Why The Drumset And Laptop Is Our Modern Day Piano

By 1800, the piano had overtaken the harpsichord as THE instrument of choice, after being ushered in by the likes of Haydn and Beethoven. (you've heard of those guys, right?) The piano was EVERYWHERE; new piano works were being churned out every single day, and the dominance of the piano is still reminiscent today in the use of it in many genres, as well as being one of the world's most popular musical instruments. The piano changed everything, and I think for the better.

Fast forward some 200 years. This doesn't sound like anything those cats back in the day would have even thought of, but this is what's rising in the music world:

Tons of electronic shit. It's everywhere. Not just in dance music either; it's in rock, hip-hop, and I even heard some of it in a country tune I heard out of nowhere. (it's ok though; country music still sucks) But think about it; we use laptops and DAW's (digital audio workstation; see: Garageband, Pro Tools, etc) for drums more than ever. With technology, we can emulate any type of drum sound, create any type of drum sound, then take those drum sounds and morph and fuck with them until they're new drum sounds! This wouldn't be possible without the rise of the drumset though.

The drumset was first used in the late 1800's with the popularity of brass bands. When brass bands were asked to perform in a parade, they wanted a single person to cover all the percussion parts at the same time, and thus the drumset was born. From there, it became a pivotal instrument in the rising popularity of jazz and early rock. In the 70's with the beginnings and rise of electronic music, drums are what drove early EDM pieces. Early DJ's would loop drums and use them to put over other tracks in the club to really get that shit going.

From there, the drumset has planted itself in rock, but aside and jazz (and the occasional hip-hop performance), the acoustic drumset has been replaced with sounds from a computer. Unless you're listening to classic rock or maybe an alternative radio station, most of what you're hearing is electronic drum sounds. You honestly think that someone actually played to the Swedish House Mafia tune I played above?

The piano had been ushered in by the big names in classical music after hearing the beauty of the instrument. (remember when I said Haydn and Beethoven earlier? Yeah.) Electronic drum kits were brought in by the sheer enjoyment of trying something new and groundbreaking, and yes, because they also sound fucking awesome. The piano was used everywhere. So are drumkits, acoustic or otherwise.

The point I'm trying to make is this; the piano ran train on any other instrument in its' day (except for maybe the all-too-dominant violin), and the influence of the drumset being transferred into electronic format in our current era is likened to that of the dominance of the piano in the 1800's. It's everywhere. People are doing new things with it everyday. You can't go half an hour without hearing the influence out there somewhere. It's in all genres today in one form of another, and I will debate that point to the very end. (mainly because I know that I'm right in that point) No, the piano and drumsets/drum sounds/laptops/lalala are very different. But the influence that they bring/brought to the table in their respective eras are very similar, and should be taken seriously. With everything changing from one day to the next in a society where you can't afford to miss a beat, what else will the drums do to further their impact on today's music?

Being 21 Sucks

I just turned 21 two weeks ago. It's been fun, but it's been hell. Raging out every night has it's price. Here are my reasons for hating the golden age for future alcoholics:

An accurate representation of my time being 21 years of age.

1) All the minors want you to buy for them. I live with two underagers, and the amount of money I've lost from being given an incorrect amount of money, or the complicated process of sorting out money, is staggering. Plus, you get sick of making multiple runs to your local store to pick up shit.

2) IT IS SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. I went out for the first time to downtown Columbus and checked out the bars there with a party bus of friends. I blew through $70 so fast. This included buying some drinks for a few kids (it was 18+) while they paid me back in cash, and my wallet was STILL empty. Good god. I've never blown through so much money so quick.

3) It gets messy. After your third day of slamming a 12-pack of Dos Equis, the bottles tend to add up a little bit. My house was a disaster, and our beer garden we had growing in our front yard actually got us in trouble. Clean yo shit.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I clean up after myself.

4) It's painful. The night of my 21st, I remember 45 minutes into my night, then woke up on a couch at 9a with soaking wet pants. (see: waterfall) The next day we raged out and I woke up with the worst hangover I've had in a while. I've forgotten what sobriety is nowadays, and the awful headache that accompanies that feeling doesn't help.

For all you underagers out there awaiting that glorious day, respect the people buying you your alcohol, because we do a lot to make sure that YOU are our bad decision of the night.

Wizards

So. Lemme tell you abut quite the possibly greatest frinking game of all time: Wizards. his shit is the shit; it'll get you drunk and you'll have a lt of fun with it. I'm like 12 beers in along with some Lemon G to pregame.

This sin't the right wizard, goddammit.

Wizards is a drinking game requiring multiple people. The bjec tof this game is to drink the most. Whever drinks the most gets bragging rights, plus whatever else you might want to award. To playu, you need cans of beer and duct tape. You start by drinking your first beer. Once you're done, you'll tape your next beer on top of that. once done with taht, you tape the next beet on top of that. Soon enough, you have a very large "staff." Let me tell you; it's a great drinking game. This is my 3rd time playing currently: the first timie I finished 11 beers (the prefivious record), but woke up in a bathtub. The second time involved me passing out after 9 beers in about 2 hours. Poor showing.

Right now, a friend went home with another frined after 16 beers in. I'm on 12 now, and I'm not tired. I'll be drinking all night to kick his motherfuckin' ass ho.. It's gonna get real. There might b picutures the enxt time I mak e a post, btu we'll see.

No Internet Sucks

So I went from have a decent post every two days to having no new posts in a while. I had moved places and haven't had wi-fi set up.... UNTIL NOW. The "Probably Watching Porn" wi-fi network is up and running. That entire time, though, I was so out of the loop with the world. I'm a huge current events person so I read the headlines a few times a day. It's like the world stopped moving around me and I just focused on sitting on my new badass porch. (which is what it felt like, honestly) But we had no idea what was going on, and we were totally disconnected.

No email. No news. (we don't have cable; it's too nice outside to be sitting inside) No Facebook. The world has relied entirely on internet today. The only interactions people had here were my roommates with their fancy iPhones and their super high-tech 3G connections. Think about it; the internet has become our lives in a lot of ways.

The internet connects us all together. Yeah, no shit. People have forgotten what life was before we could see anyone and get anything without leaving our seats, and because of it, the world relies on the internet more than ever. I see this reliability increasing in the future too; the internet is never going to become any less important than it is today. Without it, civilizations today crumble due to the burden of having to actually go out in your car to pay bills and not being able to Tweet about everyfuckingthing that you've done today.

What about the kids? WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS!? They're not going to have the childhood we did. I rode bikes all summer long and got sweet at basketball as a kid. Our kids are going to spend their summers inside sitting on their computers now. At least now, I'm typing this on my porch. Gotta give me some credit. The accessibility of everything today is within a few clicks now; you can do just about everything with a computer nowadays. Why go outside and play when you can kick ass at Call Of Duty and still be entertained? You could Prestige quite a few times if you played all day, all summer.

No, I'm not saying that computers are bad and that the internet is the fall of society as we know it. But go play outside or something. Don't rely on a computer to do everything.

Up And Coming: Mac Miller

Mac Miller is hot shit. This 19-year-old is rising up to the occasion and following his dreams in becoming one the game's top dogs. KIDS broke through the scene and has created a huge following for Mac. I was hesitant to listen to him because honestly, how many 19-year-old white rappers actually sound decent? I gave it a listen, was hesitant, listened to KIDS again, and I was hooked. KIDS is currently my second favorite smoking album, personally.

KIDS is full of party anthems and positive messages; "Smoke weed and be happy." Mac touches base with following your dreams and succeeding in life, all while relating to everyone with beats that would make the entire party start rockin' out. It's very well done, and would recommend this to anyone, including those who hate hip-hop.

Porches and Pugs

I haven't had internet the last few days, as I'm moving right now. I'm actually using my friends' internet right now, since I haven't had my Facebook fix in a while. But I'm pretty much moved in closer to the campus I attend school at, and I feel obligated to describe my current situation.

I'm sitting on my porch with a pug.

I'll let that sink in for a second.

So, it's summer for me, but it's the perfect temperature. It's not the blistering hot sun that you usually get; this is a nice warm night. You know, "the perfect temperature." Is there any better way to celebrate summer than sitting on your own front porch, enjoying a nice smoke or drink? Well, I'll answer that right now.

NOPE.

There is no better way to enjoy a fine, summer night than on your own front porch enjoying a nice smoke or drink. You could add friends to the mix if you'd like, but I figured that was kind of implied. I honestly thought there's no better way to enjoy a nice, summer evening.....

Until today.

Today, I took custody of a creature considered a mistake from God himself, as it's barely able to live on it's own and is dumb enough to require two owners.

A pug named "Floyd" has been put under my control. The only dog who not only can't breathe normally, but also can't defend itself is mine for a few days, thus completing the perfect equation to a fine, summer evening. I dare you to find a way to make a glorious, summer evening even better.

You see, the chill vibes brought with a nice evening, and the sheer joy a pug brings can be equated like so:

Oh Cool, More Crap About Osama

Yeah, yeah. Another opinion about the death of Osama bin Laden. What makes this one any different, you say? I'm not blindly speaking out of my ass and posting blatantly stupid shit like all your dumb Facebook friends have been doing. (keyword: blatantly) Here's what I think, full of strong opinions and equally strong hypocrisies:

Gotcha bitch!

I don't care who you are or who you think you are, but you have to feel relieved, happy, glad, etc. to see the fall of a terrible, heinous person. Some people are saying that they don't think he should be dead, but rather should have been captured and taken in to jail for life. There's two things wrong with that to me:

-He's not going to go down without a fight. He was killed in a firefight. It's not like we're going to have troops surround him and he's going to go, "lol, u got me guise, i give up." He wasn't going to be caught alive, plain and simple.

-This is a man who founded an organization raised to kill people and fuck shit up. (I think that's the politically correct term used) bin Laden has personally ordered attacks of innocent people while corrupting youth to kill, much like gang members are raised to do in the US. Except, of course, al-Qaeda is taught to kill and harm in the name of Allah. (Allah=God, for those who don't keep up with the times) To me, this man needed to die. One's opinion on this matter, though, will differ from each individual. This may be similar to the "eye for an eye" concept commonly seen with capital punishment. I believe any person who purposely kills should be killed. (there's plenty of hypocrisy in that, which I'll address later on)

Should people be celebrating the death of a human being? Again, this will differ from each person. In this case, I believe it's justified for all the terrible things this individual represents and has accomplished. Some may say that it's not right, because each human life is sacred and treasured. Whether or not you believe it's alright to celebrate bin Laden's death, I do believe the people celebrating have a justified reason. Yes, he's a human being like you and I, but you and I also don't brainwash people into killing innocent people.

George Washington University students takin' over on Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House. Maybe it was just me, but I was totally expecting CNN to show a drunk chick to flash the crowd on live TV.

Now, the hypocrisy.

I said that I'm all for the "eye for an eye" concept when it comes to capital punishment, and how a person who kills should be killed in return. Since the Irag/Afghanistan wars have started, it's reported that approximately 900,000 people have been killed.* This figure includes US causalities, civilian deaths, and just about any other death that could have been recorded. Compare this to the roughly 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11. A nice chunk of those deaths are due to US involvement, but it's said that the Taliban is actually responsible for the majority of those deaths.

Now, I doubt the Taliban personally killed 897,000 people, and that the US killed 3,000 "just to get even." The US is responsible for a large portion of those deaths. I previously said that we should kill those who kill. Does that mean we should kill Presidents Bush and Obama? They were/are, after all, commander-in-chief. They are in charge of the US military. Where do we draw the line with this "eye for an eye" theory when it comes to bringing the responsible parties to justice?

I'm not trying to belittle the death of Osama bin Laden, nor those lost on 9/11, nor those lost fighting these wars. His demise was necessary on many accounts, you cannot deny this. But isn't it just as hypocritical of us to kill more than we lost on 9/11, just to get back at those responsible?

Also, quick note to those hailing Bush as this great person in the death of this person.... Bush started a manhunt and couldn't finish it in 7 years. Obama did it in 3. Obama had to do more with this event than Bush did HOWEVER, Obama merely ordered the attack. I don't necessarily thank Obama and I sure as hell don't thank Bush. I thank the troops in the region who are doing the fighting.

So, my next point; what does this change?

Not much, homeslice.

bin Laden has built up al-Qaeda to function on it's on, without it's leader and founder. It's no doubt a crucial blow to the organization, but al-Qaeda doesn't need Osama. They're fully able to organize attacks still. al-Qaeda is running strong in multiple countries in the Middle East. To me, his death is more symbolic than anything. We've hunted down the most wanted man in the world..... 10 years later. What's been done in those 10 years?

Well, we've invaded two countries, seen oil prices shoot up to a point where OPEC has a vice grip on our balls (and by balls, I mean they really only control our wallets and economy, no biggie), seen the beginning of the potential the demise of the United States (see: trillion dollar debt caused by these conflicts alone, and that's not including other costs that have been racked up indirectly because of our interactions in the Middle East), put Islam on a pedestal in the US (see: islamophobia. It's not like bin Laden was trying to push Islam across the globe or anything), and essentially created a terribly negative image of the US caused by these conflicts. His death isn't going to make everything better. OPEC is still going to bend us over the bed and fuck us in the butt, the global image isn't going to change overnight, and we still owe over a trillion dollars (plus many other costs that will come from these conflicts) which isn't going to go away in the long run.

Today, we have every right to celebrate the fall of an awful person. Some may say "we've won." But really, I think Osama has won in the long run.

This simple math equation has been sweeping the interbuttz as a boss level troll. I'm so sick of seeing this damn thing everywhere. It's on message boards and forums, and even made it's way to Facebook in the form of a poll. (with over a million people participating, mind you)

Now, it's making its' first and only visit to this blog.

Let's review, since too many of you we're sitting there with awkward boners in class when they were reviewing PEMDAS.

P = parentheses

E = exponent

M = multiplication

D = division

A = addition

S = subtraction

That's the order of operations. Now, if you remember correctly (which you don't), when you would see this equation, you would start by doing anything in parentheses first, followed by doing anything with an exponent. Here's the part that messes with people because they were too busy staring at the teacher's ass instead of FUCKING PAYING ATTENTION.

The stupidity... it hurts.

You can "group" multiplication and division together, as you can group addition and subtraction together. When multiple operations of these groups exist (i.e. you'll have to multiply/divide more than once), you go from left to right, NOT MULTIPLYING EVERYFUCKINGTHING FIRST, THEN DIVIDING EVERYFUCKINGTHING AFTER YOU MULTIFUCKINGPLY.

In the wake of the royal wedding everyone is shitting their pants about, I began thinking; why do we care about celebrity culture so much? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for any couple getting married to their true love and all that. But why do WE as a society simply care about celebrities so much?

We, as Americans, care more about famous people than ourselves. This is evident by the massive support for crackheads. Don't we usually frown upon drug addicts and place them on the lowest of the social ladder? So why are all sucking Charlie Sheen's cock and getting all in Lindsey Lohan's grill? Do we honestly have nothing better to do?

Why do you like her? She's not even that attractive after her coke binge....

This is something I've never understood. Unless you are a person who is famous for doing something great, I never got why people would idolize the people we do. An exception might be someone who shapes a generation; Michael Jackson and other high profile musicians, for example, might be considered an exception to this. But we're in love with Ke$ha and Rihanna, who do nothing but make millions and millions of dollars singing about the stuff we were told to avoid growing up. Ke$ha can't even fucking sing. There's tons of shows that glorify celebrities over stupid shit. Congrats, Justin Guarini had a kid. You gotta be happy for anyone choosing to be a parent. But what makes it any different than any other person having a kid? Just because he was on a TV show? It's stupid to me. More people can recognize celebrities then they can political candidates. I read somewhere that only a small portion of the country could identify the current GOP Presidential Nominees. Does that seem right?

Where have our priorities gone? We, as a country, are sinking into the shitter. Why care about people we don't even know when we can't even take care of ourselves?

Why I'm Over Chicago Traffic

I'm currently living in Chicago for an internship, and I must say; I don't think I've ever been so upset by the terrible drivers and poor roads there are here. I thought Ohio drivers we're the bottom of the barrel; I was wrong.

-Nobody in the city of Chicago knows what a turn signal is. Nobody.

-There's more potholes in the roads than there are people. Exaggerated much? I think not. Drive through downtown and see what I mean.

-Nobody knows how to operate a 4-way stop. It's like a madhouse anytime I approach one of these.

-The speed limit is only 45 or 55 MPH on the highways, and it sucks.

-I also hate tolls, mostly because I probably look like the biggest idiot trying to scrounge up $.15.

-There's more cops out on the roads late at night than I have ever seen. I can't drive home without seeing five of them trying to get your for speeding.

-On top of that, they never have their lights in. In Ohio, it must be a law or something for cops to always keep their headlights on when pulled off to the side because they're always on. I feel like this is a hazard to the cops. What if someone has a car emergency and needs to pull to the side of the road? O WAIT, there's a cop car there lol. I think this is just an accident/lawsuit waiting to happen.

-The teens here simply don't know how to drive. I almost got into an accident because some teenage idiot tried to merge into my lane but failed miserably. I almost got read-ended yesterday on the highway from some girl chatting to her other girlfriend about how hot Tony is and how much of a dick Carl is on the phone. She wasn't paying attention whatsoever, and it got to the point where I was going in my head the different ways I could react not if, but when I was going to get rear-ended by this idiot.

After living in Chicago, never again will I complain about the idiots in Ohio who freak out over two snowflakes on the road. I'd take the mass transit but 1) there isn't a stop anywhere near me, and 2) there's been two train accidents within the last week; one train derailed and another hit a guy. I can't have that kind of blood on my hands!

Sometimes it's hard being the best driver on the road....

The Electro Wars

The Electro Wars is a newly released documentary about the evolution of electronic music, the culture that surrounds it, and what's in store with the future. This is a breaking-edge movie; the first of it's kind. Electronic music has taken over today; I consider it our generations' rock and roll or jazz. It's a huge influence in tons of different genres today. Think about it; Stargate (known for tons of Rihanna's hits) has invaded the Billboard charts, and are considered some of the top producers today. They specialize in electronic, though. You can't flip through a top 40 station today and not hear the influence.

If you are a fan of music in general, this is a must-see. Luckily, you can watch it for free this week at the URL at the bottom of this. My internet sucks where I'm at so I'm only 2 chapters through, but it's great so far. It gives a full-on approach to the electronic music industry, with interviews from the biggest names out there. (Steve Aoki and Skrillex, anyone?) Like I said, this is a MUST-SEE. Watch it here!

Worst Shows I've Been To

So I was flipping through channels, hoping to find something on that didn't kill brain cells. I stumbled upon an appearance of Cee-Lo Green on "Last Call wish Carson Daly," and it looked like a clip of him performing "Fuck You" in a club or bar. Now, as a musician and audio engineer and blah blah blah, I have mad props for this guy. He brings a unique sound and has a unique (yet tasty) voice. But this performance was fucking awful. All the words were mumbled, there was no stage presence... I mean, just plain bad. And this got me thinking of all those terrible shows I've been to.

AFI

I saw AFI a few years back (maybe two?) after winning meet-and-greet passes as well. We went up to the band hangout spot at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio with the others who won meet-and-greets. First off, this crazy bitch baked a cake for the band, which I thought was weird. But after being in the room with the band for a mere 30 seconds, I could tell these guys were just awkward.

The lead singer and drummer were very welcome to everyone and chatted everyone up and tried to keep convos going. (In the picture above, they're the two on the left if I remember correctly) The other two, though, acted like anti-social emo kids. Anytime any one of the excited 13-year-olds asked the bassist or guitarist anything, they responded with one-word answers and never made eye contact. I felt like HATED me. AAWWWKKKKWWWAAARRRDDDDD.

The show finally came up. I've never been more disappointed after a show. The set was all their newer "more emo" stuff. (Which I actually enjoy, but it's not the material you want for a bangin' rock concert) There was no crowd energy (partly due to the massive crowd of 12-year-old girls screaming for the lead singer), and few signs of emotion from the band. I think that's the only show or concert I've debated leaving early from.

Puddle Of Mudd

I saw Puddle Of Mudd last summer at Rock On The Range. Have you ever seen a band who thought they were the fucking shit, but really they weren't? Yeaaaahhhhhhh...... In a crowd of thousands of hardcore, gnarly people who had been kicking each others' asses all day (which my scrawny ass in the middle of it, of course), maybe 5 were moshing to this. They tried to soup up all their popular singles (Singing a song about how "she fucking hates me" [la la la laaaaa!] won't get the crowd going) but they failed at that. The singer attempted to sing, but he failed miserably at that as well. By far, they were the worst act I saw at that festival.

Wicked Wisdom was a relatively short-lived band I saw at Ozzfest around 2005 or so. The lead singer was actually Will Smith's wife. (The More You Know!) Now, I have never been a fan of women as lead vocalists for metal screaming bands, and this was only reinforced that opinion. Awful show. Just..... awful. The crowd was boo-ing halfway through the set, there was no energy, and it all just sounded like noise. No music, simply noise. There was a reason why these guys were short-lived....

Now, as a musician and all that shit I mentioned above, I respect anyone trying to go out there and make a few bucks playing music for a living. However, I'm only playing the role of "critique" in my experience of the many shows I've been to. Have any of you had any bad shows that sound like this?

This trance piece was inspired by a roommate of mine who listens to nothing but trance music, and the total amount of boredom I'm going through currently. I Simply Don't Care.

It has come to light about the layout of this fine, fine blog is "visually retarded" and "looks like King Kong taking a shit on birthday cake." When I created this blog, I started it with the mindset of not giving a single fuck. Think about it; why should I care about what I write? Why should you care what I write about? You should care because I tell you. Basically. So care.

I wanted to change things up often. I've had Mario riding a dinosaur, cool electronic patterns, and other stupid stuff as a background. Currently, there's ice cream trucks, to fit the summer them. Who doesn't like ice cream trucks? Yeah, it might clash. But that's because I simply don't give a fuck. (Do you see a theme here?) I'm not making a blog to fit in and make it like everyone elses. Where's the fun in that?

Have you ever had a friend show you a song and after listening to it, you reply, "Oh yeah, that sounds like (mainstream band here)." Where's the fun in ripping off another's ideas? By putting whatever I want on here, it's a way of expressing one's self. One day, MAYBE this blog will become huge and take over the world. I wouldn't want people to say, "Have you checked out that mega huge blog that's fucking everywhere now? (referring to my badass setup I got going on here) Reminds me a lot of (another mainstream noun)." I DON'T WANT TO FOLLOW IN THE TRACKS OF EVERYONE. And not everyone should. If we did, then we'd all be stuck in monotonous routine that gets old real fast.

So what am I saying in the end? I simply do not care. I don't care if you read this and scoff, or applaud me as a genius. I simply do not care. I'm not in charge of your life, as you're not in charge of mine. Everyone gets so caught up in doing what others want us to do, or to do what is seen as "more traditional." If we always did that, then there would never be anything new produced, and the world would be a very, very boring place.

This dude is sad because he never branched off and thought on his own.

Don't be afraid to take a chance. Get the balls to talk to that hot chick you've been eyeing. Go out and try some new food. Do that thing you've been wanting to do, but just haven't done yet for whatever reason. By not caring, you shun out all those others that may judge you or look down at you. And honestly, they're fucking worthless. They have nothing better to do but bring you down.

Music is how it is today because people stopped giving a fuck about what others say and just tried something new. Eminem famously said in his song "Without Me" in 2006 that "no one listens to techno music." Now, don't me wrong, Eminem is the man. But people didn't listen to him, and now techno and electronic music is HUGE.

In conclusion, you just have to stop giving a fuck sometimes and do what you want, regardless of what others think. Do something different. Don't be afraid to put up tacky ice cream trucks as a background.... TO YOUR LIFE.

(that last sentence was deep, wasn't it?)

Wise words from a wise man

As some of you might now, Foo Fighters released their latest album Wasting Light this past Tuesday. Critics are calling it one of their heavier albums to date, relating it to some of their older albums. Revisiting their roots would make sense, as they recorded this album in Dave Grohl's garage. Wasting Light isn't the only new Foo out though... They have also released a documentary about the band, highlighting a lot of the history of the group as well as many other inside sneak peeks. Back And Forth is out now, but if you're reading this all like, "OMG WTF, i did not no dat dey haev a dokumentari!!1," then you probably haven't seen it yet, so check out the trailer in the meantime, and be sure to download Wasting Light! The US is using a real laser gun to set fire to engines of attacking boats. ISN'T THAT SWEET!? Lasers have been something in sci-fi flicks for ages and have become synonymous with the future, and we now have access to that technology. Not only that, we have the capability to do some real damage, as opposed to those tiny laser lights we all played with when we were in 5th grade. I, for one, think it's cool as hell. What do you think? Do you see lasers being the future of weapons? Do you see a more prominent use of lasers in the future?

This will be a true test to them as musicians and creative artists, and to the audio engineers running the session. To record a song an hour can be a challenge, but it the session runs smoothly, this can turn out to be something else.
