2012-07-12T18:04:00.002-04:00

I think these are old, but I just found them. My darling Brad Goreski... who I adore and always thought was cute, DAYYYYYUM!!! I didn't know he was workin' with all this! ZEXI!
