Sing Sing My Darling is not a song, but the name of a band. "Lady" is a song they released recently and it's a pretty chill track. The quartet hails from Toulouse, France and is currently on tour promoting their EP. I seriously recommended checking out their other release "Disco Love" as well.

Brooklyn indie band Grizzly Bear are gonna be in Miami Beach next Tuesday, June 18th for a show at The Fillmore. Our friends at The Fillmore have asked us if we'd like to do a giveaway for the show, so of course we had to say yes! I know Mike has been a big fan of theirs who has covered them for years. Grizzly Bear is supporting their 2012 album Shields and will be supported by Majical Cloudz.

Check out a couple singles from Shields, "Gun Shy" and "Yet Again", as well as their video for "Gun Shy". Disclosure :: Settle

An album I've been obsessing over since it was released last week is the debut album Settle from young UK duo/brothers Disclosure. These fellows are just 18 and 21 yrs old and have possibly released one of the early contenders for dance album of the year. The album infuses elements of deep house, edm, acid and holding it all together, a pop sensibility. It reminds me a bit of artists like Basement Jaxx who also cross similar boundaries and have similar styles. Although Disclosure tends to be a little more subduded than Basement Jaxx's over the top style. If these styles are your thing I highly recommend you check out this release, although I warn you, you may become hooked like I have.

Check out a few of their tunes below. First single/video for the infectious "If a Fire Starts to Burn", "F for You" and my favorite track on the album, the ultra smooth house number "Defeated No More" (which unfortunately is only a minute and a half snippet). If you dig these, odds are you will love the rest of the record and should definitely look into it.

Hard to believe our good friends Modernage have been rocking the Miami indie scene for 10 years, but that my friends is a fact. I know cause I was there, haha. To commemorate the occasion they have released a beautiful new tune called "The Williams" which we are glad to debut on OTR. One of the loveliest tracks I've ever heard from them.

Check out the track/promo video for it below and congrats on this notable achievement! Many bands would love to say they reached that milestone.

David Lynch & Lykke Li :: I'm Waiting Here

Famous director turned musician, David Lynch, is releasing a follow up to the very good "Crazy Clown Time" this coming July 16. It's called "The Big Dream" and though not released yet, you can sample some of the songs on iTunes here.

This single is a collaboration with Lykke Li, whose ghostly voice caresses this haunting track. It's really the type of music you'd expect Lynch to make.

Don't know much about Chicago duo Gauntlet Hair, but after hearing their new single/video "Human Nature" from their upcoming album Stills out July 16th I am a fan. What an amazing slow grooving jam! Reminds me of the vibe of bands like The Horrors. If dark shoegaze type jams are your thing, this should be right up your alley. Check it...

Really great mid-tempo jam. Got to meet these fellows during WMC and they were super nice dudes. Can't wait to hear more from them, especially if this is a sign as to the direction they're heading.

Nine Inch Nails :: Return! New Album / Tour in 2013

You know retirement for artists usually don't stick, especially when years go by and the urge returns, as we found out recently when legendary industrial band Nine Inch Nails announced a new album Hesitation Marks and world tour in 2013. Being as I am a long time NIN fan (Pretty Hate Machine is probably one of my all time favorite albums) I was pretty excited about the news. They just released a new single "Came Back Haunted" today which is our first taste of the new record and it is pretty sweet! Classic NIN. Sounds like a mixture of Pretty Hate Machine and With Teeth to me. In other words really, really good. Excited to hear the whole thing when it's released Sept 3rd.

Pretty excited about the Charli XCX show we have coming up this Saturday, June 8th at our weekly party His & Hers at The Garret. First heard about UK's Charli XCX when Aramis would play "You (Ha Ha Ha)" back when we first started His & Hers earlier this year, and every time he did I would be like "who is that?" Amazingly catchy pop tune that I still have not gotten tired of. Since then I have listened to her debut album True Romance and have become a fan. Seems she also wrote Icona Pop's big breakthrough hit "I Love It" which I'm pretty sure you've probably heard on some commercial or TV show at some point in the last year or so. All pretty amazing for a girl all of 20 years young! Don't miss her at this intimate show before she blows up. Next time she comes around it may be at a much bigger venue. In fact I'm pretty sure of that.

Also on the bill for this show is Kitty Pryde and Little Daylight who has this amazing track "Overdose", which is an irrissistable electro pop gem. Can't wait to catch them live as well. Kitsune's been having a great summer, having Club Nights throughout major cities around the world. We had one in Miami a few weeks ago at our weekly Saturday Night Party His & Hers at The Garret, where the amazing Fred Falke rocked the house. They have a big one coming up June 22nd in London at the Village Underground with Lindstrom, Classixx, Punks Jump Up & Pyramid who put together a DJ Mix to get people excited for the event. Since it's Friday I figured today would be the perfect day to post this baby up and get everyone excited for some weekend dancing of our own. If you like what you hear the mix is free for the taking. So I ran into this really cool Breakbot remix of Phoenix's "Trying to Be Cool", one of my favorite tracks from their new album Bankrupt! As I was looking for it on soundcloud I realized that Phoenix had given away the stems for the track and there were literally hundreds of remixes out for the track. As I started going through them I realized many of them were really great, so instead of just making this post about the Breakbot remix I thought I would post a few of our favorites.

Below you can find a few of those, but there are literally tons more on soundcloud, most free for the taking. So if you have a little time I'd go to soundcloud and do even more research on your own. I'm sure you will find many to your liking. Happy hunting!

Umm, what was I saying about all the amazing albums being released this year? Well here's another one! Scottish electronic duo Boards of Canada who haven't released any new material since 2006's Trans Canada Highway EP are getting ready to release new album Tomorrow's Harvest on June 11th. The first taste we've gotten from the record is first single/video for "Reach for the Dead", which is just about as lovely as they come. Beautiful organic electronic deliciousness. Cannot wait to hear the rest of that album. Luckily the day is almost upon us.

For now wrap your head around "Reach for the Dead".

Queens of the Stone Age :: ...Like Clockwork

2013 the year of amazing albums continues... Another highly anticipated record coming our way June 4th is ...Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age. For this record they re-enlisted the drumming help of Dave Grohl who worked with them on their two previous break out records 2000's Rated R (which I was obsessed with) and 2002's Songs for the Death which had the mega-hit "No One Knows". So far they've released two tracks from the album "My God is the Sun" and "I Appear Missing" which both feature animated videos and their trademark stoner rock sound. I'm sure the album will be a pleaser.

With all the excitement surrounding Daft Punk's new album RAM which was just released yesterday there is bound to be a million remixes coming out this summer and beyond. One of OTR's favorite remixers Theater of Delays took a stab at one of my fave tracks from the album, the Panda Bear collab "Doin' it Right" and he did a phenomenal job. Played it out this past weekend and some of my friends that don't even like Daft Punk were asking me "this is Daft Punk?" Yes it is...

Tesla Boy :: The Universe Made of Darkness

Another great album that dropped yesterday is The Universe Made of Darkness, the sophomore album from Russian dream wave act Tesla Boy. We covered their excellent single "Fantasy" last year here. Universe continues with Tesla's 80's new wave inspired synthpop sound with a bit of an r&b twist on a few of the tracks. Digging the record! Some of my early favorites include :: "Stars", "Broken Doll" ft Tyson, "Dream Machine", "M.C.H.T.E." and "Fantasy", but really they're all pretty sweet.

The National :: Trouble Will Find Me

Today one of my favorite bands The National release their new album Trouble Will Find Me. Been listening to it the last few days and I can safely say it is another master stroke from these amazing musicians. Gonna take a little time to see if it can topple 2010's stellar High Violet, which was my favorite album of that year, but if you are a fan of theirs you will not be disappointed. Ever since 2005's Alligator I have been a fan of this band and have been continually been impressed with each new release seemingly topping the last.

I don't know how my friend Lex does it, but he's always sending me amazing remixes, many from artists that I've never heard before. Like this beaut he sent my way today for "Last Day" by Tomharu remixed by Tokyo producer Bazz that is pretty fabulous. Light and fresh like a warm summer day. New Holy Ghost? Yes please! Having been released the day Daft Punk put their new album as a free stream on iTunes means "Dumb Disco Ideas" may have gotten lost in the shuffle, but it's a pretty sweet track. Their first new single from their upcoming album Dynamics which does not have a release date yet. Not too fond of the video (find it rather boring), but hey can't win them all. They will be on tour this year with the legendary New Order. Can't wait for the new album. For now check out this first one...
