Oh that's Right!

A taste of RCs and Rock-crawling

2012-01-03T15:46:00.001-08:00

My boys always try to convince me to buy them remote control trucks. Yeah right! And that's with at least half dozen broken ones in the back yard. My eldest got me to buy him a RC at Ross for half the price. Price paid off since they retail for over $150 and I paid $39.99!

We took it to a rc rock-crawling course
to test it out. It performed well but diff innately not like a pro rc truck. Either way it was cheap and fun! My smaller boys also took their armature rc trucks from Target. Fun day with my boys

Happy New Adventures!!!

2012-01-01T23:14:00.001-08:00

86 degrees in Cali. God sure is good! I woke up this morning wanting to hike, walk our Patchy or maybe just maybe hit the waves but instead we ended up at Grinchmas! Trust me visiting Universal Studios is not my first, second or third choice but I have little ones who would love to experience some more normal Hollywood stuff. Ehhh, I would rather go to the Zoo!

Mama went Snow!

2011-12-27T09:13:00.001-08:00

Big bear is a wonderful place to get away from. It's just a short drive from the city with breath taking views.

We decided to take on a winter storm and drive up the hill on a very snowy day. We made a snow man, went off roading, sledding, and best of all drifting! I scarred the jibblers out of everyone.

Oh, that's right! Mama is crazy. :)

Yikes, rock climbing!

2011-09-05T23:33:00.000-07:00

No, there wasn't any rock climbing in my white beauty though I did wish I had a long travel. I had no chance against the giant boulders. Tempting very temping. There wasn't no labor this Labor Day weekend. Well, unless your a mom of 3 very active boys. We made our way to Crab Flats near Arrowbear and Running Springs in the San Bernardino Mountains for some rough and tough off roading. I never knew this gem was in our back yard. Only 1.5 hr away from SGV. Why has no one ever told me? Camping, quads and off roading...now that's paradise! Check it out...

2nd Favorite Museum: LACMA

2011-08-25T14:20:00.000-07:00

Were else can your children paint, run around the beautiful grounds and see live tar? Nop, no where else in southern California. I believe I have shared with you before about the Arts For Nexgen LACMA program but if you missed it here it goes again. Yes, it's FREE which also includes an adult. Talk about a deal. Art camps and classes are offered as well as the Boone Children's Gallery which is open for kids to learn about painting and also make a masterpiece to take home. Sunday's are family day's offering children the chance to make art, explore the museum or join in on a gallery tour. To many fun activities to list. Check out their website at www.lacma.org

Get Into Nature!

2011-08-18T13:59:00.000-07:00

Oh California how I adore you! Within an hours drive I can be at the beach or at the mountains. You can't do that in any other state and still have great weather. Just a short drive away in the San Bernardino Mountains lies Big Bear. The most adventures, thrilling and beautiful place to be. The mountains are in full bloom awaiting every mountain biker who dares to ride the gondola up the mountain. Indeed, it was I who couldn't wait to ride up the mountain with a MTB bike in hand. The only thing I wasn't expecting was actually being afraid of heights. Maybe a little more nervous. My eldest son is a die hard Mountain Biker Beast. So, I took him out for a what would seem like a nice stroll down the mountain. NOT! I literally walked my bike all the way down the mountain. Yes, I'm was a chicken but once I felt comfortable I jumped on my bike and went full speed! Watch out Bear Mountain mama is coming to get you! Oh

Here's a the link to Big Bear: www.bigbear.com

There were a few hiccup's but I made it out alive with big smiles. Thank you son for showing me new adventures!

Wordless Day

2011-08-17T23:45:00.000-07:00

There are many times when all I hear is silence. Not the boys calling my name or arguing about who had what toy first. Not even Pache barking away. Is it that I zone everything out and wish I had some adult interaction...maybe so. Cheers to all the stay at home moms with more then 3 kids!!! Viva to CHU (as my friend Lluvia would say)!!!

Cleanse the soul...trust me it's true!

Yes, moms always need their fix! Victory beer with lemon, pepper and tapatillo! Ummm!

Happy Birthday Lupe!

Have you ever heard of Mountain Lakes, Lytle Creek Ca?

2011-08-03T00:59:00.000-07:00

We took the kids to this small yet big mountain resort tucked away in the small town of Lytle Creek in the San Bernardino Mountains. Sadly, it is a memebers only resort. They offer camping, cabins, and RV hook-ups, basketball courts, horse shoe pits, fishing, family center, laundry, and so much more. We had such a good time. I invite you to check it out! The big Two

2011-08-01T09:55:00.000-07:00

I should call this day a national holiday and announce to the kid world that Landen is turning 2 today. Happy Birthday little fella. This year we decided not to have a big bash but take him on a trip to the beach and ending the day with dinner and a cake. I'll post pictures soon, but for now let's reminise on this past year of joy.

LA Zoo

2011-07-31T00:03:00.000-07:00

It's an amazing big oasis in Los Angeles. We absolutely love animals and the LA Zoo is our ultimate fav! It has evolved through out the years and trust me it was for the best. I took the kids on yet another adventure and invited my brothers family and my BFF/Sister. The weather was perfectly cool. We saw many animals active and giving the audience a show. The best part of the zoo is that they allow coolers and wagons inside. Nothing better then a picnic inside the LA ZOO.

Did I mention...Off Roading!?

2011-07-22T01:22:00.000-07:00

As the only girl in my immediate family, I have been deprived of anything and everything girly. My 3 boys and cowboy have made sure I can handle the getting in and out of a lifted Chevy truck. Thank goodness for P-90X! I love everything 4x4 especially a white Toyota Tacoma, black widow (Jeep) and the little bitty Rhino. You better watch out if you see me in the street I'll crush you! LOL! Seriously, I'm kidding. Last weekend we took the boys for some mud fun at great Azusa Canyon and let me tell you it was pretty intense. Huge roaring lifted trucks with giant tires going through the water and getting stuck half way in the course. I was sure glad to see everyone helping and pulling each other out of the mud. My cowboy through on the bikini top on the jeep then headed up Azusa Rd for some MUD fun in the SUN. As I always say..."bring it on baby, because there's no stopping this mama"! :)

Oh that's Right! But, why?

2011-07-16T19:30:00.000-07:00

My first official b-l-o-g! Yikes! Honestly, I'm excited. Alexander, my soon to be 4 year old is extremely cleaver, hyper and always comes up with the funniest phrases. One morning he was helping me prepare breakfast and as we are mixing the egg batter he tells me, Ohhh that's righhhttt! Ohhh that's Righhhttt Mom! I suddenly stopped, smiled, and laughed while telling him "Yes, that's right Alexander. First we must pour half cup milk." We have adapted the phase ever since. Meet my little pride and joy, Alexander.

Oh, that darling little fella in the UCLA jersey is my little t-o-u-g-h baby boy, Landen. Watch out he is stronger then you think. Love, nature and action is what we are about. Stay tuned because this stay at home rough and tough momma is not done blogging just yet! :)
