How To Send BulkSMS To Many Phone Numbers

If you want to send the same message to many people, login to www.ogbongesms.com and click on the “Compose Bulk” as indicated in the picture below:

When sending Bulk Messages, you can choose to receive “Delivery Report” via your email address that you provided in the box as indicated above.

You can type the phone numbers one per line as shown in the picture above or you import a text file that already contains the phone numbers.

How To Customize Text Messages Sender's Name

At OgbongeSMS, you can customize your text messages with any name you want. The customized name is what will be displayed on the receiver's phone as the Sender's name.

To do this, login to your account at www.ogbongesms.com

You will be taken to the "Compose" Page.

Scroll down till you see the box where you can type in your "Sender's ID" as indicated in the picture below:

That's all.

Note: the Sender's ID should not be more than 11 characters.

How To Schedule SMS To Be Delivered At Particular Day/Time

There are instances when you will want sms to be delivered at a specific time but somehow, you might not be chanced to send the sms at that particular time. Well, with the "Schedule SMS" feature of OgbongeSMS, you can set SMS to be delivered at any future time/ date.

When your message is ready to be sent via the Compose page, click “Send Later At” instead of “Send Now”. Set the Time and Date you wish to send the message as indicated in the picture below.

When you re through, just click the “Queue message" button.

The message will be delivered on the set time and date. This is good for birthday messages etc.

About Sender ID/ delivery issues with MTN Nigeria

We regret to inform you that we are currently experiencing repeated delivery issues on the Nigerian MTN network. According to our internal investigation, the network has implemented a strict filter on incoming traffic, one that does not allow alphanumeric sender ID to be used.

To ensure delivery under such conditions, we will be automatically changing all senders for incoming traffic to a randomly generated numeric value.

We are working hard with MTN on mitigating the issue, while closely monitoring the situation as it further develops. As soon as we have additional information regarding this change, we'll update you accordingly.
