Subaru Impreza WRX 2015

True, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but the 2015 Subaru WRX doesn't look quite as menacing as the 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX from the front. Whereas the out-going WRX looked wide, purposeful, menacing, and well, ugly in your rearview mirror, the new car is much slicker and sleeker, with a low-set hood scoop, smaller headlights with LED running lights, and less-extreme fender flares.

The same traits carry over to the side-views of the WRX, as well. From this angle, the 2015 WRX shows off its sports car intentions, with its coupe-like roof, and longer wheelbase, whereas the Impreza WRX looks more rally bred, thanks to a shorter wheelbase, and up-right cabin. Though both the 2014 Impreza WRX and the 2015 WRX have similarly styled flared fender arches, the previous-generation model again looks more purposeful, due to the added (likely non-functional) ducts, and other aero work. In back, the 2015 Subaru WRX looks about as aggressive as the old Impreza WRX. The 2015 WRX ditches the outgoing car's fake diffuser, but traditional WRX styling cues remains including the quad-tipped exhaust, and square-cut bumpers. Less boy-racer-ish, the 2015 WRX's spoiler is also better integrated into the trunk lid than on the Impreza WRX.

Iinside, the 2015 Subaru WRX distinguishes itself from its predecessor with a high-quality, up-market cabin. While the last-gen Impreza WRX's interior was akin to a prison stint, the 2015 model's interior is a genuinely nice place to be. Instead of being covered in hard plastics, the 2015 WRX gets an upmarket, performance-oriented interior with carbon fiber-like touches. The 2015 WRX also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a color multi-function display on top of the center console. One long-running design trait the 2015 WRX loses is the center-mounted tachometer.

Under the hood of the 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX sits a 2.5-liter turbocharged F-4 producing 265 hp and 244 lb-ft of torque. It's mated to a five-speed manual, and puts its power down through all four wheels. The 2015 Subaru WRX is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged F-4 making 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The new 2.0-liter mill is mated to either a six-speed manual, or a CVT, and also has all-wheel drive.

The Proton Inspira is a four-door compact saloon produced by Malaysian automobile manufacturer Proton which launched on 10 November 2010. It is sold exclusively in Malaysia as a rebadged ninth generation and current Mitsubishi Lancer as the result of a collaboration between Mitsubishi Motors and Proton. It shares the same DaimlerChrysler/Mitsubishi Motors GS platform with the Mitsubishi Lancer . The Inspira succeeded the Proton Waja, and complements the indigenously-designed Proton Preve in the Malaysian market.

In addition to its bigger engine, your money gets you a mild body kit all round, slightly better trim materials inside, leather seats, auto climate control, cruise control, auto headlights, auto wipers, and paddle shifters. There is also a portable GPS unit bundled into the package, but since it was not in our test car, we are unable to give you a proper assessment of its usefulness, although we can assure you that decent GPS devices from the aftermarket can be yours for a few hundred bucks these days.

Unlike the Lancer, however, Proton also caters for buyers with smaller engine needs by offering two 1.8-litre variants, both of which we tested last year. Topping the range is the 2.0-litre Premium model, which we are reviewing here, and one of these can be yours for RM92,015 with insurance and metallic paint in Peninsula Malaysia.

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder is standard, and a more-powerful 2.5-liter is optional. As with most Mazda, the 3’s driving dynamics are peppy and engaging, although road noise can be bothersome. Ford F-Series

The Ford F-Series was the best-selling vehicle in the United States in 2013. Shocking, we know. Ford's pickup has held onto this spot for the last 32 years, and has had the honor of being the country's best-selling truck for 37 years.

The current-generation F-150 was introduced for the 2009 model year as a major update of the Ford full-size truck platform. These trucks are distinguished by their Super Duty-style grilles and head lamps; standard cab models again have two-doors instead of four. The FlareSide bed was dropped along with the manual gearbox; outside of Mexico, the Lincoln Mark LT was replaced by the F-150 Platinum. A new model for 2010 included the SVT Raptor, a dedicated off-road pick-up.

As part of a major focus on fuel economy, the entire engine lineup for the F-150 (excluding the SVT Raptor) was updated for the 2011 model year. Along with two new V8 engines, the F-150 gained a new 3.7-Litre base V6 engine, and a powerful twin-turbocharged 3.5-Litre V6, dubbed EcoBoost by Ford. The automatic gearbox is the only option. Other modifications include the addition of a Nexteer Automotive Electric Power Steering (EPS) system on most models.

Honda Mugen RR Sporty And Elegent

The Honda Civic Type R is the highest performance version of the Honda Civic made by Honda Motor Company of Japan. It features a lightened and stiffened body, specially tuned engine and upgraded brakes and chassis. . Other modifications include uprated brakes, shocks and springs and Mugen’s new 'I-TCMS' tire monitoring system.

Another area that’s been improved is the gearbox set-up. The standard model’s manual ‘box has been replaced with a six-speed sequential unit, which shifts gears in a blistering 80 milliseconds. The car still retains a clutch but this is only used when launching from a standstill. The car’s body has also been given a major makeover. In addition to the new carbon-fiber front bar, designers stripped out the cabin and replaced the standard seats with figure-hugging buckets.

Red is also used in the interior to give it a special sporting distinction and to separate it from other Honda models. In Japan, there is a one-make series of Honda Type R cars where privateers can purchase an off-road Type R and compete in a series championship which is a stepping stone for many aspiring racing drivers.

The 2011 GT-R is a 2-door, 4-passenger sports car, available in one trim only, the Premium.

Upon introduction, the GT-R is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 485-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2011 GT-R is a carryover from 2010.

For 2011, its third year of availability in the North American market, the Nissan GT-R features a number of enhancements and a simplified model lineup. The previous GT-R base model has been eliminated, leaving the GT-R Premium as the only available 2011 model. Other changes include slightly darker wheel center caps, double clear coat on the front and rear fascias and the addition of rear cooling ducts to improve cooling performance around the rear floor area.

The suspension has been retuned and the rear bushing strengthened to enhance ride comfort while still maintaining the GT-R’s outstanding handling. In addition, auto on/off headlights and speed-sensitive windshield wipers are now standard, along with a USB iPod® interface, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth® and DVD playback. The design, created with the Malaysian manufacturer PROTON is based on a plug-in hybrid drive system designed with Lotus Engineering and was developed with the aim of optimising the available on-board space and car access ergonomics. “We have created a family of models in different configurations but all offering the passenger room of a medium-category car while maintaining the exterior dimensions of a compact mini. The architecture has been designed in such a way as to allow us to outfit an infinite number of variants without compromising the car’s great comfort and extensive interior space” explained Giorgetto Giugiaro, Chairman of Italdesign Giugiaro.

With 25 years in the automotive sector PROTON has produced 15 car models to date that have sold more than 3 million units throughout the world and is now ready to expand its horizons with a range of revolutionary cars that meet international standards. The name, Emas, meaning “gold” in Malay, is the acronym for Eco Mobility Advanced Solutions.

Proton is an automotive nameplate that few in the United States will recognize since none of the company's cars have ever been sold here. However, the Malaysian automaker, which has largely made do with cast-offMitsubishi platforms, wants to make a splash with something more modern. Proton has owned UK-based Lotus for more than a decade and wants to leverage that company's growing expertise in alternative powertrains.

Within two and a half years, Proton hopes to launch a production version of the Emas mini-car concept that it showed in Geneva this week. The plan is for a plug-in hybrid version similar to the concept to the lead the way, followed by a version with a conventional powertrain. Proton has big plans for the small car, and said it hopes to sell 150,000 copies of the Emas annually.

Proton Emas Specification

The forerunner of the Emas family is a five door hatchback with the emphasis on Comfort, because the rear seats are the same as the front seats to create four business class seats within just 3550 mm of total length.

The front-end features the PROTON Shield housed in a longitudinal slot below the bonnet. This also incorporates the light clusters and is enhanced by two distinctive diamond-shaped fog lights. The engine cooling air intake, located between the fog lights, is concealed within a dark grey trapezoid motif. Its size varies according to the type of engine installed, without altering the look of the front-end.

The side is dominated by a belt line that drops down decisively toward the windscreen pillar to increase side visibility during parking manoeuvres. The side is enlivened by a sculpted shape, enhanced by a rib that runs from the front wheel arch then swoops up toward the rear.

The large wheel arches are perhaps the most distinctive and substantial aspect of the car body; the wheelbase is generous: 2590 mm for a total length of 3550 mm. The wheels are therefore located at the end of the Emas: this gives the impression of a car much bigger than it actually is.

The B pillar is painted black to create the sensation of visual continuity with the side windows, while the C pillar features a motif based on an "E", the initial letter of Emas.

Oceans of glass allow plenty of light into the interior. Only the lower part of the side windows - the part you actually need to open to pay tolls or car parks - is mobile in order to keep the window opening system simpler and lighter.

The windscreen extends along three quarters of the roof to create a sky-dome effect that dominates the view from above. Protective sun blinds are housed in the 7 central crossmember and extend longitudinally toward both the front and rear seats.

The rear view is dominated by a generous rear window incorporating all the tail-lights, which are entirely based on LED technology. These are located beneath the glass and are invisible when the car is turned off. A subtle lip joins both light clusters and surrounds the reversing lights and direction indicators. When the tailgate is open, the lights are replicated by two supplementary tail-lights located in the lower part of the bumpers on either side of the rear air intake.

The drive system is a series hybrid plug-in developed by Lotus Engineering, a Proton Group company. It includes a 3 cylinder 1.2 litre internal combustion engine developing 51 horsepower (38 kW) at 3500 rpm that can run on petrol, ethanol, or methanol.

The front transverse internal combustion engine is coupled to a generator and serves exclusively to recharge the 11.5 kWh capacity lithium ion batteries. Drive is assured by an electric motor with continuous power of 45 kW and 75 kW peak power The high maximum torque, 240 Nm, does not require the use of a gearbox.

Acceleration 0-100 km/h takes place in 14 seconds, top speed is 170 km/h and battery range in the hybrid configuration is 50 km. Full recharging of the battery pack takes three hours using a traditional 240-volt outlet.

Buyers can choose between three grades of Standard, Premium and Elegance and transmission type of four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual.

The latest Myvi now includes electric power steering system, projector headlamps and a two-tone dashboard.

In keeping with current automotive trends, the new Myvi has upgraded safety features, including two front airbags.

The 1.3-litre engine is derived from the older Myvi model but has been retuned to get an extra 4bhp for a total of 90bhp promising improved performance.

Compared with the old automatic Myvi which can go 13.5km on a litre of petrol, the new automatic model can go 14.6km on the same amount of fuel.

The original Myvi was launched in May 2005 and some 484,000 units were sold until April.

The new Myvi comes in ebony black, medallion grey, glittering silver, pearl white, ivory white and a new colour of mystical purple.

Mazda RX8, with the latest model year has larger exhaust pipes

Officially designated as a "2+2 coupe" the RX-8 places performance ahead of utility in regards to rear seating space. Almost as an apology to those squeezing into the back seat, the RX-8 has a pair of "free style" rear doors to ease entry. These rear doors closely resemble suicide doors made famous by the Lincoln Continental circa 1961.

The 1.3-liter RENESIS rotary power plant that is famously "Mazda" is good for 212 horsepower with an automatic transmission and 232 with a manual gearbox. This high powered engine coupled with the RX-8's nearly perfect 50-50 weight distribution make for an impressively powerful sports car.

True to its sports car roots the RX-8 is most commonly equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. In a nod to convenience Mazda is also offering a six-speed automatic transmission equipped with steering wheel paddle shifters on all trim levels.

The base "Sport" trim level has two option groups available. Xenon headlamps, fog lights, and traction control can be added to manual RX-8s.

Automatic models can have all these features added as well as 18" wheels, a limited slip differential, larger brakes, and a sport tuned suspension. All of these options become standard on the "Touring" model which adds a power moonroof and 300-watt Bose stereo.

The "Grand Touring" model comes with leather appointed seats, an 8-way powered driver's seat, a remote start system, and heated mirrors.

The latest model year has larger exhaust pipes, new LED taillights, new front and rear bumpers, and a restyled front end. A few suspension and manual transmission tweaks should assist in overall handling and acceleration, while the interior benefits from a redesigned steering wheel and a fresh set of front and rear seats.

Also of note, Mazda has added a "variable red-zone" to the tachometer. Due to the nature and mechanics of the rotary engine, drivers will be shown a different "red line" based on engine temperatures.

The new look is overall more aggressive and should endow the RX-8 a little extra curb-appeal. A new option group is also be available, dubbed the "R3" option package. The R3 will boast a rear spoiler, 19" alloys, and Mazda-styled Recaro racing seats.

The new Roadster will be powered by same AMG V8 compressor engine as the McLaren coupe producing 617 bhp, and uses the same AMG Speedshift R five-speed automatic transmission that will enable the Roadster to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in a matter of 3.2 seconds. The BMW 5 Series has spent the last three decades catering to those who desire a sedan that functions equally well as a prestigious luxury car and a thoroughbred performance sedan. The 5 Series has long been the benchmark by which other sport sedans are measured. This elevated position presents challenges when such a stellar car is due for an update. BMW accomplished its mission with a redesign in 1997 that gave it a look and feel that remained popular right up until the latest redesign last year.

Although the 2004 BMW 5 Series was considered a complete redesign, the changes to the car's basic character seemed more like subtle refinements. It was already a comfortable, capable and highly dynamic machine. The latest version is still all of these things, just a bit more so. In terms of overall philosophy, the largest shift from the previous model came in the form of technology. Several items were pulled directly from the current-generation 7 Series, including iDrive, Active Roll Stabilization (ARS), Active Cruise Control (ACC) and a Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system. Of these features, only iDrive is standard on all 5 Series models, and BMW calls it an "updated" version that is designed to be easier to use. While much of the 7's technology has migrated down to the 5, several advanced technologies made their debut on BMW's midsize sport sedan.

2004 BMW 5 Series

The most exciting of these is dubbed Active Front Steering (AFS), a system that is able to adjust both the steering ratio and the amount of power assist for optimum feel and control under varying driving conditions. All of this technology is wrapped up in an outer shell that reflects BMW's recent styling direction. The 5 Series offers up the same type of sharp edges and harsh angles first seen on the 7 Series in 2002, and subsequently on the Z4 in 2003. But the high percentage of corporate profits delivered by the 5 Series line has forced BMW to play it safer with this model. As such, it has less aggressive body lines when compared to either the 7 Series or Z4. With excellent power and sharp handling, the 5 Series further builds on its reputation as a luxury sedan of unequaled athleticism.

The incorporation of the latest technology and a distinctive look may keep it fresh in the minds of buyers, but in the end, its continued status as a true driver's car will determine its success above all else. Body Styles, Trim Levels and Options: The 5 Series sedan comes in three models: 525i, 530i and 545i. Standard equipment includes automatic climate control, a CD player, a full set of one-touch power windows, rain-sensing windshield wipers and heated power mirrors. Ten-way power front seats are standard, with 12-way power front sport seats and four-way power lumbar support, and 20-way power multifunction comfort front seats with memory as options. Powertrains and Performance: BMW's 2.5-liter six-cylinder generates 184 horsepower, while the 3.0-liter is rated at 225 hp. The top-of-the-line 545i features the same 4.4-liter V8 found in the flagship 7 Series rated at 325 hp. All models get a six-speed manual standard with a six-speed Steptronic automatic an available option. The 530i and 545i can also be had with BMW's sequential manual gearbox (SMG), a sophisticated transmission that combines the control of a manual gearbox with the ease of an automatic. Performance from the base 2.5-liter is refined, if not exhilarating. The 3.0-liter engine provides the best compromise between speed and efficiency, while the V8 delivers outstanding performance at just about any speed.

Lamborghini Gallardo holds a very special place and deserves a very special mention. It is an entry-level sports car from Lamborghini and its success is so big that it remains the most-produced Lamborghini car of the company to date. Ever since its introduction to the market, over 5000 supercars have been built which is an unparalleled achievement in the history of Lamborghini. It is considered a competitor to Ferrari 360 and Ferrari F430. The Gallardo sports car is named after a popular breed of fighting bull, which fits it perfectly. When the project of Gallardo was about to get started, it was conceptualized to be a sports car which could be also used for everyday uses. Looking at its details, we will have to say that they have succeeded in doing that.

The supercar Gallardo engine is largely based on the good old straight-5 design of Audi. It has a 520 bhp (382 kW) V 10 engine which is powerful to hit high speeds on both country and city roads. The sports car can hit a maximum speed of 196 mph and can clock 0-60 in four seconds. It has two types of transmissions the traditional six speed manual transmission and an electro-hydraulic auto clutch manual, which is aptly called the E-gear. You can make shifts very fast thanks to the control offered by the manual. You don’t have to manually operate the clutch, as it can be controlled by the paddles fit behind the steering wheel. This gives great convenience while driving and works way better than the conventional transmission system. Perhaps the best thing about Lamborghini engineering, particularly in this sports car, is that it has been designed in such a way that it is equally pleasurable to drive on a race track as well as on city and country roads. A lot of attention went into the engineering to make sure that the supercar gives the same performance while racing as well as pleasure driving, and they have just got that right.

The Hummer H1 is a civilian off-road vehicle based on the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (or Humvee), which was created by AM General. The vehicle was produced from 1992 through 2006, and was the first of what became the Hummer line. It was initially known only as the "Hummer"; however, in 1999 in a joint venture between General Motors and AM General, GM began marketing the Hummer H2, which was built on the Chevrolet Tahoe chassis. It was at this point that the original Hummer was given the H1 designation. For collectors, the most desirable model is the H1 Alpha, produced in the final model year of 2006. It had the most powerful engine and the best fuel mileage of the H1 vehicles. Overall, the H1 was a very limited production vehicle.

The basic Hummer vehicle is 6 feet tall, 7 feet wide, 15 feet long and weighs 5,200 pounds (2,340 kilograms). AM General used a steel frame with five cross members to support the weight of a vehicle with a payload of up to 2,500 pounds (1,125 kilograms), allowing a gross vehicle weight (GVW) the weight of the vehicle, passengers and maximum payload of 7,700 pounds (3,465 kilograms). In order to keep the vehicle's total weight at a manageable level, AM General used aluminium to construct the body of the car. The aluminium is strong enough to support heavy armaments or carry troops, yet is able to flex when the Hummer travels over rough ground.

A double A-arm independent suspension in the front and rear with hydraulic shock absorbers allow the Hummer to tackle unforgiving terrain. It also has torque-biasing differentials and four-wheel disc brakes, which give the Hummer the ability to continue moving even when some of the wheels lose contact with the ground.

The Hummer is a fully four-wheel drive vehicle the engine powers all four wheels at all times. It also has open-differential gears with Torsen differentials. When one wheel begins to slip, it loses torque. The Torsen differential system senses the loss of torque and increases torque to the other wheels. Coupled with the brake traction control system, the Humvee's Torsen differentials give the vehicle incredible off-road capabilities.

Hummers have a 25-gallon (95-liter) fuel tank and can go about 300 miles (480 kilometers) before needing to refuel -- meaning a basic Hummer gets about 12 miles to the gallon, though heavier Hummer variations are somewhat less efficient. As per the Army's request, all military Hummers run on diesel fuel and have an automatic transmission the Army wanted all its vehicles to run on the same fuel system and felt that automatic transmissions would be easier for new trainees to learn quickly.

The Hummer has power steering and includes a 12/24-volt electrical system. Either two or four soldiers can sit inside the cab of the vehicle, depending on the variant. According to AM General, the location of the seats on either side of the drive train helps give the Hummer a low center of gravity.

The vehicles have powerful combat locks on each of the doors to help keep soldiers safe. Unfortunately, some soldiers have found it impossible to open the doors if the locks are damaged out in the field. To fix this problem, AM General now includes a D-ring on all Hummer doors. The D-ring is a loop of metal attached to the outside of the Hummer's doors and functions as a place to attach a cable or chain. A winch or similar device can pull the cable, forcing the door open and letting soldiers out of the vehicle.

That's the lowdown on the basic Hummer. Using this as a starting platform, AM General produced 15 different HMMWV variants. They designed 44 interchangeable Hummer parts, allowing the Army to modify, maintain and repair vehicles with incredible efficiency, economy and flexibility.

The third Lancer EVO was introduced in February 1995. Compared to its predecessors the EVO III was fitted with a higher compression engine, adding another 10 bhp to the output. Aerodynamics were again revised with a more aggressive front bumper and a new rear wing.

The exhaust systems was upgraded again for the EVO 3 as a new TD05-16G6-7 turbo was used, this along with a slight increase in engine compression led to a 10bhp power rise. Cosmetically the front of the car was opened up dramatically leading to a much more aggressive look. These changes gave much better cooling not only for the intercooler and engine but also for the brakes. To compliment the new look at the front new side skirts were adopted along with a new rear bumper and new, higher rear wing.

In rallying the EVO III was used throughout the 1995 and 1996 seasons, with a lot of success. With 6 victories Mitsubishi finished second in the constructor's championship in both season. More importantly, Tommi Makinen scored his first of four driver's titles for Mitsubishi.

The latest 2010 Proton Lekir are powered either along a 2.0-liter turbocharged social unit or a 1.6-liter locomotive on some 220-ponies (167 kilowatt) .Proton looked into its own car bin and in particular,Lotus, which it acquired back in 1994, as the Lekir is essentially a rebagded Europa coupe.

Another concept vehicle based on a real production vehicle will shine under the spotlights of the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show. It’s another small sportscar based on the Lotus Europa and it’s called the Lekir Concept.

The concept is meant to measure the response a Proton sports car would get from the customers and the international auto press. The original Europa was powered by a 2-liter turbo charged engine, tuned to produce 225 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The Europa was capable of a top speed of 143 mph

Well, actually it was, except that the Malaysian carmaker Proton was a rebadged and renamed with 2011 Proton Lekir Concept. Given the partnership between the two companies that figure by the end of the European production lines in Europe, Lotus, a new market for his sports car on the market in search will greet with open arms, even though 2011 Proton Lekir Concept was a rebadged under the local brand.

That is what Proton and Malaysia entered the picture. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has officially launched the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback, a five-door hatchback variant of the Lancer that now complements the Lancer GT and EX sedans. Fully-imported from Japan, the Lancer Sportback can be yours for RM 129,363.80 (OTR excluding insurance).

The Lancer Sportback comes with the C-segment’s largest engine—the 2.4-litre 4B12 unit producing 170 hp at 6000 rpm and 226 Nm at 4100 rpm. Power goes to the front wheels via the INVECS-III CVT with a six-step Sports Mode. Manual shifts through the six virtual ratios can be accomplished using the steering wheel paddle shifters.

Like the transmission, the suspension setup and brakes are identical with the Lancer sedan variants’; the Lancer Sportback uses MacPherson strut in front and multi-link at the back, while front ventilated discs and rear solid discs provide the braking power.

When it comes to practicality, the rear tailgate offers a wider opening than a sedan’s boot lid, thus improving access. The 344-litre boot can be expanded to 1349 litres via one-touch folding rear seats (60:40 split), which fold down almost completely flat. Moreover, the boot floor is height-adjustable, and can be lowered by 90 mm using a one-handed motion as well.

Standard equipments include 18" alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, Nappa leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and brake lever, automatic climate control, 6-speaker 2-DIN audio system with LCD touch-screen, and steering wheel audio and cruise control buttons.

Safety features include dual-stage SRS airbags for the driver and front passenger, front seatbelts with pretensioner and force-limiter, Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control plus braking controls, from Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).

Available in three colours (Lightning Blue, White Solid and Black Mica), the Lancer Sportback is offered with a three-year/100,000km warranty and a two-year free maintenance parts and labour costs package.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia hopes to sell 50 units of the Lancer Sportback monthly, on the basis that the Lancer sedan achieves monthly sales of 150 units on average. Of course, it remains to be seen how the upcoming Proton Inspira will affect the sales of either Lancer model.

The Daihatsu Mira comes standard with a 5 speed gearbox with remarkably short gearing – cruising at 100 km/h in top gear equates to an engine speed of around 4400 rpm! This helps keep some revs on board while cruising and the little turbocharger starts boosting very early.

The Mira runs a cute little independent rear-end together with garden-variety MacPherson struts at the front. Ride height is slightly lower than a local L70 Handi van.

There’s no need for power assistance for the rack and pinion steering – the Mira has good steering weight and a wonderfully direct feel. Oh, and its turning circle is pretty handy too!

Mira Cocoa is a five-door mini i available in Japan with a 660 cc three-cylinder engine producing 58 horsepower and 65 Nm of maximum torque, coupled to either a 4-speed automatic gearbox or a CVT. As with most JDM cars, the Mira Cocoa is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. It was design in 2009 with nice colour and shape. This car suitable for female because that's actually the market that Daihatsu is targeted with this mini.

The car, whose first generation was designed by Frank Stephenson, draws inspiration from the original Mini, which was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation and its successors from 1959 to 2000. The name of the car's brand, MINI, is all-capitalized to distinguish it from its predecessor. Development of the first generation had been done between 1995 and 2001 by Rover Group in Gaydon, United Kingdom and BMW AG in Munich, Germany. During this development phase, there was continual contention between the two design groups, especially concerning the positioning of the car, Rover wanted a straight economy car, whilst BMW supported a small, sporting car. Ultimately, BMW prevailed, and in 1999, they assumed control over the entire project following the departure of BMW's CEO, Bernd Pischets rider. When BMW divested itself of Rover in 2000, BMW elected to retain the Mini project, and to move the planned production site of the car from Rover's Long bridge plant, (the former production plant of the traditional Mini) to BMW's Oxford plant in Cowley, Oxford, United Kingdom (what was historically the Pressed Steel Company body plant).

The vehicles produced during the 2001 to 2006 model years (unofficially, the "Mk I Mini") included four hatchback models (referred to by Mini as the Cooper Hardtop): the basic "Mini One", the diesel- engined "Mini One/D", the sportier "Mini Cooper" and the supercharged "Mini Cooper S"; in 2005, a convertible roof option was added to the Mk I line-up. In November 2006, BMW released a re-engineered version of the Mini Hardtop (unofficially the "Mk II Mini") as a 2007 model-year vehicle. The Mk II is currently [update] available in the original Hard to pand Convertible body styles (the latter being introduced as a 2009 model). 2011 model year Lotus Elise

The new 2011 model year Elise has a number of additional changes and improvements, with the installation of a new advanced 1.6 litre Valvematic engine meeting EÚRO 5 regulations. This new engine is 200cc smaller than the outgoing Elise S model and produces similar power (136 PS, 100 kW, 134 hp at 6800 rpm) with maximum torque of 160 Nm, 118 lbft at 4400 rpm, but offers a significant improvement to fuel economy of over 23%, to 6.14 litres / 100km (46 mpg)* and a reduction in CO2 emission by more than 13%*. This provides the new Lotus Elise with the lowest CO2 per performance for any gasoline high performance sportscar in the world. This high technology engine is mated to a new 6-speed manual gearbox, providing closer and more performance orientated ratios than the outgoing 5 speed box.

The Elise has high performance AP Racing callipers at the front and Brembo callipers at the rear linked to 282 mm vented and cross-drilled cast iron discs to give excellent stopping power. The Elise comes as standard with a track tuned ABS system that is designed to be unobtrusive under normal driving conditions. This system is designed to be used on track and has a high threshold, only intervening in emergencies. The ABS system is linked to a lightweight pedal box with steel pedal arms and extruded aluminium pads. This unit also has an electronic (drive-by-wire) throttle for quick, smooth and more linear engine response. The impressive braking coupled with excellent handling gives good primary safety and the composite front crash structure and rear crash protection offers efficient secondary safety. Driver and passenger airbags and pre-tensioning seatbelt are standard on all Elise models.

The Lotus Elise introduces the new 1598 cm3, 1ZR-FAE engine, provided by Toyota. The key to this engine’s performance and efficiency is the Valvematic system (a variable valve lift mechanism), which is combined with the dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent). The engine continuously controls intake valve opening/closing timing and the intake valve lift to vary the volume of the intake airflow, giving significant improvements in efficiency and fuel economy. This ensures optimal performance based on the engines operational condition, thus helping the Elise achieve both high fuel efficiency and high performance.

First of all, the maximum power output is achieved at near maximum revs (engine speed) of 6800 rpm and maximum torque (a respectable 160 Nm, 118 lb.ft) is reached at 4400 rpm. This gives a good combination of mid range pull but also encourages the driver to rev the engine to the maximum permitted engine speed of 7000 rpm (transient rev limit). Like all Elise sportscars, there are three shift up lights, on the binnacle cumulatively lighting when the driver is getting closer to the rev limiter and when all three are illuminated, they flash to indicate that the driver is almost on the rev limiter so time to change up a gear!

The height of the engine cover has been raised by 34mm to accommodate the taller 1ZR engine compared to the previous 1ZZ engine from the outgoing model due, in part, to the additional Valvematic technology included on the new engine. This has given Lotus engineers an opportunity to subtly redesign the rear engine cover to match the design theme from the front and rear of the car.
