AW12: INFINITY AND BEYOND

AW12 has shaped up nicely, with warm pallets, blacks, leather Gothic glamour and sexy back Military wear. The metallic's are in like the brightness of SS12, fresh and bright collecting the light and showing the futuristic side to the runways!

Jil Sander shows us clean cut and how things should be done, DIOR shows us the ways of the new head Raf Simmons and his close up with artist Georges Seurat. Osman Temperley & Dries chuck in the Oriental trend, and this is coherent thorough-out.

Autumn Winter 12 has to be one of my favorites, and in particular GILES GILES GILES expressive head gear is back with a bang, finally I have a chance to be a ugly model! Even in Paris Couture the house of MMM (Maison Martin Margiela) we see covered faces, but jeweled faces with backdrops and lashings of futuristic design aspects! Collars for Marni and spikes for Zanotti mixed with deep lust of purples.

Make up trends show anything super sexy goes, NARS have some fantastic products and exclusive colors to show, still as ever - statement lip is in.

Co-Trends are Hollywood glamour, as seen on the cover of VANITY FAIR and sexiness of MAISON VALENTINO proves love is never ending.

DOCTOR DOCTOR: IM UNDER THE FLORALS

Dolce & Gabbana: that showcased a few fantastic designs featuring floral trend during their Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 runway show. Intricate floral embroidery was seen on everything from dresses and jumpsuits to bags and shoes, typical yet classic for Dolce!

Burberry Prorsum: floral’s was muted, perfect if you like the monotone look. I don’t think Bailey can step out of line at all.

Erdem:gave us dark and at times a little gloomy but they were very beautiful. Slowly creeping into the gothic feel.

Temperley London: Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection were bold and bright with flowers making them look lively and cheerful.

Osman: Battle of the mixes, more complicated yet strangely interesting. I can’t say its never been done before, but one of the first for Osman

McQ: Fun sexy and floral, complete opposite as the brand has been re-invented. I love this look as its edgy and feminine at the same time. Being a full skirt it shows the classic-ness, showing a new DNA?

Marc Jacobs: didn’t use floral’s as the focus in his collection; although they did play an important part balancing rather flamboyant outfits that the house created. I’m still not feeling this cold print with a vile mustard…?

AW12: GOTHIC GLAMOUR

PANT WETTINGLY SEXY I think that's the only way to describe the Gothic glamour feel to Autumn Winter 2012. showing sophistication yet easy wearable items. Its all about the dark side, leather skirts, staple pieces red and black mixed, one shoulder detailing like Kimberley Ovitz, (far right) sheer yet sexy finishes for Maison Valentino (arguably the best).Needless to say this season, although its dark, its gothic, its glam, the make up and hair of the runway trends are pretty simple and easy to wear. (post to follow).

It brings me back to the bondage style, where we saw last Autumn Winter 11 with London's Kate Moss smoking in hotpants, fur on top and the croydon face lift, known with moss, smoking a cigarette on the runway.

Ok, on the plus Marni shown us attention to detail on their neck designs, some runway styles and brands we see the peter pan collar come back (like Giles for LFW AW12), but Marni shown us simple staple pieces, and half the bloody price of Lagerfeld's fancy one! See the most wearable below:

AW12 STYLE: ELECTRIC GEOMETRIC

Autumn/Winter 2012 shows, including Dries Van Noten, Kenzo, Peter Pilotto, & Erdem. Out with your average tribal/aztec/animal prints and in with dizzying opticals, from intricate geometric patterns to the bright and bold. It's always nice to have a clash, and I think personal best goes to Prada and Miu Miu for the contrasts and changes in colour.

I was asked the other day what was my favorite runway collection/show this season from London Fashion week, and I have to stay without a doubt its Giles. He seems to have this way of thinking like no one else,with the historic connection of Edward Burra's Paintings, and clean fresh silks with forward elaboration headwear, perfect.
