Okay, so you purchased your own personal domain (such as myhotblog.com) at GoDaddy, and you have successfully connected your blog or whatever website content to the domain name (for example, follow these instructions for Blogger). However, your site only works if you type www before the name. For example,

This works: www.myhotblog.com
This does not work: myhotblog.com

WHY NOT?? Here's how to fix it:

1. Log in to your GoDaddy account, navigate to My Account and click on the name of the website.

2. Notice that Forwarding (last on the list under Domain Info) is set to "Off". Click "Manage" to change this.

3. Type in the name of your domain WITH the www, click okay and then you're done!

GoDaddy will now promise that your site will redirect correctly within an hour.

Note: I photoshopped in myhotblog.com in this example - from what I can tell if you want this site, it is available for purchase (No, I don't own it - go for it!).

Ever need to rename a whole batch of photos? For example, a friend gives you a disc of photos from your party with helpful names like IMG-0324, IMG-0325, IMG-0326 and you already HAVE a bunch of photos with these "names"? You can either keep them in their own special folder (Bonfire photos-KEVIN) or you're going to have to rename each photo. In truth there are lots of ways to do this, including free programs you can download and detailed tutorials in Photoshop.

I know it is lame and probably because my office computer is still running Windows XP, but I just don't have the patience to wait for Photoshop to open to do simple things.

Here's the fastest way to rename all those photos on your PC:

1. Select all photos you want to rename.

2. Right-click on one photo and select "Rename" from the menu.

3. Rename one photo.

Click return - DONE!
