Yes, we're going to talk about the band KarminMusic. Amy, the girl, and her fiance, Nick, both sing and play different instruments, including guitar, piano and drums!

Amy sings, raps and plays guitar (what more could we ask for), and some even call her a white Nicki Minaj in the body of Katy Perry, while Nick sings and plays piano and drums. We were shocked when we heard their version of "Look at Me Now" by Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne and Busta Ryhmes, but our all time favorite cover would have to be "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj. Gosh, we just can't stop listening to that.

And damn that girl can rap. Their harmonies are great, the rapping is great, everything is great.

Anne Hathaway channels her inner Lil Wayne

Anne Hathaway, currently staring in the movie One Day, decides to channel her rage for the paparazzi (and their nosiness during the shoot for the new Batman movie, which we discussed earlier this week) into a rap! She rapped it to Conan O'Brien on his show Tuesday night. We love it all - from the deep throaty voice to the arm movements to the "pop pop pop". Will she start a career in music? Maybe not, but she sure has the world interested, with the Youtube video obtaining over 500,000 views in only one day.

Teacher+student sleepovers?

Have you ever watched Victorious?

If you haven't, we'll give you a short summary. It's a show on Nickelodeon about a girl, played by Victoria Justice, that gets accepted into this school called Hollywood Arts where, instead of math and science classes, they have acting and singing classes.

This show has continued to baffle us, mostly because of that person that plays the crazy teacher, Sikowitz (or Psychowitz, really). No, it's not Mr. Sikowitz. Just Psychowitz. Er, Sikowitz. This is confusing.

In one episode, Sikowitz invites Tori (played by Victoria Justice) and her new best friends for a sleepover. Yes, he is hosting a sleepover, and of course, no one questions it, because it all makes sense in this show.

Come to think of it, most of the show doesn't make sense.

The students customize their lockers (an activity so important that it's ok to take the entire first week of "school" to do so) and have music blaring through the hallways all the time, because they seem to spend more time in the hallways than in class. Trina (Tori's sister) is supposedly horrible at everything, including acting, dancing and singing, but she still is invited to sing and dance with Tori when they do musical numbers. Not to mention that Ariana Grande (the girl with the unnatural bright red hair) can sing better than Victoria Justice, yet Justice plays the main character whose goal is to be a singer.

We can't even tell you how many episodes have ended with the same solution, Tori sings a song that Andre (one of her friends) just made up for her in one night. And then everything is all right!

5 things we learned from the new Lady Gaga video

So. Lady Gaga dropped her new music video for "Yoü and I" early, her new single off of her massive maniacal weird-self-analysis, idolization-of-80's-rock-stars, kind-of-a-mess opus "Born This Way." She promised us a new music video with her 1000th tweet on Thursday, but according to Lady Gaga's 997th, 998th, and 999th tweets "F**K THURS DAY." Guess she was getting anxious.

Anywhoo, obviously like no less than 251 OTHER news sources at the time of this writing (we kid you not), we are obligated by the laws of all that is Gaga to report on this new milestone. Gaga reaching her 1000th tweet that is. Or it would have been, if it wasn't for the music video. Let's be honest there would still be 100 news articles about Lady Gaga reaching 1000 tweets and 12.7 million followers.

AAAANYWAYYY, on to the other real Gaga News of the Day. What does this new video teach us about the ways of Gaga the Wise? Here are 5 new things we learned from this video (and surprisingly, there were a lot of new things in this video that we haven't seen in others). Leave it to Gaga to make a video that pretty much has nothing to do with loving a man from Nebraska, and yet, according to her, has everything to do with it. Did that even make sense?

1. Lady Gaga likes to play many versions of herself. OK, so we already knew this, but we thought it was way more over-the-top than before. There's Yuyi the mermaid, drag Lady Gaga, cyborg-widow Lady Gaga from the beginning with the bruised and battered feet (we have to add we LOVE the way the video starts), Normal Lady Gaga, tortured-hate-sex-escapades Lady Gaga, Bride in Shroud Lady Gaga. Thank God she's brought that whole closet of crazy clothes back after the relatively tame Edge of Glory video.

2. Lady Gaga has a male alter ego called "Joe Calderone." Who smokes and moves to that stomping rock music instrumental, like he's getting drunk at a bar. Except he's sitting Umm. Yeah we're as confused as you are. He's twitchy...really twitchy. Although we have to admit, we definitely would not think she was in drag if we didn't know it was her.

3. Normal Lady Gaga looks sort of like a faerie. And we know faeries aren't supposed to look a certain way, but she really does look like one. That being said, we can safely say it's her most normal look since those close-ups of her face that we got in the Bad Romance video (forever a classic that she will probably never top, hard as she might try). Also, bride Gaga seems really nice and normal too. What are the chances of her wedding ever being like that? Pfft.

4. Lady Gaga loves herself. A lot. What do you mean we're cheating? Alright alright, but now we know that she'd be willing to make out with her male self. And so...the more we write about her, the less sane we all sound.

5....Is that a CHIN STRAP she has on when she wears that black outfit and is walking through the field by herself?... ???????

6. Ok this isn't actually from the video, but FINALLY we know why that damn umlaut is in Yoü and I. It's cause Gaga's longtime love, who this rather sweet song was written for, is named Lüc. Go figure.

7. And finally, no LG music video is complete without at least some light bondage, S&M, weird sexual innuendo, etc.

8. Barns are apparently the new "it" place to party it up and have dance breakdowns. Even though it's not a dance song. At all.

Sigh. Fine. WE KNOW we cheated. We just couldn't contain ourselves. There's so much more that we didn't say (Hard to believe, right?).

Overall, this might be - dare we say it - by far the best video from "Born this Way," although it seems to have the same problem as Judas - too many things happening that don't actually fit into a clear plotline. Couldn't we just get a boy-meets-girl-etc-etc video, Gaga? Make our lives easier.

Shashoo rating of the VIDEO: 9/10. C'mon. Did you really thing we would give her a bad grade? But really. Mother Monster says we're not allowed to give bad reviews. Or else. And judging from some of her videos, we really don't want to know what "or else" looks like. It also gets major points for being one of the best and most unexpected songs Lady Gaga has given us. And for not being a club song. These days we're desperate for not-club-songs.

In other Lady Gaga news (because let's face it, there is ALWAYS other Lady Gaga news - it's like two news stories for the price of one!), Gaga's doing Barney's display for Christmas this year. Instead of Santa. Or something.

ENOUGH WITH THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS SET PHOTOS

Ok, that title was really just to get your attention. We're not all that alarmed about it, but we are downright irked.

Anyway, for God's sake, enough with all the photos from the set of The Dark Knight Rises already! All the paparazzi photos are really beginning to get on our nerves, and they are starting to ruin it for us.

Please, we're fanboys and fangirls just like everyone else out there, but let's keep to the official released stills from Warner Bros. We'd like to be excited when we see the actual movie.

Oh Nicola. You had us at "L-O-V-E."

Can you tell that we love newly solo singer Nicola Roberts (of the Girls Aloud British girl-band fame). Because we do. We can't explain to you for the life of us why...but her music just makes us giddy. Take, for example, her first single - "Beat of my Drum." Please note the absolute wackiness and the way that the letters from the L-O-V-E part look like they're spelled backwards. Adorable.

And then there was "Disco, Blisters & a Comedown, " which was the absolute best kind of high-end trashy fun.

And now we have, "Lucky Day," her second official single from her upcoming album, "Cinderella's Eyes." What can we say? Nothing, because we can't stop smiling. Those are some sweet and joyful synths. And we love how we're never quite sure what exactly her expression is.

WE DARE YOU TO WATCH THIS AND NOT FEEL A SUDDEN BURST OF HAPPYNESS. Not happiness. Happyness.

And if you must ask, yes, she's not wearing pants, or "trousers," as Nicola might say. We like to think that part of the budget went to making graffiti sperm on the wall stuff.

SHORT STORY: A Modest Proposal

Dear Diary,

I have come to the conclusion that I might be going crazy. No, I haven’t been
reading those Twilight books again. It’s even worse than that. I have been
experiencing this strange feeling, one that cannot be explained by words. No
matter, I will tell you about this sudden feeling through a memory.

It feels like it happened just yesterday. Well, it kind of did happen yesterday,
but for the sake of making this story sound more like a fairy tale, let’s say it all
happened one week ago.

It was a sunny that day. Actually, it wasn’t sunny at all, but it was rainy.

It had been rainy that day, and I was, as usual, coming back from my
afternoon five-mile jog. When I walked into my small, square office, I shook the
remaining water out of my hair and saw the most beautiful display of flowers, all
bunched up in a pot of soil. They looked like roses, but then again, the lights were
off. After I actually turned on the lights, I realized the object sitting innocently
on my desk was clearly not a vase of roses. No, they weren’t any type of flower.
Instead, there was yet anther dead raccoon sitting on my desk.

Now, you could imagine my disappointment when I saw that there were no
flowers. It was like a huge cloud of despair had just decided to come and pay me a
little visit to ask if we could have tea.

The feeling of despair was not the special feeling that I couldn’t describe in
words, because, as you can see, I did give a very nice description of despair. No, it
was another feeling that comes up a bit later in the story.

Many people would think or ask, ‘Why does this girl have dead raccoons
hanging out on her desk?’ And the answer to this very question is that I don’t
exactly know why I, somehow, have been finding dead raccoons on my desk for the
past five days. Each of these past five days, right after my five-mile jog, I walk into
my lovely office and I find that there is a dead raccoon on my desk.

How did I think that there were flowers on my desk, instead of a dead
raccoon? I really don’t know, but I do know that it wasn’t the first time I had
mistaken the dead raccoon for flowers.

After the little raccoon incident, I took the raccoon by the tail and picked it up
off the table, but before I could throw it out the window, like I did with the last five,

I noticed a strip of paper. There, attached to the left foot of the raccoon, was a thin
strip of paper; the words on it were small, black and typewritten. I squinted to make
out the words and saw the message ‘meet me at 8:00 pm at 234 Washington Road.’

My heart jumped a bit as I wondered who it could be. The only person I
could think of that could display such a loving gesture was Brad, my boyfriend of
two weeks.

Once I had gotten over my daze, I looked at the clock to see that it was
already 7:55. “Oh god,” I muttered as I gathered my purse and stuffed a couple of
unimportant papers into it. Then, I dashed out of my office, still holding the raccoon
in my hand, and called a cab to take me to the address.

I arrived at exactly 8:09 pm. Through the window, I could make out the
form of my boyfriend Brad, and I felt the most exhilarating feeling ever. It was like
I had dinosaurs, not butterflies, stampeding in my stomach, while my palms were
sweating a whole river.

This time, I had not mistaken the object in the dark, because when I finally
did open the door slowly, the lights magically turned on, and I saw Brad, standing
with my bouquet of roses. A small orchestra of three violins started to play, and a
black woman was singing a soft melody very beautifully. I noticed that anchored to
the wall was a sign, showered in a curtain of yellow light, that read the words ‘WILL
YOU MARRY ME?’

I couldn’t believe my eyes, so I, of course, fainted.

Brad apparently had thought I was dead, because when I woke up again, I
saw him curled up in a ball, sobbing about how young I was – “so so so so young” –
and how we never got to have enough time together. One of the violinists spent ten
minutes trying to convince him that I wasn’t dead. He snapped his head up to look
at me with an emotion, a feeling in his wonderful gray and tear-filled eyes. It was
that feeling that I could never place my finger on.

Brad strode over to me, gliding his feet against the sparkly floor and got
on one knee. “I have been waitin’ for the past five days for you to show up,” he
murmured as he took my hand in his.

The next moments were a bit of a blur to me. I can remember me saying a
faint yes, us kissing and talking. I don’t know. I had a lot to drink that night.

And that’s the story of my proposal and the new feeling I experienced. When
I looked up the symptoms of the feeling I was experiencing, the google machine told

me I was in love. What a load of –

Now THAT's how you run a debate.

In case you didn't know, last night there was a Republican Presidential Debate on Fox News. Also in case you didn't know, there were eight (COUNT 'EM: 8!!) candidates who think they're serious about wanting to be president (i.e. taking down the current president, Barack Obama).

And that doesn't even include two other people who seem to be running the whole sideshow without showing up at these things.

We definitely should give credit to Fox News for showing the other networks how a presidential debate should be done.

For those of you who are not so familiar with the race, we'd like to give you a brief rundown of the candidates in order of most to least likely (vaguely, it's not set in stone, alright?) of winning the Republican nomination.

1. Mitt Romney

Known as: The guy who thinks he's cooler than everyone else. Although he probably is. Also the former governor of Massachusetts.

Status: Frontrunner. Nothing has happened so far to convince us he's not going to win this thing.

2. Rick Perry

Known as: The guy who got 25,000 people to a stadium so they could listen to him preach and "pray for our nation." Also an incumbent three-term governor of Texas.

Status: ...So...he actually hasn't entered the race yet...But he's going to on Saturday (August 13)! He's had the pleasure of watching the candidates chew each other at last night's debate without having to even be there. And obviously it says a lot about the race when he hasn't even entered and he's in second place, right?

3. Ron Paul

Known as: Our personal favorite #2 (#1 is further down). The adorable old man who keeps showing up to these things every four years. He's actually a Congressman in the House of Representatives.

Status: Well, frankly, we're shocked that he even made it this high up on the list. Pleasantly shocked, that is.

4. None of them

Known as: Sarah Palin. Swear to God. We doubt this woman needs any further introduction.

Status: WHO THE FLIP KNOWS!! IT MAKES US WANT TO PULL OUR HAIR OUT. Just kidding. But seriously. That bus tour that seems to just keep going is hitting all the early primary/caucus states...for no apparent reason? Color us confused.

5. Michele Bachmann

Known as: The lady with the crazy eyes (thanks Newsweek for giving us fresh nightmares) and Sarah Palin's alleged friend. But seriously, she's currently a congresswoman from Minnesota and one of the leaders of the Tea Party Movement.

Status: She's doing pretty well in Iowa. The boys better watch out. Assuming Sarah Palin and Rick Perry don't show up and steal her thunder. Oh...wait.

6. Newt Gingrich

Known as: The less adorable old guy who seems to get booed a lot at these things. A little on the crazy side. He lost most of his staff in one day in the aftermath of some controversial comments he made about the Medicare reform plan proposed by Republicans in Congress. He's also a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Status: LOL #1. Oh Mr. Gingrich.

7. Herman Cain

Known as: The guy who quoted a song from the 2000 "Pokemon" movie, which he allegedly called "a powerful piece of cinema." But seriously, he's the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza. Whatever that is. Let's be honest though, anything that he says or does makes any debate more interesting.

Status: LOL #2. At least his thoughts on Sharia Law are utterly fascinating. Just kidding.

8. Jon Huntsman

Known as: Our personal favorite #1. He's the former governer of Utah, as well as Barack Obama's former ambassador to China (up until he decided to run, naturally).

Status: Alas. He's probably way too far back to make a dent in the race, but it's nice to have this ONE moderate voice in this conservative catfight.

9. Rick Santorum

Known as: The guy with the crazy eyes. He's a former senator of Pennsylvania.

Status: We honestly have ZERO idea what this guy is doing here, and the fact that he's even beating Tim Pawlenty is utterly baffling to us.

10. Tim Pawlenty

Known as: The former governor of Minnesota.

Status: LOL #3. Poor guy. He's trying so hard. Maybe he should try to be a little less snarky in the last debate.

One island, one girl and one big plan

"What three things would you take if you were stuck on a deserted island?"

This question is actually asked a lot. Well, at least I've heard it asked a couple of times.

Now, if it were me, I wouldn't even be on a deserted island, but I can't really use that as an answer.

If I were on a deserted island, I would bring food and water, because, obviously, I would die sooner or later without any, and I would like to keep living. Then, I'm left with the tossup choice. I wouldn't bring my computer unless there was someway to recharge it and there was wireless internet service. In short, I'd bring a huge helicopter with a full tank of gas, so I could fly off the island.

Ta da! I'm off the island. Technically, I didn't even need the food and water...

What would you bring?

After some very disappointing recent singles, this is a very pleasant surprise. It's a good combination of tongue-in-cheek lyrics and punkiness. (Ok that's not a word, but you must forgive us; it's late).

Take Your Complaints to Another State

Everyone has that friend or knows that person that is always complaining and blaming everyone EXCEPT themselves for their failures.

First, I would like to point out that if you fail a math test – or just any test in general – the teacher does not “have it out for you,” as you constantly tell me. To much of the teacher’s disappointment, they can’t fail you without the consequence of getting fired, so they wouldn’t fail you just to get you mad. Obviously, you are either too stupid to pass a simple test or you’re spending too much time arguing about how it’s not fair instead of doing what you should be – studying.

I understand that you might be mad that you failed, but for Merlin’s sake, take responsibly for your actions before you expect me to comfort you and side with you.

My Top 5 Facebook Pet Peeves

At this point, pretty much everyone on the internet has a Facebook, and as our lists of friends get longer and longer, and Facebook keeps changing, we inevitably run into more and more things that just annoy us. Here are our Top 5 pet peeves about Facebook. Feel free to add some of your own!

1. Pictures with people sticking out their tongue.

News flash: I have no desire to stare at your tongue every time I visit your profile; it really isn’t that pretty.

2. Picture where the person is posing in front of the bathroom mirror with their friends or by themselves.

News flash: Why would I want to look at a picture with toilets in the background?

3. Requests to play on Farmville or any other Facebook game.

News Flash: I’ve been on Facebook for quite a long time. If I had wanted to play those time consuming games, I would have done it by now – I don’t need you to keep sending me requests over and over again.

4. People that update their status every 10 minutes.

News Flash: I get it already! This isn’t Twitter! I don’t need to know when you start dinner and when you finish. At least tell people when you are going to sleep – then I can go on when your name isn’t popping up every five minutes.

5. People that argue and fight on each other’s profiles.

News Flash: Even though it can be pretty entertaining, it gets annoying when you constantly fight with your friend on Facebook. Are you really that much of a news feed whore that you need to display YOUR problems for everyone to see?

Lights (Bassnectar Remix) - Ellie Goulding

And fortunately, this is one of those rare cases when the remix somehow improves dramatically from the original (and the original here was pretty good to begin with).

"It Girl" by Jason Derulo

What happened?

He hit the ground running with the hit song "Whatcha Say." Now we have "It Girl," yet another song that begins with whistling - and not the good kind. It's always great to hear a song where "girl" rhymes with "girl." It's also always so romantic to hear a self-proclaimed "maniac insomniac" croon about how you're worth "much more than a Grammy Award." Good. We were worried about that.

This is Derulo's second release from his new album, Future History, following "Don't Wanna Go Home."

On a positive note, at least he he doesn't sing "JASON DERULO" in the beginning of the song.
